THERE IS A WHOLE BUILD SERIES ON THIS TRUCK! WATCH IT HERE! czcams.com/video/8ZZNVc2kCZU/video.html
Stacks on a gas motor ? Remember the MOPAR "Lil Red Express "? Gas motor with stacks and I don't think any one makes fun of it ! Flo-Master makes some of the best sounding mufflers IMHO . Everything from full out race mufflers to stock sounding factory silencers . She sure is coming right along and looking good too ! Keep up the good work !
Those Little Red Express and the Warlocks were awesome pieces. 360 CI, 4 barrel carb, 4 speed manual and the stacks. Boy I just dated myself on that comment lol
@@darcywalls1465 ; Yeah , you and me both !!! HAHAHA!
Dont worry about what people might say about your projects. Iv had lots of fun poked at me for my choices on builds. Do what you like and never mind the scoffers. Looks great so far!
Coming on a treat now ,looks like you had some British weather.
This reminds me of the A-Team van. I had their matchbox van as a kid.
Dual Flowmasters, chose the loudness you like, exit them in front of dualies.
Cheers,
Richard
Goodness gracious. Nothing but good clean wholesome entertainment. Revolving around generational self sufficiency, nothing but fun and hard work. YET some yahoo has to hit the dislike button. I clicked on this video within 2 minutes of the original posting. There were 7 views, 1 like, and 1 dislike. Obviously there is a subbie sitting waiting to make their bitter opinion known. I don't know who the sorry subbie is, but do everybody a favour and move on. How is it possible to dislike ANY CZcams video in two minutes flat? Go Leafs Go!!!!
Oh my gosh! Such cute girls... make sure to show them off once in a while!
Cheers,
Richard

One of the quieter flow master mufflers, a dynomax muffler, something of that nature.
Tie the two pipes into a single 3” .
Thats plenty for the power of a stock 350.
Run it all the way to behind the rear wheel. Otherwise it will drone.
That gets old quick.
If you want a bit better sound without being crazy loud is a plain old $50 Thrush standard looking muffler. They sound good and throaty without being overly loud, like the Red straight glass pack things are. That thing is deadly by the way 👍👍👍👍
Sweet! I was hoping someone would offer up an idea. Thanks Pat! Delete the muffler, shorten the exhaust a little, and add the thush?
@@kyle_noseworthy yup the Thrush looks like your standard muffler. I have put them on 4.3 Chevys and 2.8s and 3.5. all with great results. My 3.5 litre Montana SV6 ran 100 times better with one of those on it. The original style mufflers were huge, long and worked like crap.
@@kyle_noseworthy www.amazon.ca/dp/B00029J3AW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_i_65N4X4SCFQMK501MV4MN like that guy. They come in different inlet outlet sizes.
The neighbor lady on the opposite side of the street who is peeping through the half drawn curtains is saying " hey Abner, look how fast that fellow moves" something is up..
I vote for El Camino style!!!
Good idea I never thought of doing something like this
Now she is really starting to look like a flat bed! I vote for dual exhaust with flowmaster mufflers & pipes that exit on both sides in front of the rear wheels.
She's Coming Along Quite Well, Kyle Thanks For The Post ! Have A Swell Victoria Day Weekend. ATB T God Bless
Great project and great family!
The next time I come home I’m coming to find this van! Lol
That Rv waas pretty solid for a 76 , usually the cabover part is all mush
I suggest a dual glasspack setup with side exit exhaust. Or you can get turndown tips and face them toward the ground so it echos off the ground. Creates a good sounding rumble.
Saving screws yep
Learned at young age keep useful things
I think use Newfoundlanders been recycling long before it was called that lol
Exhaust, I have a Dynomax on my truck
It has a flapper that keeps it at a nice note until you open it up
Best part it’s available three your local NAPA
I love it an it’s not obnoxious towing the camper
So glad Im watching your 2 prior to me doing mine, collecting as many ideas as I can from you alll, It is so nice when big chunks of the project comes together. When you said it was alot heavier your not kidding, A couple years ago when I was figuring weights out I decided to bring it to the scales with it in dry weight mode, no water no nuthing but the actual RV, it weighed in at a surprisingly less weight then I thought to be honest, 7600 pounds dry. Mike.
Like a good haircut !
Twin stacks are the go, I have twin 3" stacks on a 454cu in, it sounds quiet enough until you feed it some extra fuel, then it rattles the windows on the shops in the main Street
Loving this series. I like the convertible look.man I love the view from your house. It’s amazing
Nice project, should be fun to finish. Keep on keepin on...
Loving the soundtrack with the Hammond organ!
If this works out I'll honestly be amazed. It seems like such a huge amount of work for a vehicle which mechanically might end up having a bunch of parts that'll require replacement in the next couple of years. Exciting project for sure!
You best prepare to catch your jaw on the way down, so you dont break any teeth on the floor!
@@kyle_noseworthy 😂 be nice, my dental only covers 50% on major work.
@@Bynming Haha I'm not saying I'm going to strike you! I'm saying your jaw will drop with surprise! haha
@@kyle_noseworthy I will try to moderate my amazement!
Good work on that beast. I love it when a plan comes together.
It was nice to see the DR made a cameo appearance! For older engines, Flow Master, Mbrp or Magna Flow will sound really nice without being obnoxiously loud. The progress you guys made so far is great! We're anxiously awaiting to see the end result and enjoying the journey! *T4S*
If you do side exhaust I recommend cats n go straight pipe or Flowmaster 40s maybe glasspacks
Unreal. What a fun project, Might build one myself someday.
can't wait to see next part :D
A side exit exhaust that comes out between the back of the cab and the rear wheels, with a basic Dynomax Turbo muffler will be inexpensive and sound great.
Looking fantastic, Kyle!
She sure is coming along fast! I can not believe how solid that frame is! Love this project.
Thanks Peter! It's a super solid truck. Unbelievable condition for the year, especially!
I think your neighbors are screaming my house values are going down, because this guy wants to save a few bucks! Lol😃
I have Flowmaster on my daily driver mustang . I also had them on a Chevy truck . They both sound amazing. I dont have the truck anymore . Thrush sound great with a 350 motor too . Great video as always !!! Take care and stay safe my friend !!!
Tuned headers, Corvette mufflers!
Looking better every video, she's cleaning up good Kyle👍 Magna flow exaust would sound good on that 350 engine 3" pipe.. looking forward to the next one. Take care god bless..
At 8:15 ....who still has Christmas lights?
Keep the good videos coming
I have a set of Doug Thorley smog headers that I had a 2” pipe with a flow master 40 series muffler on. Sounded good at idle, and was pleasantly loud at full rip.
I'm gonna save this one for after I return from work.👍🌲☺
You're awesome! Throw your feet up and enjoy it buddy. Have a great evening!
I’ve had good luck with magnaflow mufflers even the cheap knock offs.. gives you that deep sound but as long as you keep your foot out of it you won’t have bad for making a 6am lumber run
I don’t know why but I am WAY too hooked on this van project ha ha…keep up the great work skipper
Impossible! I would suggest that you are the exact right amount of 'hooked'! :-D Thanks for watching and commenting buddy!
Another good video. Glass pack exhaust would be good but I like noise. Looking forward to seeing how your going to finish your cab. A lot of precise work coming.
The glasspack might be a little TOO loud. I'll have to think about it. As for the cab, that is going to be the toughest part of the project!
was thinking of doing that but add another extended cab on the back first.
you need a sand blaster to get the rust off that frame
Good looking family! Explains why you've been too busy to take down the Christmas lights:)
I dig it brotha❤
Rollcage so when it's together has a little safety built in
Looking good so far. I think if it were me this I might still stack it, looks great even if it is a gas engine.
Put California turbo exhaust . That what I have on mine
I love it! As far as exhaust split it with a cross over pipe and run it straight out and dump behind rear axle. Use some magna-flow mufflers. Sound will be toward back as well as fumes. Do you have to run a cat? Fuel Filler neck can be done when bed on. A lot of possibilities here.
I am going to run side pipes up like diesel stacks on mine.
you can go road warrior and
Mount a 50 cal turret where roof hole is ha! Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much for taking the time to write some good serious options for me, Jason. With this age of vehicle, it doesn't need a cat. Agreed on the filler neck. This was a temporary hold until I see where the bed will end up!
I'll think hard on your exhaust options!
@@kyle_noseworthy 15th rd
I think it’s awesome man, it’s gonna be a great truck. You should keep those cab corners, might need them as a template down the road.
Thanks Dean! I kept the inside pieces that match the contour of the cab, just incase I need a template! Good thinking though! :-D
Do you know what brand of camper that was or was it homemade? looked like it was strong construction compared to how they're built today...! 💪
Just make sure you lock the doors 😊
haha Can't forget that!
But don't lock the keys inside!
Looking good! FYI, when I setup my gas filler neck like you did, the gas would back up in the neck and kick off the gas nozzle frequently. I ended up with the filler neck inside of the frame and directly above the tank in order to prevent the nozzle from kicking off. Let me know if yours shuts off multiple times when filling. Looking forward to next weeks video!
Thanks for the heads up, Randy! I'll check it out. This is more of a temporary fix so I can drive it in the mean time, but thanks for the insight.
I really like the convertible look brother.
haha Leave the cab open?! 😂😂
@@kyle_noseworthy might be a little nippy in the winter Kyle lol
My husband and I bought a 75 Chevy with the same exact body and planned to rebuild the inside and now we don’t have the means to do so. I’m on the fence of getting rid of it or making into a toy hauler or 5th wheel hauler
Kyle how is the suction on that cordless vacuum?
If at first you don't succeed, get a bigger hammer. LOL
Turbo muffler and turn down
side pipes
Gut out the catalytic converters it's like having a straight pipe
A truck this old and this big never had cats.
Correct!
Headers
Hey Kyle I gotta ask man you ever been around botwood ? Hahaha I’ve just came across your videos I love what your doing man keep it up 👍
Where did you get this idea anyway?
Dual cherrybombs exiting just in front of rear wheels might sound nice ?
Would that be ultra loud?
@@kyle_noseworthy Only for the neighbours 😏 🇬🇧🇨🇦
Why did you do that
You have did a lot of work if I was you I would run stacks and I wouldn't care what people thought about it you're the one going to be driving it and it's paid for so if I was you I'd been with the way I want to build it you can't please everybody you got to please yourself
First
Yee haw!
You can send me back bumper off van
Just busting your chops here.......Your safety glasses are doing a great job protecting your hat, just sayin' lol (I know I'm a safety Nazi)
I think u could have just used 4 guys 4 jacks and a screw gun instead taking each part off one at a time 😳🙄
Stack the exhaust...anyone doesn't like it can G.T.H.
