  • Aztecs lived by a different code and being part of a sacrifice to appease the gods was seen as an honor, but from today's standards, the rituals of the Aztecs are seen as extreme and horrifying! Check out some of the craziest things the Aztecs did that were just part of their daily life.

@Darnell Green The Aztecs were at war with the Spaniards.. and it was mostly smallpox that killed them, not Europeans.. do you really think people are inventing the history of ancient civilizations to try and create racism in the modern day..? That literally makes no sense homie

@Darnell Green Dude are you trying to score points off a detail of what I said or educate yourself on a topic you’re clearly lacking info on.
I’m not defending all the actions taken by the Spaniards, not a chance, but you’re actually crazy if you think they made up all the details of child sacrifice and skin wearing rituals to try and perpetuate racism. There are literal carvings on their monuments of human sacrifice. I’m not saying what the Spaniards did was good but I’m also not saying the native Americans (Aztecs) were some peaceful people when they were literally skinning children alive.

Yet many Muslim and Arab countries still practice slavery to this day, others waiting until the 20th and 21st century to abolish it. Westerners abolished slavery first. So no, America, nor Europe, was ever more brutal than Native Americans, the Middle-East, or nearly any other place for that matter.

They all made pyramids but I think only the Aztecs decorated their pyramids with their gods

Always when I watch these videos- the fact that they use this cute cartoonish animation style to show stories of genocide, human sacrifice, cannibalism etc; wow that just makes the whole thing even creepier lol . The one of Jeffrey Dahmer particularly!

One has to wonder with the amount of times they kept doing it would it actually rain or produce results when they sacrificed. Because you would think the would at some point realize hey this doesn't seem to be working

I mean you can make the same argument for Christianity or any religion. At one point does the prayer not match up with what you want. For the Aztecs and some other indigenous cultures they continued minor ritual sacrifices even after Spanish colonization.
