I'm relieved that I found what is misophonia and hyperacusis tonight and found pink music here! It really does help! My ears feel much better after hearing it and I could again pick up my headphone to listen to God's music. Amazing!

Brad's recordings are all very good, the best. The only thing I take umbrage with, is when one spooky recording had crows' voices at night. Crows are diurnal, they're asleep at night. I'm a wildlife rehabilitator. ;). I know audio is the main goal, but sometimes, on the ones I listen to, I wish there was visual as well, like rain on a lagoon. I love seeing those egrets. Even though our problem is tinnitus/audio, many people's main modality is visual, not auditory, and visual might enhance the effect of his recordings.

I had tinnitus a few years ago, out of the blue it just came on, so I stopped most caffeine products and started exercising and suddenly it went away slowly, hardliy any noise at all, last month I got bells palsy well I am almost 80percent back to myself, maybe some slight twitching in eyes and mouth, still acupuncture treatments and massages for a while, but my tinnitus came back full force with hiperacusis so its hard to focus and hear music, loud noises startle me, im 50 so don't know if I will be back to my old self, if I try to turn suddenly to bells palsy, I get sligt vertigo, so taking medication for that, im feeling some insecureness, don't feel like I can drive anymore, but these videos have helped to put me to sleep, to top it off my husband snores like a jet so don't sleep in same room, I have enough with my issues, a lot of prayer is what I do, meditation and try to relax, I tell you its not easy.

Jackie Cortez Hi Jackie, I've had Tinnitus for several years. A girl that I know who also has Tinnitus told me about a product that she started taking. I was pretty skeptical but I decided to try it. I'm really surprised but it has helped quite a bit. The tinnitus is still there but not nearly as bad. It's called Pycnogenol. It comes from a fir tree that grows in southern France. I order mine from Healthy Origins and I'm taking 150 mg. a day. It took about a month to really work.

Your husband also seriously needs to seen by a sleep doctor. Snoring is a good indicator of sleep apnea, and needs to be diagnosed and treated. There are many causes including obesity. If he doesn't get enough deep wave sleep, he could get into a car accident or work accident, can lose memory function over time, weight gain, blood pressure issues, daytime irritability and fatigue, other results of lack of quality sleep.

I like this pink noise. Right now I have a fan running which works too, though can't use in winter. Here's a hint for tinnitus: Often acupuncture can greatly reduce if not heal it. And don't get root canals. They seem to cause them in many. But I like this sound, as a waterfall is soothing. I had white noise maker but it was repetitive which kept me awake. Thanks for the post.

the thing i can tell you is that praying definetly wont make things better.
if you got diagnosed with it, you should visit a doctor who specialises in ear-stuff (dont know the english term) and ask him what can be done for treatment.
      he will then tell you.

Alycee Anderson The theory behind a white or pink noise mask is pretty simple. Imagine one person in a quiet theater talking behind you. Irritating, right? But add 500 people talking in the same time and the irritating noise gets lost in a much more pleasant murmur.

so when I listen to this for extended periods of time I hear very faint things in the midst of the noise. Is this my brain inducing some sort of auditory hallucination?
sometimes it sounds like voices but nothing can be made out. sometimes it just sounds like random noises. it is overall very spooky, there is a mild fear response to the noises.
it isn't the recording. When I playback the same moment where I hear the noise, it is not present, only the pink noise.
    Anyone else get this?

I'm trying Pink Noise for hyperacusis. White noise is too harsh for me. Do you know anything about Brown noise. I find that even more soothing but don't know if it will work for the hyperacusis treatment.
I'm also trying Pink Noise for when I study to block out distractions. Guess what, an annoying video pop up appeared in another browser window I had open. I hardly heard it!

I buy soft foam earplugs from Walmart, they come forty pair to a box and have a noise reduction rating of 32-33. I have an immature neighbor who just loves his boombox rap car stereo, and I also have parrots who become noisy at sunrise, usually again at about 3-3:30 pm. And in the winter, the place I rent has a very loud furnace placed right above the hall ceiling, just outside my bedroom. Ya can't just tell parrots to stop, and I just hope that the immature, inconsiderate boy next door will move. Recent studies say people who use earplugs, sleep more deeply. Just a thought for you to consider :).

They say a third of kids alreasy have hearing loss. So I guess there is justice sometimes. LOL! (Though I think he's too stupid to do a search to find out about pink noise.). He'll probably just crank up his volume even louder, but by then, he'll be living somewhere else. Yay! LOL!

Alycee Anderson Hi Alycee Anderson, my first language is not English (it's French) so excuse me if i make mistakes. I hope you are doing better. I have recently had tinnitus and hyperacusis too so I know what you are living. Ask to a specialist first if this is o.k. what I'm telling you but I suggest you to go to your doctor to make a blood test ( vitamins deficiency or anemia or thyroid problem etc...) and see an audiologist (ear) and also a ear-throaty-nose specialist for advices. Important try to see doctors who know tinnitus well if you don't want to loose your time and your mom's money. And to help you with the tinnitus you can put a mp3 with microphone not too loud on you mattress at night with relaxing noses like pink noises or rain etc. It's better for me if it is a long recording (9 hours or more) to not be disturbed by sound's changing . Put as much as possible some not too loud music during the day for your hyperacusis to keep your brain busy and to help you not focusing on your tinnitus to much. It is important not to put ear protection too often, you have to train your ears to get them use to nose again. Put some ear protection only if you are going to places where there is loud noises to not make your hyperacusis worst. I'm waiting to do Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT). they say it work well. and also I want to try a psychologist who do hypnosis and cognitive behavioral therapy. It is important to believe in god or something else you believe in. You have to be positive and relax as much as possible, this is very important, believe, try, don't give up is the key to feel better. I hope for you the best and I'm with you!

I've had Tinnitus for years. Someone I know with Tinnitus told me about a product called Pycnogenol from a company called Healthy Origins. It's from a pine tree that grows only in the southern part of France. I've been taking 150 mg a day for about a month now. The tinnitus is still there but not as bad. It has helped.
