Nik Huber Krautster 3

I’ll tell you the story for this guitar:
I always wanted to have a Krautster 2 by Nik Huber, so prior to this years Guitar Summit I thought I’d go to his booth, check out one and maybe order one, but Nik decided to put up a little video on instagram a few days before summit with the new Krautster 3, so my first thought was „damn, now I need to buy two of his guitars“.
Long story short, I visited their booth and it was love at first sight, so I gotten contact after the summit and wanted to oder one. Little did I know they had reserved 2 of them going out to testers and magazines and Aaron made me an offer I couldn’t turn down, so now only one is left for the magazines.
I had a gig yesterday in Mainz and went to pick it up today, so this is litleraly the first time of me plugging this thing in.
As I’m prepping for the Jini Meyer shows in October it was totally necessary to play one of her songs called „Regen der nach oben fällt“ from her old band „Luxuslärm“.
It was recorded with my Hook Captain 6L6 going into my Grossmann Iso-Cab with a Celestion Creamback and 2 Mics (Shure SM57 and beyerdynamic M201). The Mics are panned hard left & right, no EQ was added, so you’re hearing the unprocessed sound here. All the gain is coming from the amp, no pedals, no nothing, just guitar straight into the amp.

And if anyone is wondering: no, I won’t leave Ibanez, I will go on and use my 3 main axes (AZ, Timmons and AM200) live and in the studio, but this new buddy will join them here and there and will have it’s place at their side. Up for a peaceful coexistence, as we all love guitars.
