In Bruges should be in the top 5, hands down. Love that movie!
Or at least substitute it for "Seven Psychopaths." Walken's story line just didn't work for me in "Psychopaths.' The movie was funny, but it was clearly Rockwell's movie (amazing performance). "In Bruges" was so beautifully balanced--great directing, acting, dialogue, cinematography, editing and score.
Dementia Boy Agreed
Sure, because you're opinion is evidently more important than anyone elses and that is because it is constructive and totally not of personal taste.
Thats such a shitty movie
@@MoonIsFlat69 i am sorry that your taste sucks.
Pulp Fiction & Fargo are timeless classics and two of the best movies of all time
How is Fargo funny at all. I didn’t laugh once and didn’t even know it was trying to be comedic once. Pulp fiction is my favorite movie though
Sheev exactly though Fargo is good but I like the other Coen Brothers movies better, Pulp faction on the other hand is masterpiece
Raising Arizona??
Fargo is one of my favourite films ever, and pulp fiction is a dark comedy masterpiece.
You are so right
10: Death At A Funeral
9: Trainspotting
8: Harold & Maude (should be 1)
7: Bad Santa
6: Heathers
5: Seven Psychopaths
4: The War of the Roses
3: Pulp Fiction
2: Fargo
1: Dr. Strangelove Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love The Bomb
Oh fuck, you just spoilt the list for me
Dr. Strangelove has one of my all time favorite lines in a movie. "You can't fight in here! This is the war room!"
“MEIN FUHRER!! I CAN WALK!!”
In Bruges is a really good movie. I'm glad that it was on the list.
I would prefer to see it in the top 10. That and the similar film "The Guard"
No Shaun of the Dead?
Evil Dead Series?
Tucker & Dale Vs Evil?
TheMeatatarianTheist Too mainstream for Mojohipsters
Those are horror comedies, they have another list for those ... For some reason
The Nameless One Because horror comedies and dark comedies are not (necessarily) the same thing.
Woutorius yeah but the movies i listed are definately dark comedy..so why bringing this point up`:D
In Bruges deserves more than an honorable mention!
Damn right it does. They didn't mention it all the way through and I was like "oh aye it got top spot" and then nope. Only an honourable mention? What the shitting hell is l that about. Top 5 at rhe very least.
Indeed
In Bruges is a masterpiece. Easily better, imo than the rest of the list.
@@stuartmaclean5572 i completely agree
John DiMaggio
It’s way better than seven psychopaths and that got a spot....
No Snatch or Lock stock? What about Happiness?
Snatch was hilarious
yeah...snatch have to be in this list
+kevin willems bust still darker than "death at funeral"
Lock stock should have been on
Typical Dru, Dude they can't cover all of dark comedies in a top 10 list. That's their pick, of course there are shit loads of similar movies, but this is top 10, it's not Top Every Single Dark Comedy movie ever made.
'Snatch'??..HELLO?!
I agree!
In Bruges is a great film... a MUST watch.
" Gentlemen you can't fight in here! This is the war room!"
Bret Vines omg to this I thought I was the only person that caught on to what I think is the most perfect joke
Seven Psychopaths but not In Bruges? FOOKIN BRUGES?!
In Bruges is so good!
+Efe Yenibayrak
You feel better now that you got that off your chest?
+mike salami I thought In Bruges was funnier than Seven Psychopaths.
IT'S A FUCKING INANIMATE OBJECT
daffyphack YOU'RE an inanimate fucking object!!!
In Bruges should feature much more highly. Incredible film.
Was just about to comment that. It's definitely my number 1 favorite comedy. Not so much for it's comedic value, but it's just through-and-through amazing. Characters, humor, charm, setting, cast. Etc Etc.
In Brugge is such an overrated movie. I really was bored all way through watching it. It tries to hard to be a clever dark movie with funny like lock stock or... (other guy ritchie movie cant remember the title now) also really didnt like the characters
In Bruges was a fantastic fucking movie loved the hell out of it!
100% agree.
"fookin" mate. It's "fookin" in Bruges.
Yeah it's hands down my best dark comedy pick. Good thing it got at least a mention, if not a numbered spot on this list.
Agreed. Farrell is a comic genius - the way he coined herd of elephants is classic.
Senõr Sam "it's an inanimate fuckin' object!"
- "You're an inanimate fuckin' object!" bonkers =P
In bruges shouldve been number 1 ive never watched a movie that was so fucking sad yet still a comedy.
^great movie but have you watched 'Delicatessen' it is the literal embodiment of dark comedy.
Where the heck is Every Movie mentioned in the comments section?
yify
No way is 'Bad Santa' better than 'Trainspotting'
i don't even know if i would call Trainspotting a "dark comedy" but that is exactly how i would classify Bad Santa.
Dareld Jolliffe well if it made it onto the list as one the it deserved to be higher
I am saying it probably shouldn't be on THIS list
Its is not a better movie, but most defenitely a better dark comedy.
There not saying it's better otherwise pulp fiction should have been first
An oldie, but a goodie is "Arsenic and Old Lace" with Cary Grant.
+E Nunya yeah hahahaha good one, tottaly forgot about it
+E Nunya Yes! It's brilliant! But Kind Hearts and Coronets should have been on the actual list, not just an Honorable mention. It's sheer perfection. Alec Guinness plays nine different characters believably!
+E Nunya I was just about to comment the exact same thing! So underrated.
+E Nunya
"Look, you can't do things like that !
Now I don't know how I can explain this to you, but it's not only against the law, it's wrong.
It's not a nice thing to do. People wouldn't understand.
He wouldn't understand. What I mean is... Well... This is developing into a very bad habit !
Francesco SkZ Mauro LOL!!!
Did you seriously just put Bad Santa above Trainspotting?
totally agree, I mean cmon, Trainspotting is hilarious, I got to say, is at least a top 3.
Well, I paid for the ticket
and now as of November 2016 there is the sequel Bad Santa 2
Shaun of the Dead?!? Hot Fuzz?! Django Unchained?! Come on....
Chris Bonam I'm not sure Django is considered comedy. But, to me all Tarantino films are dark comedy..
Chris Bonam The first two aren't neccesarily dark comedies, they're just ridiculous parodies. There's a difference. If you listen in the beginning, the genre they were looking for are movies with a grim plot that is also humorous. Django however should have at least been an honorable mention, but then again most of Quentin Tarantino's movies should have and could have made the list, but I believe they were trying to limit this to one QT movie. Pulp Fiction is definitely the best choice out of the QT movies, but if there wasn't a limit I believe half of the list could have become QT movies.
+Chris Bonam Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz are both already out and out comedies so they don't really fit this list, excellent as both movies are. And although I'd love meet you in the parlor for white cake, Django definitely wasn't as humorous as Pulp Fiction or Inglorious Bastards...
Django unchained is a revenge flick with a few dark jokes (expected from Tarantino) but that doesn't make it a dark comedy
Are you kidding me, you put Seven Psycopaths on this list and not In Bruges or The Guard. Also where's Four Lions, In The Loop, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. This is a really bad list.
'A bottle!?'
Couldn't agree more.
Also shaun of the dead
In Bruges should've been at least top 3. I didnt even think of Four Lions but that one also deserved a place here.
Blame the guy's who voted lol.
peter dinklage shows up, delivers best line and flies away
So someone else noticed Tyrion Lannister's bit part!...
Glad to see Seven psychopaths getting recognition it's extremely underrated
It’s amazing
It's brilliant
Really enjoyed watching Fargo
+ExThinker I could watch it a thousand times and still love it as much as the first time.
The television adaption is great too!
Michael Ford
Fargo is currently my favourite ongoing TV series. That's a big feat for a show that's only two seasons in; that it can gain my top seal of approval. Not because I'm some towering intellectual critic of art or anything, more like I'm such a cynical asshole that I judge the shit out of everything I watch.
Lorne Malvo from season 1 is no kidding my favorite tv character ever (besides Walter White, of course).
NOOOOO! In Bruges should be in the list! not honorable mentions :(
AC MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who didn't cheer when the bell tower cashier got his comeuppance? "Understand, Englishman?" And then we just see shadows of a very pissed Ralph Fiennes =)
Dr Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb definitely deserves to be number 1!!!!!
Luc S You can't fight in here! This is the war room!
***** I'm not saying we have to get our hair in a mess, but I do say no more than 10-20 million killed! Tops! :D
He'll see everything! He'll see the big board!
Mr. President! We cannot allow the mineshaft gap!
Now then, Dimitri. You know how... we've always talked about the possibilities... of something going wrong with the bomb
IN BRUGES WAS A FUCKING HONORABLE?
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
I don't understand how 7 Psychopaths made the list but in bruges was an honorable mention. They were by the same guy but In bruges was waaaay better in my opinion. Just the quotes alone XD
***** "I wasn't saying hello to anybody...except perhaps a horse" :p ..ah loved that film :D
Goose! "You're an inanimate fuckin' object!"
"Two manky hookers, and a racist dwarf... i'm headin' home."
you're a bunch of fuckin elephants
Don't be stupid
No Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz but bad Santa? Bad Santa? really?
Horror Comedy is completely based on dark humour. Completely
Right? And American Psycho was also hilarious!....sigh, seriously, what genre criteria is used here?
perhaps random?
Horror comedy is NOT Dark Comedy.
also 'Big nothing' with simon pegg and the guy from friends is also dark and hillarious
Tucker and Dale vs Evil was hilarious, and I thought I was the only one who liked Seven Psychopaths. Nobody else in the theater liked it when I saw it. I fell in love with the movie.
American Psycho is only an honorable mention? BOOOOO
But at least Dr. Strangelove is #1
Ayy it's you
CIA U For you..
Spoiler alert!
+Real Human Bean To be fair, the movie doesn't really live up to the amazing book that is American Psycho.
+Real Human Bean Watched Dr. Strangelove when I was 10, scarred for life
No Man bites Dog? not even in the honorable mensions?
agreed
Marco Estiercol It's Specially insulting since Man Bites Dog actually has a message.
Also, it's pretty cool that other people besides me have even heard of the movie, it's quite obscure.
***** Well... is not an american movie so there goes 70% of viewers... black and white another 20%...
Marco Estiercol Yeah...
A damn shame, considering that american viewers prefer Adam Sandler movies to Man Bites Dog.
***** I'm not ameican, and i never met any american that heard of Man bites Dog.
The list would have been better with Snatch or Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrells on it (either one).
Very interesting list of films, Aadel Bussinger :-}
Birthday Greetings to you.
Hope you're enjoying your day, Aadel !
Exactly - or Lucky # Slevin. In Bruges is also more than an honorable mention ...
SharksInYourMouth193 I haven't seen In Bruges yet. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll be sure to rent it when I get back to the states!
Aadel Bussinger
A little heads up!.......many different emotions await you!
+Aedel Bussinger I was really hoping they would have had Snatch in there, but, nope, not once have I ever shared Watch's opinion. I still watch their videos even if I never agree with them, just so I can find new movies.
the life of brian monty python
+Kenny Barringer Or even Meaning of Life, which is really quite dark.
I wouldn't say it's dark comedy. Satirical as hell, but aside from a few scenes, it's not very dark.
exactly !!!
@@LPChipi it is given what subjects it makes fun of (not very PC sometimes)
can't believe Dale and Tucker vs evil wasn't in there
+freedom1322009101 oh my god, ikr? He fucken fell in a woodchipper. They accidently killed themselves and the "bad guy" got the girl.
+Kitten Lyric god it's such an underrated movie.
+freedom1322009101 its not even funny ffs, it tries WAY too hard.
army of darkness is missing, tho!
Kompetuul Hrumasva Totally agree with Army of darkness...But I love Tucker and Dale and can't wait for the sequel
+Kemone Armstrong I love the scene where she shoots herself by accident.
what about the cable guy?
Good point
I didn't know Death at a Funeral was Brit before it was black....
excatly right
And the blackHollywood version isn't even funny.
ha your funny your really fuckin in da dont hav a sense of humor kind of way
Where the hell is Happiness and Welcome To The Dollhouse?!?!?!?! Some of the best black comedies ever!
Heathers should be higher up. It's a damn masterpiece.
That is the truth if I've ever heard it
Madeline Nagy the movie is great, but the musical is better
Madeline Nagy Agreed!
Madeline Nagy ikr
Heathers is the damn best. Who doesn't love Christian Slater
What about "Death Becomes Her" (1992) with Bruce Willis, Meryl Streep, and Goldie Hawn? I love the way that the film delivered the humor in immortality, and its unexpected disturbing twists brought a smile and a laugh to my face and vocal chords many times. (Another funny thing about the movie is that Bruce Willis still had hair in '92)
In Bruges should have been on the list and where is Kiss Kiss Bang Bang?
Deserves a honorable mention.
Arsenic and Old Lace Cary Grant at his finest.
123 with James Cagney was also an over the top cold war comedy.
The Guard with Brendan Gleeson was quite amusing too.
I think Falling Down with Michael Douglas is hilarious but i'm not sure if it's supposed to be! Any thoughts?
+Michael Roberts It would not be political correct enough to admit it, but I'm sure they knew what they were doing - and I find it funny as hell myself.
Michael Roberts what’s funny about it?
imo In Bruges is way better than Seven Psychopaths
Lborn Nah mate
I can't believe fookin In Bruges isn't in this fookin list!
lol censor the word "fuck" but show marvin's head explode. america
You said and well said "Coen brothers are where Dark Comedies stays!" Burn After Reading/The Big Lebowski/No Country for Old man
I'm surprised Zombieland wasn't at least an honorable mention.
I was just thinking that.
as soon as i saw the girl from little miss sunshine I thought of zombieland
because its not really a dark comedy... its fairly light hearted, and not thought provoking at all. it barely qualifies as a good movie as is.
Lord Slick Rick I hate it when people bash movies which didn't try to be deep for not being deep. It was another take on zombies with a great casting.
Ha ha. Oh, yeah, I forgot about Zombieland until you mentioned it. Another really great dark comedy. The BM death scene is kind of a dark comedy within the dark comedy by itself. :P
Why was fight club not included on this?
cause its not a comedy...
James Harrison Fight Club could definitely be labeled as a dark comedy.
pillsareyummy nope cause there are no jokes in the film so its not a comedy duh...
James Harrison Comedies don't have to have 'jokes'. In films, such as Fargo (or Fight Club), it's the combination of the characters and how they interact with their environments that makes it comedic. 'Duh' ...
pillsareyummy there are jokes in fargo and there is nothing comedic about fight club.
There is no excuse for your complete neglect of Natural Born Killers, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and Arsenic and Old Lace!
David Johnson /Arsenic and old lace is the best !!
Arsenic and Old Lace is one of my favourites
Harold & Maude is easily one of my favorite films and Heathers is a classic!
The lack of Guy Ritchie's films is disturbing!
yes snatch, lock stock and rocknrolla should have made the list, or at least 2 of them
Those films, while having criminal activities, aren't really that dark. All the good characters live by the end, the bad guys die, the humor usually derives from the idiocy of the crooks rather than disturbing twists on convention.
Woof Wooof....thats my other dog impersonation.
Guy Ritchie can only pray that he makes a film as clever and as good as In Bruges. It will never happen.
Bad Santa? Really? No monty python or cornetto trilogy films? NOPE A FILM ABOUT SANTA!
Did you even watch it?
***** whats more morbid than a dinner with death whilst already dead? you don't acknowledge the time it was first aired neither do you acknowledge where it was first aired, monty python is one of the most morbid most cynical next to harold and maude, they just didn't want to have more brits in it since well those finest treads in morbid zynism mostly come from england, it's what everyone calls english humor.
***** "I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition!" Line of hooded, black robed monks marches into Tax Office."No one expects the Spanish Inquisition."...
I wish the movie Super with Rain Wilson was more popular it's totally a dark comedy.
+Grant Van Vleet My favorite dark comedy probably.
I love super. We need more alternative takes on the superhero genre.
+Tate Hildyard definitely. I loved Watchmen too. Completely changed the whole Super hero movie idea as a film.
Michael Ford Yes but I'm not getting the Deadpool love. I thought it was pretty good but people are acting like it's the greatest thing ever.
The full movie's on youtube
Wow. Not even a mention of a classic like, "Arsenic And Old Lace"??
A mention of what?
My *ALL* time favourite. Comfort food for my soul that is!
One of my favorites
Or "The Loved One"
"The Lavender Hill Mob" for me
The Wolf of Wall Street? At least at 5th place
That's not really a dark comedy, more of a comedy. Dark normally involves people dying, like all of these
Dark comedy features inappropriate comedy, like a person dying in a funny way
'The Wolf of Wall Street' is a black comedy not a dark comedy
Because making fun of a guy paralized cuse' an extensive use of drugs isn't dark at all.
I didn't find the Wolf of Wall Street dark at all.
I would switch 7 Psychopaths with In Bruges
And throw Snatch somewhere in there
In Bruges is shit I think
Updated list coming up soon? Hopefully, 😊 I recently watched 'villains' and that ignited my taste for this genre- unless it's not technically dark comedy( ?).
So I would love an updated list, maybe a TOP 20 so I can discover new gems and/or see some favourites featuring on the list
I think "Arsenic and Old Lace" is missing if you go for the older films and for modern films you have to see "In Order of Disappearance", a norwegian film. It is probably not well known but should have been on the list as well. The english wikipedia page has little spoilers in its plot so I'll post it here instead of describing it:
"Nils (Stellan Skarsgård) is a snow plough driver somewhere in Norway. He learns that his son has died, supposedly of a heroin overdose. Nils knows his son was no addict and starts a private investigation. Soon he finds out the local drug gang is behind the crime. He hunts down the two killers and kills both of them, but not before they confess. Based on this information, he goes after their boss, but finds himself in the crossfire between two rival gangs: one local, one "imported" from Serbia."
It has a dark tone, a dark topic and has really good dark humour.
Good list! But for me In Bruges is the superior Martin McDonagh film not Seven Psychopaths.
"In Bruges" should have been number one.
No Arsenic and Old Lace? Not even an honorable mention?
LOVED Bad Santa and Heathers! Talk about different takes. :)
The reason Dr. Strangelove is number 1 is because it takes something as serious as War and makes it hilarious. It shows how incompetent the leaders of war can be. Pulp Fiction, I love that movie, but as a crime drama that can be viewed as a comedy, no it shouldn't be number 1.
There are many crime dramas that can be considered comedy and rightfully so, but War is a bigger more serious matter that it would be one of the last things you'd think to be turned into a comedy.
Let the hating of me and my comment begin, as I disagree with Pulp Fiction being number 1. Also I think that Reservoir Dogs is better than Pulp Fiction also, that's just me...
Doctor Strangelove deserved it hands down. In the Cold War period where nuclear warfare was believed by many to be the actual end of humanity, it really was brilliant. You can't get much darker than total destruction of life on Earth. And boy was the end scene hilarious.
@@TheTardisDreamer I was getting a little scared that Dr. Strangelove wasn't on the list. An Italian film called "Seven Beauties" is in a dead heat for #1 as far as I'm concerned.
IMO Trainspotting and In Bruges needed to be higher, they're two of my favourite films ever. However, the top choices were good.
"Trainspotting" and "Pulp Fiction" should be higher ranking. Also should " In China they eat dogs" be in the list!
But Vuk, it's a Volvo!
Herosanoj
Ikr!!!😂😂😂
Erlkönig '
Erlkönig pulp fiction is high though...
Evry Quentin Tarantino` movie should be on this list
And then this list should be Top 20.
Nahhhhhhhh. Some had funny parts, but weren't comedies. Loke reservoir dogs, I didn't see that as a comedy.
@@Amy-ms6wj exactly , they all have comedy but i only consider pulp fiction his only dark comedy and once upon a time in Hollywood his only normal comedy movie
Reservoir Dogs ain’t really a comedy , it’s probably his most serious flick
No shaun of the dead
That's not really dark
But it is a dark comedy
Lewis Witton Yeah people getting disemboweled isn't dark...
Yea thats what i mean zombies is not that dark it is darker than a death at a funeral
But it doesn't take itself seriously. It's an out and out comedy.
Schindler's list was hilarious!
saving private ryan m8
Bruce Wayne Comedy classic!
jalkor87 laughed especially at ohama when the american boat was on fire!
Bruce Wayne
I forgot to mention that "The Pianist" is a laugh riot too!
jalkor87 pissed myself laughing in the boy in the striped pyjamas
YES! Dr Strangelove is as classic as it gets.
No mention of a clockwork orange wow
Ikr
How is that a dark comedy?
***** This is totally a new definition of the word joke ..
SavageArfad but it's a dark comedy
really!!! is it??!!!!
in bruges was my favourite flick of all time so far. i had so much laugh watching it and the ending was life altering to me personally. if not number one, i would definitely not state it as a simple honorable mention!
No Four Lions?! I guess a film about suicide bombers isn't dark enough/too offensive for you!
Where's Election, Team America: World Police, Rushmore, The Big Lebowski?
Team America isn't a black comedy. It's a tongue in cheek kind of comedy but that's as far as it goes. The subject matter isn't that dark. It's more just a riff on America and actors who think they know better than everyone.
300daysandnights
Trainspotting is not a comedy in the slightest if you ask me. It is a drama
Team America is a Satire, which are normally black comedies. It poke fun at the political system and the "I'm so Ronery" & "Everyone has AIDS" songs aren't songs you will hear in an everyday comedy
Stiffkittens Black comedy is a sub genre of satire.
300daysandnights
And....?
Stiffkittens meaning that just because it's a satire, doesn't mean it's a black comedy.
Where's In Bruges?? ;-;
awh shit man only an honourable mention ??? ;-; i love that movie
This movie is nоw аvаilаblе tоо wаtсh hеrе => twitter.com/f861ff33bd5bc4c37/status/795843446447579136 Тoоoр 10 Dаааrk Cоmedу Mоviеs
I love a girl who swears !
8:32 that was always my favorite part of Pulp Fiction. The way the two react as if they just wrecked somebody else's expensive car or something, like the dead person in the car doesn't matter so much as the irritation it causes them and how bad the consequences of getting found out would be.
thanks for putting Dr Strangelove on number one, i wouldn't have taken it any other way lol
One of the best movies of all time
Where is the "Death Becomes Her"?
that movie is amazing
Yeah that is the movie I expected to be #1. Too bad, cuz it is hilarious. :)
not on this list where it belongs.
Where is Shaun of the Dead? Or Hot Fuzz? Or The World's End?
They all have dark moments (and are quite simply 3 of the greatest comedies ever made) but really the only one where the comedy itself comes from dark places is Shaun.
+Gravitynaut I don't think I understand. Hot Fuzz has a lot of dark humor?
+Mark Merzweiler It was definitley a dark comedy.
love all 3 of the films in the cornetto trilogy (spaced was also a very good tv series) but only think Shaun of the Dead should be on here out of the 3
+MrSlothJunior
I think aside from the main reveal, the humor itself in Hot Fuzz isn't particularly dark.
You have to think in the context that all humor is inevitably going to be somewhat dark, because comedy is based on misery first and foremost.
YES HEATHERS
This list is 1000% correct. Something Watchmojo has never achieved before
Fucking Dr. Strangelove man.
The Big Lebowski doesn't even get an honorable mention?
YEEEEYYY!!!! Dr. STRANGELOVE ..... I never get tired of this movie ... and yeah Arsenic and Old Lace should have made the list
No The Big Lebowski? Kidding me?
The Addams Familly ? No ? Not even in HMs ? C'mon !
I was waiting for the Addams family the whole way through- never showed up :\
kirstie g It isn't even a dark comedy, it's a farce with the cartoon characters doing "sinister" things.
Harkness78 cartoon characters?
kirstie g It started out as a comic strip.
StealthMaster86 yes i know that but we're talking about the movie.
I am really surprised not to see Snatch or Lock Stock and two smoking barrels. Those qualify here right?
"Snatch" is the better movie.
Agreed. One of them should have been on the list
yes
Decent list, well deserved #1, but Trainspotting should be way higher up there!
I was getting a little scared that Dr. Strangelove wasn't on the list. An Italian film called "Seven Beauties" is in a dead heat for #1 as far as I'm concerned.
"These actions have been taken to prevent the contamination of our nation's bodily fluids"
- Dr strangelove (1964)
Not even an honorable mention for 'The Cable Guy'? Making stalking funny!
Tucker and Dale vs. Evil
More like a Horror Comedy
Lea Rathgeber good film though
One of my favorites actually :)
'King of Hearts'. Would have been in the top 10 list around 1980, but there have been so many good dark comedies made since then. Still, it holds a special place for me.
I like the honorable mentions more than most of the movies on the list
number 1: snatch
number 2: chopper
fixed the list for you.
Closer, American Beauty, One Flew Over Cuckoo's Nest, Being John Malkovich, Girl Interrupted, Delicatessen, Magnolia, Naked.
All such great movies...
Out of these I have only seen Cuckoos Nest and Malkovich, which I wouldn't call Dark Comedies. While there certainly are comedic moments in each, Cuckoos Nest more so than Malkovich, they have a more serious point to them and are more drama over all.
they're not dark comedies
Filth, Seven Psychopaths, In Bruges, Throw Mama from the Train, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Good Girl, Frank and pretty much all Tarantino movies.
Girl,Interrupted is not a comedy,unless you include AJ's oscar win .
Best #1 Pick Ever.
In Bruges deserved a number, but at least it was mentioned. SO GOOD!
NO FIGHTING IN THE WAR ROOM!!!
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Guard were pretty great.
brushedlawyer99 I'm Irish. Racism is part of my culture.
What the hell? In Bruges is much better (but maybe not as funny) than Seven Psychopaths
#1 Dr. Strangelove...brilliant list!
