I really notice (maybe because I’m Australian) that he tends to slow down and enunciate more the key words when he’s speaking in front of SKZ or when doing interviews. I think it’s to make sure everyone has the best chance of understanding which I guess adds to the wholesome and thoughtful dad persona 😂
About chans leadership: he said he'd always been the youngest in his friendgroup when he was a trainee. But all his friends either debuted or left and he was a trainee for like 7 years so the fear he was not gonna make it was big. But when jype asked him to make his own group there was hope again so he took his leadership super serious. If you watch the survival show you can see how strict he was with them bc he wanted to debut with everyone. In the 2 kids room episodes all the kids allways talk about how much weight there is on chans shoulders. He takes being the leader very seriously
Chan is extremely protective of 'his kids'. About the only time you will see him angry is when one of them are upset or put in harms way.
There was a joke about setting up a fund to fix the curtain. And he finally fixed right before they moved. Probably just to mess with STAY 😁 He is notorious for knowing what is going on in the fandom (someone had a list of 'Chan's crushes', and he mentioned it on Chan's Room and who should be in what order), and I like the fact that he has no problem calling out the fans when they are misbehaving

I love Katya Storm's videos, especially the newer ones. Also, always watch the entire video because she always leaves a few clips at the end.
First time watching you and thoroughly enjoyed your take on this. What you said about leadership really is so true. And it is what the other members have said in other content about Chan. For example where he created the space for Lee Know to take the lead in their dance practices. Not something Lee Know would have done on his own but Chan saw the talent and made that happen. Its actually how this entire group was formed. Because he saw talent.
Anyway...I happen to like long reactions that go into personalities and are personal. So this was lovely.

Yeah, I don't need a bias because it changes everyday for me.
Bang Chan is the paragon. He seems incredibly humble and earnest in his feelings. It's very endearing. As a mom, I'd love him as a son in law because I know my kid would be loved and protected. He is willing to put others first and that selflessness is appealing.

You ask for suggestions at the end of the video for longer guides and I can definitely recommend the unit guides by Vic Killjoy! They really long, full of memes and funny clips and I really love them!
the curtain had been like that since day 1 and yes it became a running joke around the fandom. after bang chan fix it (the clip was from his vlog), they move to another place (their recent dorms) t__t

@@polyanagula yeah, it was from their XH begins episode, but i don't know if div1 really gave the legendary curtain to studj management after skz moved out or it was just a different curtain lol because xh's recent dorm (from their latest xdinary days video around june) looks really different from skz's previous dorm, there's no way they took it themselves...

I don't watch compilations much, so I can't recommend much, but videos of Katja Strom are pretty popular and good, as far as I know.
Could you please adjust the screen in such a way that we can see subtitles as well for next reactions? :)
regarding leadership skills, they came first. members told that Ban Chan was the leader for other trainees before SKZ were formed - it made sense because he was the oldest by age, longest at being trainee but also had strong leadership skills. he also always had great ideas ("idea bank") and according to Hyunjin I think, whenever trainees were competing in teams, the team of Chan always won.
he was also the leader of 3racha. watching him, his leadership towards other trainees and his passion to producing music, the company decided to take a risk and make an experiment allowing Chan to create his own group. Several members said that Chan was very strict and very demanding to them, and now looking back they are greatfull because without that they would not have debuted.
many people (members, other idols) say that Chan is pretty strict as leader and is pretty different off camera, but we as fans don't see it too much, although there are some hints in some videos, for example in their survival show.
also before SKZ members became trainees, Chan was in a very dark state, because everyone he had been training previously either debuted or left the company, so Chan was alone for some time. members say, that when they started being trainees Chan was pretty scary because of that. Chan said, that when his future members appeared, they saved him and they taught him to become warmer and softer again.
Chan is a very caring leader. he is a perfectionist and likes controlling things, so he wants to be involved in everything even little details (music production, performances etc). Changbin once said that even the members don't know everything what Chan is responsible for and doing for them. Chan demands a lot, but he also gives a lot back.
Also since Chan trained for a long time and is a very social person, he is literally friends with everyone in the industry :).
5:26 man in the front is Versachoi - a person you most often see in SKZ song credits after 3racha. he is approximately same age as Chan and they are long time friends.
