- Welcome to QATAR AIRWAYS A380 economy class trip report!
We are flying from Doha Airport to Bangkok on the amazing Airbus A380.
A380 configuration : 3-4-3 in Economy, First class: 8 open suites, Business: 48 flat bed seats,Economy class:461 standard seats.
The A380, the world’s largest passenger jet, features a tri-class configuration of seating in First, Business and Economy Class, over two decks with a dedicated onboard premium lounge. From the warm welcome when you arrive, to the state-of-the-art entertainment system and delicious gourmet dining, our secret to unforgettable flying is simple: it’s all in the detail.
Around 1 hour after take cabin crew members served Brunch with consist of 3 choices :Hand-rolled cheese omelette with chicken sausage, Asian style beef meatballs and Penne pasta Parmesan herb sauce.
On the tray you will have seasonal fruits ,bread, water and Peach mousse.
Before landing crew offered two delicious options: Chicken puff and the vegetarian option Tomato and basil pizza slice.

Qatar, who was the first a350 operator was the biggest a350 operator until April 2021.
Now that Qatar's Airbus order is reinstated, Qatar will become the largest operator of the a350 again. Qatar was itself my first favorite airline for a350.

Flew Emirates A380 Manchester to Dubai,brilliant service.Then flew boeing 777 to Japan to visitson&daughter in law,not keen on 777.Then did return 3 weeks later could not fault Emirates at all.17 hours journey each way,but glad wife& myself did it.

Indeed. Others have complained about the 777. Y class is dense at 3-4-3 while J class is uncompetitive at 2-3-2. I mean EK's J class on the 380 is 1-2-1.
@@alexmcwhirter6611 that’s true the B777 ( 2-3-2 ) on emirates is not one of the best and have a lot of complains from many customers and only few EK 777 have the new configuration in business 2-2-2 , thanks for watching ✈️😀

Usually qatar airways on the A380 stars feo. The front and then middle section and final the back section , they have 3 gates for the A380 , thank you for watching

QR is a great airline with onboard staff to match. But the CEO is not a fan of the A380 ... unfortunately. He says he will only operate the A380 for a couple of years before retiring them. But of course things might change.
Yes you are right ! The CEO said he doesn’t like it and will try to get ride of then very soon , that’s very sad 😞, but the A380 really is working for emirates airlines

Thank you for this trip report. I'm noticing a trend on Qatar Airways. The Economy class meal service seems to have been greatly reduced from years past. It does not appear to be a 5 star standard.

Second favorite airline from the Middle East after Emirates
Will be flying Qatar to Thailand next Apr and first leg to Doha is on the 380, interesting to see what economy looks like. What is legroom like as I'm 6'2". Hoping the flights might be pretty empty so we can spread out...
Hey 👋 the legroom is quite good on the A380 , I am 6’1 and you will have space for your legs , hope you will have empty seats as I did and you can lay down an relax , have a good flight ✈️ 😀
@airtravelaviation491 thanks. I've done the Emirates 380 to Mauritius and legroom was ok on there, the agent we booked with was complementing Qatar for their seats and legroom so expecting it to be better than Emirates 🫰

Planning to travel Australia which airlines is best and they provide cabin wheel chair
The airlines that are really good to travel to Australia are Emirates and Qatar Airways,all of them provide cabin wheel chair , you just ask or request when you do your booking , enjoy your trip ✈️

I would prefer Qatar a350 more than its a380. QATAR can use its 777er, a350 and 787 to replace all its a380s by 2024 year end.

Yes. It's a minus point for QR not having PE. I mean the wealthy leisure customers who take a Gulf airline from Europe to Asia or Australasia would rather book PE than Y. Business class is, at the present time, too expensive for them.
No premium economy yet in qatar airways , I don’t don’t think they are gonna introduce premium economy but they should ✈️✈️
@@airtravelaviation491 If you look at aviation history over the years so will find that one carrier follows another in terms of products. Look at J class, look at fully flat beds in J class then consider Y+. It was BR and VS who launched Y+ in the early 1990s (30 years ago !) and we have seen one carrier after another adopting it (Y+). It can only be a matter of time before QR follows its rivals and introduces Y+. I mean until a few years ago the CEO was claiming QR's Y was as good as other airlines' Y+. He no longer makes that claim which suggests that, behind the scenes, something is happening !
