As a BJJ coach, I seriously hope parents get their kids involved in some form of martial arts, whether is wrestling (which I’d recommend first), BJJ, Boxing, anything, it’s not just for the self defense. There’s genuinely something special about being in a training room that when you have like minded people working together, learning something together really helps instill confidence and a beautiful sense of self awareness that most people lack.

Or, just in general, a great way for boys to learn that it’s not scary to be physical with another guy and that the human body can take quite a tossing around and bit of getting banged up before any real damage is done. It instills discipline, hard work, teaches techniques that will serve him well in defense situations and last him a lifetime.

Bullying is a serious issue especially for children, the problem is that some parents take it for granted especially in male children and call them weakling for being bullied; this compounds the problem. It can lead to mental health issues like depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and poor academic performance and the list goes on. It can even lead to serious injuries or death in some cases, MAY GOD FORBID us and our entire family from facing such issues, Amin BI IDHNILLAH.
