- In this episode we install brand new glass for the windshield and back window, then put together the 1/4 windows and put new glass in them. Project 1952 Ford F1 1/2 ton truck, was a field find. Using Dennis Carpenter products.

I don’t install glass for a living but work on my share of old junk. Always rope any glass with a gasket. I use round weed eater string. Lube everything with window cleaner or soapy water. Slap the glass into shape with a open hand slap. Sometimes you can use a ratchet strap and thick foam to keep pressure on the glass while you rope from inside. Anyone can do it, even by yourself with enough patience and prepping.
Great job guys ! Yes Cory ...I did fall asleep while the glass was being put in the wing window frame .Upon waking up with the closing theme music I eventually straightened my head back up and replayed it again . Not bored... just old and past sleepy time. Good night crew... sweet dreams !

Looking better and better. Glass removal and installation is one of my least favorite parts of cars and trucks. I get very anxious and nervous. Had bad luck with a few. Imagine telling your friend that you cracked the window for his 49 Dodge Wayfarer. Was not a good day in the shop that day... Keep up the great work. Look forward to seeing more of your projects.

My very first vehicle when I turned 16 was my great grandfathers 1985 Ram and it had vent windows, something which I have always loved...can't wait to get my 1952 F1 five star vent windows together and installed! I don't understand why someone would take the character out of a 70 year old truck by putting a one piece glass kit in? Nice job on the tutorial, learning a lot of useful small tid bits which you can't hardly find anymore. Thank-you!!!

Hey Guys. I see it's going together nicely. I bought new rubbers for my Fargo a while back. They are quite pricey. I didn't get them installed yet. That's a job for another day. I will always support another Canadian. Especially if they have good content like you guys have. Thanks for sharing.🍁👍👍
Thank you Andy. Yes all of that stuff is pricey, but it is worth it in the end. We just finished up putting the wood in the box, that video will be coming up next week. Canada car builders rock.
Great job, you’re making progress and doing it right. I enjoy watching Derek do all the work. Just kidding. Good luck installing those vent wings, they can be tough to dial in. I’ve done a couple (both hardtop cars), at first they whistled like a banshee at highway speeds.

Having never done it myself, I didn't realize that installing glass in the wing windows could be so difficult. An old truck - I thought it would be easy.
It just takes a little patience and time.
You dudes are Justin Trudeau's ambassadors of comedic mechanical craziness to America. I think the big gulps have some Canadian LTD added for taste.. Those winters in Canada are long so you need some help to getya to Spring.. Be good now and behave,ok. Amazingly the truck is turning out great 👍 Good job ambassador guys!!

Those wing vents are always hard to do and expensive also', at least on tri five chevies and 55 to 59 chevy trucks That is the main reason a lot of Guys opt for one piece door glass. Truck really is looking great and that color looks so good is the reason it was a #1 color choice in sales when new.

Good day , nice truck I am doing a 1949 Mercury M 47 right now but started years back with tractors and hit and miss engines ,what hit and miss engines do you have please ? I saw one up on the shelf maybe a Nelson Bros and one on the floor too my only wish was you had video of the front and rear windows going in but I understand you needed everyone to help .Been happy so far with Dennis Carpenters stuff last order only one week to Ontario ,good luck guys . Hi Mike the other engine in the garage at that time was 2 1/2 famous , Fairbanks Morse eclipse and Nelson brother. Yes about not making videos on windows we still were learning to make videos.
@@pennyshotrodscustoms You guys are doing fine ,I kept two engines a Lister and a Lauson Frost King two small tractors a Gibson and Wheel Horse mostly focusing on the Mercury now after watching your bench seat rebuild I might do my own . Cheers Mike

Looks great what are you doing for front end suspension and rear end?
The front end is stock except for disk brake conversion. The rear is a Chevy 10 bold with stock springs and shackles.
