Mike this is the most thorough exclamation and brake down of a vehicle I have ever heard. And I used to sell the cars & trucks for GM.
The Chevy Blazer (built in Mexico) is the best looking SUV on the road today. But for well over $10k less, I bought a Kia Sorento (built in West Point, GA).
I have a black on black on black RS and love it. Performance, style, comfort, everything!
5:21 you need to hold down the panic button for the horn. It does that if you need too find the car when you just click it
I have a 2001 Blazer, restored, and I wouldn't trade you even for this one. It's over priced starting at 30K-40K and made in Mexico. Mine is made in the USA and I'll still be driving it when this one is for sale on Craigs List.

Test drive this. Really really good. Didn't expect that. Much better than the passport and Santa Fe I drove. I would say I felt this interior was also slightly nicer. But the back seats in the passport have loads of room.
If I was going to choose between all 5 seat SUVs in this class, I'd pick this. Better driving dynamics and all the room I need with a normal v6 engine and no turbo crap.

Did Chevy only release Base and RS versions at first? I work for a Chevy dealership, and we haven't had a Premier yet, all we've had are Base's and RS's. We *just* now ordered a Premier, according to our inventory.
The Blazer entry point is much less than Honda Passport. Plenty of Blazers for sale on autotrader.

great video as always.....however Chevy needs to check itself for real. at almost 50k and has waaaaay too much cheap hard plastic, no full one touch auto windows (even my almost base model VW Jetta has full one touch up/down windows on all four), and no full LED headlights/Taillights, just sad and disappointing. But on a lighter note, you've got the best in-depth review vids around!!!

@@normt5463 ANY vehicle north of 30K shouldn't have hard plastic upper door panel parts. and as far as the discounts I never take that into consideration when comparison shopping because you never know what discounts you will qualify for....part of that chevy discount is probably recent college grad and military discount....or brand loyalty discount...I'm sure the Blazer is a nice enough vehicle but I just hate when brands cheap out in the most noticeable areas....

Blazer is cheaper than the Ford Edge and on the same price range as Honda Passport.The only difference is you are getting a better vehicle with the Blazer

I love my new Blazer 4x4, 3.6! Gets 50 Mpg when I lie but on a 198 mile delivery in hilly roads it got 27.3 mog!
My best friend in high school had a real chevy blazer. That thing was absolutely awesome. Had power, capability, could fit a ton of crap in it. And now we have this........oh chevy. What have you done. Not a fan at all.
Okay, fine you like the Old Blazer, it;'s great yes. BUT, Gm was aiming to build the "Old Blazer", They were building the "NEW Blazer." Not the old one!
Nice, but expensive. $48,000! You could get a similar size Hyundai Santa Fe that has just as many features, but a 4 cylinder engine for $12,000 less, or a turbo 4 for $10,000 less. Is 2 more cylinders and a Chevy badge really worth the extra $10,000? Or you could get a fully loaded larger 3 row SUV for the same money as this... Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, Subaru Ascent, VW Atlas, Hyundai Palisade... take your pick. All of those cars will give you more for your money than this.

It’s really way over priced, looks are not that good either. I’d choose the new Telluride yeah it maybe a Kia but it’s really nice & for under 50 grand fully loaded (can’t forget the cooled rear seats & about 34 grand base you can’t beat what you get for that price
Telluride is not worth $50K and is on the cheap side. Even my 70-year old Mom said why sitting in it was that it was trying to be upscsle.

Nice SUV, but it doesn't offer anything different than its competitors and it is a bit more expensive, and on the top of that, the styling is very swoopy, like nearly every other SUV out there, no wonder the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Ford Explorer are best sellers despite their age.

@@vr4787 It's smaller than the Traverse, no 3rd row. And costs less as well. It fits in a good place. Larger and more powerful than an Equinox, smaller but just as utilitarian than a Traverse.
Saw 1 in person, nope never going to own this. It gets lost in a sea of copycat suv's. GM really missed the mark on this one. I've been a gm fan forever, even worked for GM for 10yrs. Sadly I will be looking at a Ford bronco when it they come out. They took the heritage of the name and built what appears to be an awesome looking vehicle. Only time will tell.
I purchased this car and have had to take it for the dealer multiple times for different reasons i shouldn't have had to deal with. Don't buy a general motors product just a tip.

2. No it's not the old 1970's-80's Blazer. Its new. GM wasn't aiming to be the "Old Blazer". It was designed to be the NEW Blazer. It even say's "The NEW 2019 Blazer". Not "Redesigned Blazer".
3. Overpriced, Yes it is a bit overpriced.
4. I like the new Blazer's style. I personally own one and I love it.
5. I tend to disagree, despite many people not liking it, there are TONS of people who love this car. It may be around for a few more years, maybe longer.
6. Wow great observation champ, this is NOT Europe.
7. It does have it's flaws, but it's not a total failure.

@@dmitryb1286 the new 2018 Equinox had lower repair rate than the RAV4 and 1/3rd less than repairs than CR-V. GM can make a good product and better than older Japanese models according to early data from Truedelta.
I don't see the Blazer a but another quality success from GM. Especially for what they charge and competition from the new Honda Passport.
Hell no! I'm going to buy the Blazer RS soon. This is a real sport of SUV in the market. It got styles, sharp looks of sport SUV, got enough powers with 9 speed to play with. Now and day, American vehicles are build with high performance of new technology and got styles way, way much better than the Japanese vehicles. RS, I'm on my way to get you!

What a joke, this is a big time disgrace to not only fans of the K5 Blazer, but the fans of the s10 blazer as well and another string of huge disappointments by not only chevy (chevy was on a roll in recent times with the great 2014-20 impala, the camaro, the c7, c8 corvettes, the volt and others), but also yet again general motors.
