- Isla Sorna, the mysterious sister island to Isla Nublar. The place with so many stories left unsaid, truths yet explored, problems to be figured out. Abandoned in May of 1995 after a massive hurricane hit the island, leaving InGen’s assets to run rampant. But what of the assets? What were the species that were brought back up the well that is time? Here in this video we are going to attempt to answer these questions.

Nice to see Albertosaurus getting mentioned from Trespasser
Absolutely, we couldn't not include the best JP Game!
Openning with Trespasser audio has me sold, I’m already exited for this!
Of course! Always starting with the GOAT!
Awesome video!!! Also I still kinda find it weird there are two types of Brachis and I didn't realize it? In jwe2 I always use Altithorax as male and Brancai as female, as Altithorax is green and Brancai is female and I use that as male in female like how birds are in real life, where the males are blue, green, or both, while the females are brown, gray, or both, which is what I use for my Dinosaurs if I want to use sexual dimorphism with them :)
Ah yes, brachiosaurus.. gigantic theropods..
I mis read the script, and somehow that slipped passed the full watch throughs the team and I do. I worked a 50 hour work week bringing these 3 videos to you this week, a couple of misreads were bound to happen.
As someone who likes JP way too damn much, I love videos like this
Am I the only one who realizes he called Suchomimus “Suchosaurus”
15:46
There is a reason for that, which we will discuss in a future video
its actually a real dinosaur
Immediately subscribed, love how you included soft-canon and some possible canon fauna in here. Keep up the great work!
With one misread and you made me think compys take on stegos shadow of the colossus style
Such a missed opportunity for when you get to play as a Compy in the Lost World PlayStation game
I want a prequel to see Isla Sorna before hurricane clarissa
I like the depths that you go in your content, congrats!
6:07 The Kenner Pachycephalosaurus Released During The Lost World Jurassic Park Line
There’s A Classic Roberta Or Rexy From Jurassic Park Novel And Other T-Rexes Too, Cool 13:08🦖😍👑🤩🔥
I would love a The Isle-like game set on Sorna
Oh just wait! We have a video planned soon on that subject!
@@The_AmberMine NICE
I just love how John hammond talking that way when he explained something information abot the island😊
This is a brisk walk through the park.❤
Jeez Universal did a pretty good job at fleshing out the ecosystems of Isla Sorna. Also why did you include creatures like the Dimetrodon and Barosuchus? I can get behind the Albertosaurus, but where is any info given about stuff like the Staurikosaurus?
Most of the information we've used comes from The Lost World video game for the Playstation and Sega Genesis(?), with some bits and pieces taken from the DPG's InGen List, the Lost World and JP3, and other various marketing websites lost to time yet still somehow accessible through Archive .org and a flash emulator.
Dimetrodon, Baurusuchus, and Staurikosaurus come from the Lost World Video Game, as with Leptoceratops and Orodromeus. Not really canon, but we included regardless.
I love all the questions with like "Where's spino?"
Where's Cerato? The JP3 Pteranodon? The JP3 Corythosaurus and Ankylosaurus?
The species cloned during the Amalgam Testing will be featured in their own video.
I know right? LoL.
13:26 It Was 1989 Rexy Was Moved To Isla Nublar After Being One Year Old After Being Born On Isla Sorna Site B In 1988 In The Embryonic Administration Lab
Nice video. I like dinosaurs.
Man, I don't think you missed _any_ species (👏)! Many of these I recognize from the "TLW" PS1 game, like the Orodromeus and Leptoceratops.
Keep It Up I Just Subscribed
it's suchomimus, not suchosaurus
We know, there’s a reason we say Suchosaurus instead
Just not something we’re ready to talk about… yet
@@BOb-lu3pc say the names correctly. Or we riot
@@AntiSimpTrooper-175Suchosaurus is also a dinosaur, but is probably a synonym of Baryonyx.
@@Tyrannosaurus_rex. I should have known. We have a dino also named hadrosaurus
I always wonder this question. What happened to Isla Sorna after the events of Jurassic world to fallenkingdom to domminion, I was still wondering it
Ecosystem collapsed after the illegal species were introduced in 1999
Masrani transported some if not most of the sorna species to nublar in 2004
Biosyn and Mantahcorp stole sorna species after 2015
And I think Black Market mercenaries still relocate dinosaurs off of isla sorna up to modern day. Dino Tracker might say something about it
Hey, where is the Spinosaurus?! And the Pteranodons from JP3?! You forgot the most important of all! You should fix that. Anyway, if you could one about the species from Isla Nublar, It would be interesting too.
The species cloned during the amalgam testing (spino, Cerato, etc.) will be featured in their own upcoming video
As for the dinosaurs of Isla Nublar, we already did them

Loved the video, it is good to know there are more people who cares about the little details that makes jp so good, even if most people dont give a shit

It's FAR older then that. LoL
Can You Do A Video On The History Of Isla Sorna Site B And The Buildings On The Island
Great video, but you should lower the volume of the music a bit.
It's so weird, on headset while editing its fine, then once live it's terrible. I've been having issues with Premier and sound for a while now
Waityou forget the Spino he lived in Isla sorna before remember
Spinosaurus and other species cloned during the amalgam testing will be featured in their own video
nice
Wait there was more then one type of brachiosaurus on Sorna? Is Brachiosaurus Brancai the one on Nublar?
Yes, Brancai was in JP. Altithorax was in JP3
2:40 What do you mean by *THEROPODS* ?
Recording mistake, the script says Sauropod
@@BOb-lu3pc Oh...UNDERSTANDABLE,HAVE A GREAT DAY!🤌👍
lol I like the rdr2 background 2:02
I believe the blue one is Big Eatie. I only remembered there are 8 rexes but turns out it was Junior, correct?
Roberta (Rexy), The Buck, The Doe, The Bull (JP3), Big Eatie, Tembo (the rex from the TLW marketing website) and Novella (the JP Novel Rex). Junior and Little Eatie are offspring, as well as the Male Rexes on Nublar during Jurassic World.
Genuinely interested to hear your reasoning for using Suchosaurus instead of Suchomimus considering its dubious nature. I'll keep my eyes peeled for video you mentioned in the comments.
We will have a video on it after Jurassic June! Still being researched!
@@The_AmberMine completely understandable, keep up the good work and love the renders 👍
Do one of these with isla nublar
Oh just wait! Jurassic June is coming soon!
This helps me the with jwe2 ecosystems
Is it possible that the Ouranosaurus from Camp Cretaceous is from Isla Sorna?
Well there's no precedence of Ouranosaurus being on Isla Sorna at any point in time. I don't want to say it's outside the realm of possibility but it's never been mentioned in any form of canon.
13:08 Was The Red Female T-Rex The One From Jurassic Park Adventures Survivor
It's based on the Novel version of Roberta!
The mamenchisaurus preferred the redwoods and the brachiosaurus performed the jungle and I did not know that brachiosaurus gen 1 and gen 2 were not the same species
When researching I hadn't found anything about the Mamenchi preferring the redwoods. Is that from JWE2?
@@The_AmberMine I did watch klayton fioriti when he did the ecosystem of site B
We haven't found anything about the Mamenchi preferring that. I'll have to check out his video and maybe contact him to see what his source was.
@@The_AmberMine He does list his sources at the beginning of the video
What are the inactive species supposed to be are they just extinct or are they not created yet?
when they say inactive, they mean not created yet
@@terrysyvertson9205no they were cloned but re-entered extinction sometime after 1995
I'll explain that in the next video.
Can You Do A Video Of The Other 4 Islands In The Las Cinco Muertes
Do You Have Any Theories What’s On The Other 4 Islands In The Las Cinco Muertes
Why are species from the Lost World PS1 game included?
Filler, we know they're not really canon but they're cool regardless
Are these are cannon to the movie or the novels? Or are some cannon and some just put in because
Movie, Novels and some of the games for good measure.
@@The_AmberMine nice, very good video I enjoyed it
Did you just call Brachiosaurus a theropod
Also, where the heck is the spino
It was a script read issue. My bad.
Spino is in the Project Regenesis video.
11:21 Wait So Dimetrodon Was On Isla Sorna Site B?
Referencing The Lost World Playstation 1 game!
So, with Baryonyx there’s a mention of Styracosaurus but it’s not shown?.
Mispronouncement of Stauricosaurus, shown later in the video.
Oh, I think he mispronounced “Staurikosaurus”
@@BOb-lu3pc thanks!
He also said that Brachiosaurus were “theropods”
@@iguanobro9925 that was a recording error, the script says Sauropod
very nice vid, but Suchomimus is the name of that "suchosaurus"
There's a reason for it, that will be revealed in Jurassic June!
Suchomimus was named in 1998. We didn't know what it was during the time period that InGen supposedly cloned dinosaurs on Isla Sorna, so I assume suchosaurus was chosen as what InGen assumed they discovered when they cloned it at the time since we've known about it since 1841.
@@dr.penguin7934 Oh wow you got it spot on!
Originally we were going to say it was V2 Baryonyx but Suchosaurus made more sense
Did I mishear or did you refer to Barasuchus as a phytosaur? That's not correct, it's actually a much closer relative of true modern crocs.
I think it may have been a problem with the script
Some months ago we thought that the Barasuchus from TLW Game was Parasuchus which is a phytosaur. But recently we reclassified it as Baurusuchus and I think the art work used in the strategy guide is a Baurusuchus as well. But while reviewing the script I realized that there was a miscommunication and that a lot of the information written on Barasuchus was based on Parasuchus hislopi and not Baurusuchus pachechoi. I had corrected the majority of the information but I guess I missed the Phytosaur bit.
The original script:
"Barasuchus pachechoi
Barasauchus is an extinct genus of phytosaur that lived in India during the Late Triassic period. If the underground rivers don’t have Baryonyx it's a safe bet that this is living there. The species has been observed going out of their way for Compies. Barasuchus is probably mistranslated from Parasuchus. "
My edit:
"Barasuchus pachechoi
Barasauchus is an extinct genus of phytosaur that lived in Brazil’s Late Cretaceous rivers and Swamps. Today it festers and is one of Sorna’s dominant river predators.. The species has been observed going out of their way for Compies. Barasuchus is probably mistranslated from Baurusuchus."
@@BOb-lu3pc IMO parasuchus is probably the closer match than baurusuchus is, considering bauru in the fossil record is a more terrestrial animal. But overall, big fan of seeing all TLW species listed out and compiled like this, cool stuff!
My bad, wrong information was included. Started as a different species information.
Weirdly someone i know thinks the buck, doe, and junior are the same color. Brown
Yeah, the Buck and Junior are clearly green. LoL
@The_AmberMine exactly, that is what I told him, but he's too stubborn to listen.
Is this the list before TLW? Because if not, you missed Ceratosaurus and Spinosaurus. But is this is a list of the initial species, then you got it.
This list is PRE Amalgam Testing yes. That video will come soon!
you should of made the carnotaurus like the ones in the novel looking like a chameleon
We have the model made!
The carnotaurus genders are the wrong way round as toro was a male and sported the yellow on top but great video overall
Our bad, even our Dino experts didn't catch that.
Its all good and this content is great
is Spinosaurus not included?
Check out our most recent video!
Where’s the spino
The species cloned during the amalgam testing will be featured in their own video
02:39 Sauropod are not Theropod.
I misread the script. My bad
Can u do a video of the illegally cloned species of isla sorna??
That video will be coming out later today
The bull was born one year after junior because during jp3 it was only 3 years old
Where's your evidence for this?
@BOb-lu3pc it was confirmed fir a while but their were 4 females and 3 males rexy the oldest female was moved over to jurassic park that leaves 3 females left and their were 3 males each rex pair had 1 offspring The offspring being junior, the bull and little eatie
@@PteranodonLongicepsGen1 What's the source?
@@BOb-lu3pctrespasser says that but the validity of trespasser’s canon is debatable
@@CHANN3L_NAME Trespasser says the the Bull from JP3 is a child of the 7 rexes?

Multiple sources. Most importantly TLW movie itself, the computer monitor in Hammond’s bedroom, the PS1 TLW game, the TLW Arcade game, Trespasser and the Sega Genesis game.
I debated including sources but I decided against it.
Films, Books, video games, Marketing websites that are only accessible from archive.org.
Oh and it wouldn't be a true Amber Mine video without a copious amount of Head Canon XD
@@The_AmberMineso all are these dinosaurs on isla sorna
And Spinosaurus aegiptygus

They fell back into Extinction or they were only cloned elsewhere outside of Isla Sorna (ei 4 Herrerasaurus being found on Nublar)
They forgot about ma guy ceratosaurus

Why does isla sorna look like it has a part of 🇵🇭
Interesting, I never would have thought the Philippines. I know what location inspired the shape but I'm saving that for next year...
Bro it's suchomimus 😭
We will reveal why we called it that soon.
What about the spinosaurus
That's next video!
Wow so the dominion dilophosarus were males
Thats our understanding of what the Dino Sheet says.
It's just headcanon, nothing official says the dominion Dilos were Males to the JP Dilos. Not that I'm aware of anyways
Where spinosaurus is? Becouse spino is in isla sorna
Next video!
Where is the ceratosaurus
Next video!
We’re is spino
This is mostly covering TLW era Sorna, with a slight mention of the Altithorax being brought to Nublar for JW.
The Spino is an Amalgam Species, all of those will be getting a separate video.
Where is the Spinosaurus?
Next video!
The pteranodon part is false, it was already confirmed that the “male” and “female” pteranodon Ms are different species the ones seen on tlw were Pteranodon Longiceps
Where is your proof? We are going off of the ILM making of and information from multiple sources in the Fandom who have worked on the movies / products for the movie. Namely Jaroslav.
@@The_AmberMine the hammomf collection video says that geosternbergia was a concept creature, sure it originally was going to be sexual dimorphism but that was retconned when the species where devided on two genus (I disagree with that proposal either way)
Brachiosaurus is a sauropod not theropod
Yeah, I misread the script. My bad.

Tarbosaurus?
What about Tarbosaurus? Do we have any proof (games or books) of it showing up earlier then Camp Cretaceous Hidden Adventure?

They are? I know the Tyrannosaurus rex and Albertosaurus sarcophagus are included but I don't think the Tarbosaurus is.
@@The_AmberMine I might be trippin', but I could've swore the Tarbosaurus was stated to be in there somewhere, like the "young trexes" or the female trex in the game were meant to be them or something.

@@The_AmberMine thanks for telling me
8:55 that Parasuchus not Barasuchus It's from India and it has been called Barasuchus because there's not P word in Japanese
We think it's Baurusuchus pachechoi not Parasuchus hislopi. The render used for Barasuchus from the game's strategy guide fits Baurusuchus much better.
@@BOb-lu3pc possible but I honestly think it was supposed to be Parasuchus not Baurusuchus + the game model is supposed to a phytosaur not a Crocodylomorpha
@@UnofficialJurassicWorldYT So I've been told but the skull looks nothing like Parasuchus
@@BOb-lu3pc But when I compared it to parasuchus and baurusuchus I found out that the Head shape looks similar to a Phytosaur like Parasuchus unlike Baurusuchus who has more of boar croc or aka Kaprosuchus and Mahajangasuchus or any other Crocodyliomorph not a Phytosaur
