What a wonderful bit of nostalgia. My first car I bought when I turned 15yo for $1400. It was 1978 mustang II cobra. I had bought it from an elderly lady whom had left it in the garage since the day her husband died in 88 coincidentally I was born in 88. I got my license when I turned 16 and had 3 speeding tickets in 3 months got license suspended and parents confiscated the key to the car for a year. But in that time I started checking off boxes completing repairs and upgrades. By the end my sentence I still couldn't drive for an extra 3 months because I had pulled the 302 out and had was replacing it with a 351windsor with true duel exhaust that dumped out the side and I had a cherry bombs for mufflers. I was an absolute menace. I miss my 78.
