I believe this is due to younger children today being very familiar with touchscreen devices like phones and tablets, and learning this way. Very rarely I suspect they'll be using a mouse, as even domestic PC's for the average family is a laptop or 2in1 tablet device. It's probably just what he's used to and how he's always played, as he's learnt for a long time to not use a mouse and has developed better reflexes without thus far. Though a mouse would obviously be more optimal, it's just what you're used to.

Just to add to this, you're looking for a "momentary on" or "non-latching" switch for both your power and restart replacement switches. You can also wire in a "latching" switch to one of the power wires to act as an interrupter so if you accidentally bump your power or restart switch it won't do anything until the latching switch is also pressed/connecting both sides of the wire. And to make it even more complicated you can wire in an interrupter to the power LED so you can disable the power LED if it's bright and you sleep in that room.
This is one of those tables that you cant punch/kick if you ever get mad in a game

I would have installed a full-length roll-out shelf, with a side panel to mount the power supply on. Just roll the shelf out, installed everything. Run cables through, plug everything in. Then just roll the shelf back in. Makes it easy to get to when it's time to upgrade the NVME drive or anything else.

My first two laptops came from a recycling dump out the back of Dad's work, combined the parts to make 1 functional pentium 3 machine with a baller 8mb Trident Cyberblade gpu
After that, my first actual PC purchase came years later after graduating highschool and working full time for 6 months at $7/hr (yay 16 year old slave wages) and first desktop was when I was 20 in 2011, then working full time for.... $7/hr (yay adult apprenticeship slave wages)

Tip for positioning the motherboard "bracket" pieces.
Attach the brackets to the motherboard, put some super glue into the bottom of brackets, put into place, remove the motherboard and screw in the bracket.
A little tedious but it'll put it in the right place.

It's okay guys, I got that 5700 XT mech. It runs like hot ass. Barely reaches 1800mhz and runs at post 90c at all times.
@@KrakenGameReviews Same here should have got a 2070 super lol AMD is good for CPU's but for Graphics Cards do your self a favor and get NVIDIA.
