Hey guys! The Grey 180sx at the end, that's a Koguchi shell right? Is that a one off or can they be purchased somewhere?
    Many thanks,
    Charlie

Hey Charlie, Yes that's a Yokomo Koguchi Power 180sx shell. I would check out vertexrc-usa.com or anywhere else that sells yokomo drift products to purchase. I'm pretty sure this shells is sold out at this time. Let me know if you have any more questions.
      Thank you,
      Roy

which one grip yokomo or reve d tire? when at tile surface. Thanks

To me the ReveD tires have more grip when new which does cause them to wear down faster over time. As they wear out these will tend to have less grip. Yokomo DRC tires have a more consistent feeling of grip over the lifespan of the tire.

Howzit braddah, any recommendations on tires for cars running aggressive rear camber? Lol
Dabbling in RWD drifting but I converted a crawler chassis into a RWD drift RC4WD Tacoma build for the hell of it. It does decent for enjoyment, but I’m guessing the hard plastic tires I’m using don’t help with much…on top of the stiff HSP spare shocks I had & poor weight distribution possibly. Lol.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Just trying to get more of a fluid motion out of my DIY’d rig. 😂😂 Still get plenty to learn before I purchase a legit RWD chassis.

Hi, well this definitely has many variables that I haven't personally worked with before. If the shocks are coilover then I would try and use a lighter oil vs what would be used for a crawling set up. I think that the steering angle could be a major issue. Also the solid rear spool will make it super aggressive when you give throttle. So that could be a real challenge. Good luck with the build since it's all for fun. Have a good one!

@@TeamSaikoRC Mahaloz my braddah. I switched to some Tamiya tires that’s a little softer, so ima test it out later. Ordered some big bore Yeah racing shocks to try tune the suspension before anything else.
Probably seen my truck already off Saikō_dat’s IG. The red Tacoma with the DS Racing wheels. Lol
Gonna try mess with the suggestions you gave & go from there also. Probably in the next week or so, I’ll purchase a D5 to get into a legit chassis before shelling out for a YD2. Lol
Stay up & stay safe my braddah. Catch you at one of the practices one day 💪🏽🙌🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

how much rear camber do you run with this tyre ?

    • @TeamSaikoRC
      @TeamSaikoRC  Před 2 lety +1

I currently run negative 2 degrees camber in the rear of my chassis as a baseline.
