    Yup great images of the Pronghorn, the moose shots and video are so impressive, and your 610 and family images are epic. Wildlife photographers tend to be one of two types; you want an image of a certain critter in a certain scene, much, much harder or you accept that you are on a journey and what you see, and record is what you get, sure you can fine tune it a bit better, but it is the less stressful of the two paths. For a man who is making his major income from selling prints, you need those that are different and special, and I commend you for your passion and work ethic. Once again thank you for sharing your travel and your efforts.

    These shots, specifically the ones of that bull looking right at you, are unbelievable. I've been lucky enough to grow up in the area and my dad is actually a professional photographer I've picked up some tricks from, but half the time it's just placing yourself in the right place and getting lucky with the right time. The fall colors mixed with the coloration of the moose are stunning. You know a true artist by the way they can frame and take photos, and those are a few absolute stunners. I also just wanted to say, thank you for showcasing the beauty of this area while also respecting the ecosystem and wildlife simultaneously. We've seen more rise of issues due to tourists just not educating themselves in recent years, so seeing something like this of someone who's just living in the moment and respecting the massive, beautiful creatures in this park is just very refreshing for someone who's born and raised with the Tetons as my backyard. Absolutely amazing videography, storytelling, and photographs. Big ups, and can't wait to see what the future holds!

    Just absolutely stunning photography! Great job!
    We’ve been up to Teton/Yellowstone almost ten times and we like to rent a Swarovski scope from Optiks Yellowstone and get pics through the scope with a phone adapter.
    They aren’t professional pictures, but on a cell phone they look great. Best bang for your buck if you’re just a vacationer wanting to get cool pics.
    One of the most memorable things we’ve seen is a mother black bear (cinnamon color) with 2 cubs that caught a baby elk on Mt Washburn.
    Frankly, It was traumatizing to watch because the mother bear was teaching the cubs how to kill, but they just ate on the poor thing until it died after around 30minutes to an hour.
    Last time we were able to get a glimpse of 2 mountain lion cubs crossing the road around Cody one night, mom must have been off the road. Bucket list sighting for sure, but didn’t get any pictures.
    Love the videos! 😎

    • @wattswildlifephoto
      @wattswildlifephoto  Před měsícem +1

      Thank you! The scope option is a fantastic choice… you get much more range with that than with a long lens!
      Wow, what a couple of sightings! Most people don’t get to see those things. The lions especially… despite the countless hours I’ve spent in the field here, I just saw my first wild lion 2 days ago. They are so very elusive.

    • @trev5.566
      @trev5.566 Před měsícem

      @@wattswildlifephoto Glad you got to finally see a lion!
      We really have enjoyed renting those scopes. I know they offer adapters for professional cameras as well. I’m sure there are big downsides with the scope vs a big lens (like only manual focus), but I’m curious how it would compare with a big lens if you attached a camera like yours, for example, to it. Those things are about the same price as those fancy lenses anyway…..out of my price range 🤣

    You’re my favorite CZcamsr And I’m going to the Tetons and Yellowstone this summer. Can you tell me any good spots to see wildlife like bears? Or wolves.

    • @wattswildlifephoto
      @wattswildlifephoto  Před měsícem +3

      Thank you! North part of Tetons is better for bears, north part of Yellowstone is better for wolves. Wolf sightings are likely going to be 1-2 miles away through a spotting scope though, unless you get extremely lucky.
      With that said though, I’ve seen bears and wolves all over both parks, and time of year is huge in affecting where they will be at. What month are you coming?

    • @seaoc6578
      @seaoc6578 Před měsícem

      Looking for wolves, your best bet is Lamar Valley in Yellowstone. I don't know if you're getting a camper, but to stay in the valley itself the only way to do it is with a hard-sided one, so just know that. They're extremely challenging to both find and photograph/video, so don't get your hopes up. I'm a local to the area and have only seen a handful of wolves, so just keep it realistic, but your best bet is Lamar Valley. As far as Bear go, the northern end of the Grand Teton tends to be a great spot to see them. That said, they can really been seen anywhere throughout the park. Generally if you ask rangers or park staff they can at least tell you some locations of more recent sightings as they often have radios of where cars are stopped along roads looking for animals. It also depends on the month you go in. Later in the season, like late fall in this video, is great for bears because they're in that foraging period. Spring (honestly right around now), can also be quite good because they're just waking up. If you go in the middle of the summer (say August), I'd suggest getting into the park near sunrise or sunset for the most action of the animals, as they often bed down and rest in the shade during the day and come out to forage/hunt when the temperatures decrease. Other than that, if you've got any other questions too I'd love to help out where I can.

    This is an awesome trip. Last fall (September) I was in the Tetons for a week with my wife. I was incredibly lucky to spend nearly 5 hours with a monster moose. He didn’t move too far which gave me time to get some incredible shots that I am tremendously proud of. I was also able to see 610 at that same junction you did, but was unable to get good photos of her and the cubs as they passed by quite quickly. I look forward to my next trip to the Tetons (hopefully next fall) to attempt to get even better shots.
