Try "dream of splendor". That also really great drama with more mature relationship (being understanding n strong support for each others). The chemistry for both lead is awesome too, witty dialogue (even when they are teasing in sarcarsm way) n both of leads is smart af. Started to despise each others, become life n death companion n then love is blooming, it will give u a butterfly in the stomach for the sweet interaction between the leads 😊😊🤭

one of the best c-dramas I've watched so far. It had me shedding tears from episode 1-42. Can't deny Dilraba's versatility and beauty. Ren Jialun is just pure eye candy plus his superb acting. Love this so much. All in all I admire Lin Hao Qin's character, despite what his father wanted for and treated him, he always remained true to himself. Epic!!

The merman found his mermaid and lived happily ever after. What a beautiful ending. Even if I wanted more about their reunion this was a satisfied ending. Everyone came back and had the ending they wanted. I was sad for Hoaqing but at least was alive and became the leader he wanted to be. Li Shue came back new, pure and handsome and the commander found her perfect cat again. So refreshing. Luo luo became a happy spouse and previously mother with her shy but powerful husband. Everything and everyone were on the top of feelings, chemistry and acting. So rarely and beautiful indeed. 😍

If u haven't watch "dream of splendor", i highly recommend that. That also 10/10 drama too about love, sacrifice, struggle but the relationship is more mature (there is no misunderstanding to make them "separated" even the male lead has so many deep secret but the female lead willing to waiting him to tell his secret when he is ready) and both of male n female lead is really smart af. But is not fantasy one, more to historical. One of the most satisfying ending drama too :)
13:39 destroyed me and I will now never recover :( When it comes to different kinds of love, Lin Haoqing's story arc is probably the most well-written. He had received love from his father who believed that the only way to save him is to raise him to be ruthless and unwavering, forcing him to make traumitizing choices growing up. He had received love from his personal attendant; even though he is harsh towards her, she still values his life more than her own. But when it comes to loving others, Lin Haoqing wasn't even complaining about his personal feelings not being returned; he simply thought that he did not even have the right to love because of the circumstances he was born with. I think more than anything else that's the part that hurts the most.
Once the good intentions behind Lin Haoqing's seemingly evil actions throughout his life were revealed, I rooted the most for him. For me, he was the most compassionate, most selfless and most loving male character yet the most misunderstood one. It is easy to be compassionate, selfless and loving when one's feelings are reciprocated. It takes a lot of character and heart to endure the alienation and still continue to keep secret that he has to keep on choosing doing the lesser evil to protect others from much worse evil. He had to pretend to be uncaring towards the woman he loves and bear her disdain so that she won't be treated worse by his father. He debased himself and kowtowed to the evil people in power to protect all the people of Flower Valley (even those who have already left) who can all be easily killed by the frost mark. Some say that he could have allied himself with the "good guys" instead of (begrudgingly) bowing to Shunde. But he actually cannot. Others can openly fight to protect their people because they don't have the frost mark. On the other hand, Haoqing can only covertly fight and pretend to be subservient because his people can be instantly killed without a fight. Now, that is the mark of a true ruler. Someone who lets his hated enemies trample on his pride and his dignity and constantly put his life on the line so that his people can continue to live ... his people most of whom do not even know the sacrifices he's doing for them.
In the end, I was hoping that he'd have a happy with Yaoshi Siyu, his loyal lieutenant who loved him and knew the good intentions behind his actions.
This is my favourite theme about this show - yes there are a few who have turned evil due to their circumstances, yet there are so many who choose compassion and perseverance over and over and over again. Even Lin Haoqing - I really can't believe he never turned evil :O I was even ready for Qingyao (the final North Abyss Lord in the end after Changyi left with Yunhe) to turn evil at some point to fight for Changyi's love too, but she never did. Thank goodneess
Everyone got a happy ending. Everything was perfect. Their chemistry was pure and beautiful ❤️...This drama became my most favourite of this year so far..... Alots of love for the casts and the crews ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The only ending I wanted of her becoming a mermaid and going home to his East Sea...was still stunning to witness. Thank you production team for this EPIC drama. I always wanted him to return home as King of the Seas...he deserves it. Yunhe is an epic female with her intelligence, skills, compassion, and resolution. She represented on every level.

This drama gave my emotions a roller coaster ride. There were moments that I envied all the different couples and their love, but there were also moments where I was balling my eyes out. This drama literally had me staying up all night watching it. Ren Jia Lun, Dilireba, and the rest of the cast were all awesome

The last 2 episodes will make you tear up with joy, sadness and laughter, make sure you have a tissue box close by. I’m so happy everyone ended with an happy ending! 33:34, I couldn’t hold in my tears for San Yue and Li Shu reunion. When the song started play,I just got the goosebumps and teared up. Everyone got a happy ending in this series.
They should make 1 or 2 special episode for us viewers of how Yun He came back, Haoqin and Siyun together, San Yue and Li Shu marriage.

I'm guessing when Chang Yi gave Yun He the pearl the first time, Yun He was still a spiritual master and a fox, as she has 2 veins. When Chang Yi gave her the pearl the second time, Yun He was just a fox and the pearl helped her develop a mermaid tail from her fox fail.
Just watch the last part I’m still in episode 12 in part just rush in here because I’m beginning to have impatient with the way they are treating the mermaid

When I got to the scene where Chang Yi and Yunhe were sitting on the cliff, I thought Chang Yi was still reminiscing and imagining. When she turned into a mermaid and the story ended, I was totally surprised and confused. I was like "WUT?!?! 😮 Whaddaheck happened?!?! 😵💫Did I miss an episode?!?! 🥴"
I'm so glad you posted the explanation.😊 Otherwise, I would have thought that it's just another story that could have been great but the writer/s got lazy and/or ran out of ideas OR that the production company ran out of money and just slapped together a haphazard ending.

Ji Yunhe character development was on point from spirit master to nine- tailed fox to finally a mermaid.she was beautiful in all💜💜💜well done
This drama is an epic, no doubt. The actors were not acting, but living. Many a time it got difficult to control my tears. Dilraba, Ren Jialun, and all other supporting cast did a wonderful performance!! One of the other main reasons why I believe this drama got etched in audience minds is its mesmerizing background score. Never ever I have gone through a series just to hear the music.. Loved the music to the core..💞Though I don't understand a single word in the song, it is too captivating.. BLUE WHISPER team..

Junhe has a tail at the end because Chang Yi's mermaid pearl transformed her energy and form over 300 years. When the evil was dispersed, she broke out of the volcano. She found ChangYi in the East sea while he was fishing. He fished her out of the sea, it was a very happy reunion. This is the part the director cut.

I started watching it after seeing a clip of it two days ago. Oh man it didn't disappoint me! Everything that we want to experience in our lifetime is there..I knew they were acting but I forgot it until the end!

If u have watch eternal love (ten miles of peach blossom), watch the sequel "eternal love of dream". The sequel is a love story for the second leads (dirlaba is the second lead female on that drama, but her story in eternal love with eternal love of dream kinda different, coz when eternal love was made, the production house cant get copyright for the second book (eternal love of dream/pillow book) at that time, so they must change the story a little bit. When eternal love of dream was made, it follows the story on the novel). My most favorite one is eternal love, i have been rewatch it for 8 times already and still cant get bored lol.. the story is just so beautiful n tear jerker that will crushed ur heart. But it will have a happy ending
The other drama that will squeze ur tears but it have beautiful love story "ashes of love", "love and redemption", "love and destiny" (love and destiny is prequel of eternal love, it still under three live three love universe. So that universe all the leads have similiar story, that they have through 3 different lives/identity in three different realms but one love)

I only wish that the ending would have been longer smooth not brusque. What a grandiose epic drama. The beauty of Dilraba, and handsomeness of Ren Jialun and their rollercoaster myriad emotions displayed by each of them are astounding. All the characters played by supporting actors were perfect. This is the grandest Epic the lead artists delivered a masterpiece. I was sitting on the edge at all times, biting my fingers, crying, so much in pain when Ji Yun He died and when Chang Yi froze, lastly for the good of everyone Ji Yun He asked to be sealed in order to get rid of evil. Her determination was such, even Chang Yi her husband was helpless to prevent her from sacrificing herself, resigned to wait for her return , inside he was agonizing, as the spouse he has the staying power that nowadays only in fantasy we find such devotion between husband and wife. Hats off to you Baba and Ren Jialun he is my new favorite now. Thank you team of The Blue Whisper, thankyou writer of the novel, thankyou actors, actresses, producers, directors for this masterpiece. I wish all of you success in your future endeavors. From Canada Baba fan.

What I love about this drama are the lessons engraved in each episodes. The lessons that are enlightening and makes you look at the world differently. In a world where evil roams I hope we all choose to do what's right and good, may we not fall into the pits of evil, rather may we fight for what's good and for peace among humanity.

I thought the novel was already beautifully written; however, the drama took it to epic proportions with the stellar acting of the entire cast, very good cgi, sharp and well executed stunts, smartly written characters though very sacrificial in nature, and the music!

C'est vrai que tout se passe un peu d'un coup, en un demi d'épisode et c'est un peu frustrant... je voulais aussi en savoir plus sur leur re-découverte, mais ce n'est pas triste du tout. revoir l'épisode

Allen Reng so beautiful profile, never cease my heart from jumping and aching at the same time. Storyline is so beautiful! There’s only 20% in the dialogue that was not cry-able! Delraba very good acting as always, the expressions hand gestures everything. The 2nd male lead makes myheart ache by his eyes, his facial expressions, everything he does makes you emotional. The bobcat’s character is very well played, the flirty style, the actions. Everyone has no flaw, as in everyone is on point! The costume is so de5ailed, the hairstyle, everything. I so so love this costume cdrama!
i loved this drama, it had a great storyline and before you watch it buy like two or three boxes of tissue cause I cried so hard😭😭😭🤧🤧 like ugly cried not even gonna lie this drama hits hard but it's soo totally worth it because you get immersed in it and you keep wanting everything to end up well for them because you were with them from day one.

Dilraba is my favourite actress and after watching this drama I’m now an Allen Ren fan 😍 The most beautiful merman I’ve ever seen 😍 My favourite Chang Yi look was his outfit and look at the coronation- those little earrings, he looked so good! The drama and OST is sooo magical. Can’t get enough!

The story, acting and costumes in this drama were great (even if it had me crying in several episodes). The only thing that was little disappointing was the very short jump to the ending, nothing about them finding each other - just them sitting on a cliff, jump into the sea n "oh she's a mermaid this time" when you see them leap in the air
Like did they run out of budget, timing or actors had other commitments they couldn't get out of so cut it short?

I have finally reached the end of this beautiful drama and I have to say, what a time of my fuckn life 😭😭😩😩🤌🏼 I absolutely love this, everything I wished for happened, the couples I rooted for reunited w a happy ending (even my luo luo was having a baby), everybody got closure; I love the immortal realm cos nobody ever really dies 😅 and even tho I don't think yunhe ever came back to life, I still appreciate them giving us alternate dream ending we all probably would've wanted.

Whoa! Even though that’s the ending I wanted in the first place, I never thought it would actually happen. I actually had to re-watch it again, because I was simply stunned. I wish they would’ve made it a little longer at the end instead of making us try to digest it in 6 seconds! Loved this series. It does have a lot of sadness but it’s well written & acted. It goes onto my top 10 Cdrama list!
I have fallen in love with Chinese drama's. The beauty in how they film and storylines are incredible. My favorite actress has been Dilraba for some time. Now I will have to say that Allen Ren has taken my heart as my favorite male actor. Thank you all for an amazing drama. It is truly the best I have watched thus far.

Though Allen and Reba hold the highest pedestal.. the rest of the supporting actors are not to far behind: Ci Sha , Xiao Ting, Shun Yao, Yi Yuan, Fan Zhen, especially Oscar, for such a young actor, he did a phenomenal job.. they all did.. They all brought it… their end game.. did not disappoint.. the best of the best.. 2022 cdrama of the year..etc.. they were amazing.. this couldn’t have happened without amazing costume design team, production team, Visual arts and Tech Team, the producers and director.. kudos and a big hug.. for a job well done..

I’ve watched it non stop on repeat and every time I still cry my eyes out💕💕💕 I wish the ending was not rushed and cut for Dilraba and Allen Ren especially when they both suffered so much just to be together 🤗🤗🤗 but over all the blue whisper is magnificent and job well done🤗🤗🤗
