the On MAMA dance practice was missing yoongi cuz he was out healing from his shoulder surgery and was absent from a lot of promotions for a few months while he recovered. even so, the members always just let his part play, never trying to get someone to cover his lines and always leaving a space somewhere for him to show that their group was incomplete... love them sm :(

Suga was recovering from a surgery for an old shoulder injury. I always appreciated how they never let another member do his verses in performances.
not gonna lie, I never understood the "on" official MV. it's still a mystery for me
Suga had a surgery due to his shoulder injury which he has had for years which made it hard for him to dance so he was recovering and didnt attend any performances for 3 months
(Pre debute suga was in a car accident and hurt his shoulder they could have taken care of it then but suga didnt tell anyone he just said he hurt himself because he thought it would ruin things if he told anyone so finally after so many years he got a surgery)

BTS was my introduction to kpop and kdramas or basically to knowing Korea existed, there are so many great kpop groups that you start liking but man BTS is still something else and when you learn how kpop works and the fact they are so involved in their art makes it even more special and you feel more connected to the group.

In Life Goes On, it's a two-part harmony in the chorus, Jin & JK are paired and V & Jimin are paired. For the choruses, they switch off the harmonies each time as well. For example, in Chorus 1, Jin sings the high part and Jk sings the bottom part then for Chorus 2 they switch. Same thing happens with V & Jimin
Suga had shoulder surgery at the time and was recuperating during this time of the ON practice you saw.
Love ure expressions when Tae is on the screen, he really is a handsome guy and literally sometimes takes my breath away!! 😂 Yoongi was away recovering from his shoulder surgery so you’ll see him absent in a lot of their 2020 performances…but they always carried a pic of him and always left a space for him! 💜
fun fact: our jungkook, the golden maknae is the direction of the life goes on's mv.(and it got 1st on billboard's hot 100)

Jungkook Directed "Life goes On"....This song literally got me through the pre vaccine portion of the shut down...I was terrified ...They wrote several songs just for us during this time..."Stay Gold"...and JK "Still with you" .The scene with the lights is right after Jin said "Close your eyes and let's Run away to that future"" (or something like that ) so it represented when we would be back together again
Omg you should see the behind sketch of life goes on jk directing it. And that mama perf was made when suga was still recovering from surgery i think. Thats why his not there.

If you've seen the Kinetic Manifesto version and re-watch either the dance practice or the actual MAMA performance in the stadium. you'll see that Jin steps up and performs during the dance break, so there is symmetry (3/3) in the units. Huge kudos to Jin for learning/performing the dance break, which is quite difficult. The whole ON choreography was difficult, but much love to Sienna LaLau for her contribution and collaboration with BTS. As commenters have already noted, Yoongi had decided to proceed with getting his shoulder surgery in early November 2020 and did not participate in be album promotions or end-of-year performances [he did show-up in a hologram!]. His verses were left in vocally and the only choreo change I saw was this ON dance break where Jin performed. Otherwise, BTS got creative with how they referenced SUGA within certain songs (you'll know when you see the performances), or the members left a space for SUGA if the camera panned for an OT7 shot. Yoongi did a few VLives to update ARMY and talk with them; he even went into work and interacted with the guys (albeit very carefully!). It's strange to think now, in their Chapter 2, how apart they're living their lives, when back then they were so inter-connected that if one piece was missing, it seemed to throw them off balance. Anyway, just a thought.

Jungkook did most of the harmonies and adlibs on Life Goes On. He also directed the MV. Jimin does some harmony as well, but it’s mostly JK on the chorus.

I will never forget how I was in Paris for their concert and boy with luv came on. I was contemplating if I should film it or not but decided not to cause I wanted to dance and enjoy it AND THEN HALSEY CAME ON STAGE AND THE ENTIRE STADIUM WAS SCREAMING.... honestly, top 3 best moments of my life

But actually I’ll clarify a little because I just realized it might be hard to see in the live too😅. Jin is harmoning with jk in that first part (the “like an echo...” part) with jin singing the higher note and Jk singing the lower note. And then the next part of the chorus is Jimin and V with jimin singing the higher note (tho near the end they switch and jimin sings the lower part and V sings the higher part). It might sound a little confusing haha, but you’ll get it once you see it live I think😂

yoongi couldn't participate in the promotions of the BE album or any of the performances that the boys did during that time, he had surgery on his shoulder. but the boys never sang his parts and always left his place in the choreographies to make it clear that someone was missing. and they always took a banner with his picture everywhere they went to perform/or do something.

V got me too in Life Goes On the pillow version, I understand completely - I'm not the type to go around calling anybody this, but him doing the last bridge wearing his cardigan sitting in bed with his arms folded had a certain D-word popping into my mind

In “ON”, the part mid-song where you like JK’s solo, I always sing along with the misheard lyrics ~ “Michael told me in the closet, they’ve got some chicken, I’m so sad”. I recommend watching the ON MV explained video - the theme is biblical (and very interesting) but not tied to the BTS U - and as other ARMY have said, SUGA had his shoulder surgery so didn’t participate in all of the schedules during that time. You might also be interested in the ON behind the scenes recording documentary with UCLA choir and marching band.
I suggest watching the mma performance from 2020 they did if you haven’t yet. It has a live performance of life goes on in it so you can see who sings what background vocals 😁(and also the performance is just epic of course😆😙👌🏾)

Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. My intro song was Boy with Luv ft. Halsey. She got me curious about the guys. Jimin also caught my eyes. With his pink hair and singing and dancing. So bloody stunning. And I hate pink!!! I was a Jimin stan for a long time until I became OT7 and than Suga came as my wrecker. This is a weekly struggle yearly too. lol. Halsey was the 1st and only artist to ask the guys to teach her their choreo. And she was only able to do a little of it. They do real choreo in Korea nothing like what they do here she said behind the scenes. She is a good friend to them. She text's RM all the time. The guys gave her her own sparkly mic. She really loved theirs. I don't know if u noticed but now American artists are using sparkly mic's too. BTS sets the standards u know, lol. Halsey gave the guys as presents a pink tennis bracelet they loved it. So cute! For a long time I did not know that this one was a deep song. It's an Army song for Army. Boy With Luv - they realize that the truest love is their relationship with ARMY. (Halsey represents ARMY here. She wasn't expected to dance, but she decided she wanted to try).
Both choreographies end with them doing "I love you" in sign language.
So like NO which is the other part of ON this one too has its connected piece. They always connecting the songs to each other. They really thoughtful like that. Great spotting Andrew with the signs. U learning fast! Boy with Luv is another song of theirs. An old one but a good one. =0)
Fun fact: Boy with Luv is the most viewed BTS mv and also the most viewed kpop song by a boy group. Also, V's fancam of Boy With Luv is the most viewed fancam of all time!

As others have said this song is for ARMY. RM said it's like we are family. Because they ACTUALLY tweet and fancafe all the time asking about us and what we're doing but we do the same to them. We are always asking have they eaten, did they rest, how are they feeling etc. He called ARMY Mom because we worry so much over them. Suga did change his voice up for the beginning of his rap. He plays with sounds a lot. The dance is so simple because this is a video for us, so we can do the dances as well. Also the video is an homage to Singin in the Rain. The movie shares dates with BTS: the movie opened on April 12th and came out officially in theaters on April 13th, the same as this comeback. In the RM part did you notice all the neon signs, they were the titles of their old albums and maybe a hint to the next album.

A mix of melancholy, an ache and joy in being together. Yes, that sounds right to me. Great vocals and harmonies. Wonderful visuals and fits. Jk did a great job in his new role as the MV co- director.
FYI; Their whole international tour was cancelled so they did a full online 2 day concert in an empty stadium which included amazing choreography and mind blowing visuals back in October for their fans. I was lucky enough to watch day 1 recording. It was awesome. I hear the guys perform for 3 hrs live. 0.0 sheesh. #BTS #LifeGoesOn

The boys are all dressed up and performing, but they don't have their fans around. So this song has lots of meaning...

Sea=When Suga said “someone’s empty spot is our dream” he is referring to when they debuted. So if you guys didn’t know, BTS debuted because the group that was supposed to perform couldn’t make it so BTS were given the spot. Basically saying how someone’s empty spot gave them an opportunity. "Countless people get cut from broadcast, but someone's empty spot is our dream" is actually how their debut came to be. Broadcasting stations didn't want them, cuz Big Hit was a no name company and BTS only debuted because someone else had to cancel a show so they got the spot by chance.

Hope u rewatched BTS (방탄소년단) 'ON' Kinetic Manifesto Film : Come Prima after this. Jimin ult bias, Suga wrecker, OT7. Did u see the live in NYC if u did not u should. It's so good. Appreciate u checking out the other MV. It's interesting to see all the versions especially because American artists don't really do this. =0p The dance version has my fav production. The droid shots are so cool. And yes pls check out the behind the scenes. They have them for all their songs. This song was a collab with an LA dance crew called The Lab & UCLA band. Sienna Lalau from The Lab choreographed this she was 19yo at the time. She has a YT. Her crew won World of Dance season 2. They are great! I listen to techno, pop, R&B, soul, country, etc. They mix the sound and it sounds great. And yeah they all give us good vibes thus we love and support them. Another good follow is DKDKTV.
