I am 60 years old and I think I can do this dance,, I have learned over 12 different line dances in the past 13 years including Good Time,, This Country Girl is AWESOME ! This particular line dance is being taught to all future members of the Arizona State University Country Western Dance classes. All the other dances to this song I've seen have either been far too complicated, waaaaay too basic, or very "gender specific" (meaning you wouldn't generally see both guys and girls enjoying the dance). Our dance has already gotten a ton of traction and is a ton of fun for everyone!

still trying to get it down I think it'll be great and fun to be able to do country line dancing and I love country music I think the part I have a problem on is the stepping part at the beginning after the 4 stomps.. but I'll get it hopefully eventually lol it would suck to go to a bar or any place with country music and not know how to line dance u know what I mean?

Wow, I should have looked up these videos earlier. I have been having to learn the line dances for all the songs I dance to in the middle of the song. I manage to do it, but only about 3/4ths of the way through the song.
Keep working at it! At 8:06 I do the full line dance facing the same direction as you would be looking at your screen so maybe try watching that part a few times!

That is amazing! I actually don't have any other instruction for my line dance other than this video. I've had a few requests for a step sheet but have never tried putting one together. Maybe it's time I try that!

I really like this and it is a good dance 'how to' but the only thing i found hard about this is that your camera was backwards so i had to try to do everything backwards and i couldnt understand it and im still having a very hard time with the dance.

Hi - our 'sexy old broads' exercise group love your line dance and this video and really want to learn it before the new year's eve party, but we live in an area where there is no internet except through satellite here at home - not at the community centre where we do our dancing...how can I get a copy of your video (or can I?) to download onto my laptop so I can take it to our class and put up on a projection screen.. if I can do this somehow,is there a cost involved?

Hello Ashleigh! One awesome aspect of dance choreography is the hugely diverse groups doing the dances. Some line dances have become a staple of country, where others are just starting to get traction. I can promise you there were plenty of other versions of the "Tush Push" before the generally accepted one we dance today. This line dance was originally a project that turned out so good, it is now part of the curriculum at one of the largest Universities in the USA. This tutorial was designed for the class at ASU, and just as a bonus it's already at almost 200,000 views nationwide. Out of the ones you've seen, you should pick the one you like best, and make that YOUR official dance, but for the time being, have fun with this one ;)
Ashleigh Folloder Also, as for steps 17-24, I promise if you watch the video a few more times and practice the steps while you do it, it'll make a lot more sense. Thats usually the steps our students get a little tied up on, too. Coincidently, most of them have used this video to figure it out.

This video ticks me off a little. For instruction purposes it should be backwards I would go to my right and the dancers should go to their left for mirroring. I'm almost thirty five, I've never learned to dance. I was in Sacramento CA for the past nineteen years. People get shot at dance clubs in Sacramento so its not exactly safe to go out there. I start on my right foot but than start mirroring and end up going to my left. You would do good with some group exercise instruction.

I would like to learn this, one thing about this vid I have a problem with, NEVER SHUT OFF LUKE BRYAN!!!!!! That is all. The dance was good, should've been a little faster to match the music a little more tho.
We actually had a faster version when I was doing the initial choreography, but it just didn't feel right. This version ended up being the best mix of complex and easy to retain. And yeah...I know...but if I cut the video off it's that much less time inbetween you learning the dance and doing it to the full song! ;)
