i love how he still embraces damon’s character. i feel like some people just hate their characters and they’re ashamed or annoyed talking about it but he seems happy about the entire character
I totally agree. Don't get me wrong, I love both Paul and Ian. But most of the time Paul sounds so relieved that he is done playing Stefan. Not Ian tho. He genuinely sounds like he loved playing Damon, which is something I really like about him.

Stefans character was quite of a bore. Although it was addressed that he’s like that way, because he’s afraid of letting loose and having fun, falling back into his own ways
Whereas Damon fully embraced being a vampire and did it unapologetically which is what made his character more fun and intense

I can never get enough of this man. I've been obsessed with him as a teenager, and I'm still obsessed with him in my 20s. His personality is amazing, so effortlessly hot, such a humanist, overall a very chill and cool guy. Who also happens to be one of the most attractive actors I've ever seen & I will NEVER get over the fact that he didn't get to play Christian Gray. Everyone knows he's the better choice, and I'm sure he would've gotten his big break then but it just didn't happen for him. So sad. He is tremendously talented and passionate.
actually I think he didn't want to play him, I've seen some interviews where he was a little shady towards the role and implied he was not interested. I think the movie would've gotten ten times its public if he'd been in it and it was already huge! Maybe he didn't want his career to steer so far into sexiness? I wish he had played Christian though :/
@@unachicadeargentina I don't think that was the case. It was probably Ian's way of being slightly petty for not getting the role, he even shaded the movie in one of TVD's episodes, where he's reading the book. I don't see a reason why he would turn down the role though, the movie skyrocketed almost as much as the books did, imagine how much more popular he would've gotten, he'd be in at least 20 movies by now, and he wouldn't be best known as a teen tv show actor that's in his 40's. He showcased such talent and diversity in TVD, portraying Damon was extremely difficult for sure, and I can't help but think that he himself has some similar traits as his vampire character, because there's no way he could've done SUCH a good job all by himself:D
Nonetheless, I wish him the best and I'm still hoping he's gonna get that recognition that he deserves. And I'm also always going to binge on TVD from time to time.
