I ended up getting a 3rd cover b with Beschcomber on the cover because I liked the image so much. I haven’t read the book yet, so I’m glad to hear everything was good, as expected. I look forward to reading it this weekend.
It's a great cover! I've been so impressed with Jorge Corona's interior art. He gives the robots so much expression and personality. I hope you enjoy it!
I’m with you, Transformers is THE book I look forward to the most each month. The Corona art is just simply put, perfection. Keeps the stylings of DWJ but with such a wonderful 80’s animation feel. Beachcomber may just have become my favorite character in the series, and that is largely due to the amazing opening pages! As an original art collector, I have a few pages from Jorge in the works! Can’t wait to see them in person! Ain’t No Grave is another fun series with beautiful Jorge Corona art, a bit more stylized but wonderful in its own right. It’s a western/supernatural 5 issue mini series written by Skottie Young. A worthy read as well!
That's great that you have some original Jorge Corona art on the way. I've really gotten into his art due to Transformers. I saw Corona was doing Ain't No Grave and it looks cool. I need to catch up with it. Thanks for the recommendation.
@@WakizashisTeahouse Transformers was my intro to his art as well, was instantly impressed when he stepped in on issue 7! Great stuff! Sadly though, I think he is only on board (at least for now) until issue 12, to close out this 2nd story arc. I imagine we’ll find out more at Skybound’s Energon Universe San Diego Comic Con panel.

I have never been a Transformer fan but DWJ definitely made me one! I started following his work with Beta Ray Bill a while back! Great combo of story and art, use of layout and color etc. lettering pops off the page! In a couple of months when 12 comes out I’m going to sit back and read 1-12! Kinetic energy with interesting characters! Not bad for a bunch of toy robots 🤖! Definitely top 5 books of the year!⚡️🎯👍👋
Yes it is definitely one of the best books of the year. DWJ has made me care about giant transforming robots! If you haven't read them yet, I recommend DWJ's Extremity and Murder Falcon books.
Beachcomber was one heck of a surprise to see brought into the comic above all other autobots.
I love his story in this issue. He is such a cool and laidback autobot, he just wants peace, man✌️
So cool seeing Beachcomber again. The last time I remember him having a real role in TF was in the original cartoon.

DWJ made me like Beachcomber. He was not a fave of mine when the G1 series used to occupy a large chunk of my tv watching back in the day.
