I literally just discovered this band like 3 weeks ago, I'm back pedaling to hear everything that I can find. I love Richie's voice, the guitar, bass, drums are absolute perfection. ❤
Lori, check out Richie’s project with Adrian Smith of Iron Maiden (Smith/Kotzen) and Richie’s solo stuff as well. Bad enough the guy can sing and play guitar like there’s no tomorrow but he’s also an amazing songwriter. I don’t know how he manages to put out so much quality music.

eqsmooth After listening to the recent DT album,I believe Portnoy was right,when he wanted them to take a break.Both Winery Dogs albums,on the other hand sound really fresh and have great variety in the songs.

I still don't know how he can play like that without a pick. This is an amazing band all around.
Thats because in the studio he used a pick on this recording.
+nsen74 actually I believe Kotzen plays without a pick live, he has been using that technique lately. I'm not saying he didn't use a pick on the recording (I don't know) bit if you see live videos he has a pretty similar sound and just using his fingers to play.
He only used pick for 1 solo and the rest was all recorded without one.
He stopped playing with a pick since 2005 more or less.

Since his first video back in the 90s, Kotzen was pushing for legato and less usage of the picks, like Mark Knoffler from Dire Straits
3 of my favorite musicians made a power trio, and it's better than I could ever imagine. This makes my heart smile!

Rediscovering these guys, and loving every effing bit of all that I've missed through the last 10 years.
As soon as Richie starts singing, I'm like "FUCK!". He's all of my favourite rock singers condensed into one person. Phenomenal voice! And it goes without saying that these guys are all incredible musicians.

Best concert I have been to, hands down. I saw 3 guys that are Masters at their craft. 3 guys who knew their place and how to play together. Small venue too made it killer

Seen them once ..Kotzen's guitar playing is so amazing at the same time doing vocals. Portnoy was very entertaining and is a monster drummer. You can't take your eyes off of him cause you might miss an amazing move. And then Sheehan ( best Bass Player IMO ).. . as amazing as Kotzen maybe even better also doing a lot of vocals. JUST AMAZING!
I love the ending solo, very Jazzy. Every time I listen to the song I wait for this part !
The whole thing is Jazz based. It called, “Progressing as a musician”. Many very talented musicians end up playing Jazz style music. It’s the more advanced form and genre of music.
This is so good. The riffing from 4:15 is just insane. Great work!

I really like that this song kind of just feels like a jam sess. No big, booming chorus or anything, just three guys all showing how good they are.

Wow.......my ears have been blessed ............. what a perfect fit for Mike Richie and Billy, talk about compliment each other......they must be lovin it.....I know Mike is by those faces he makes.....I've had 5 ppl listen to these guys and now they have 5 more fans and a couple of these ppl are big time hip hop lovers so, If you can attract such a wide variety of listeners, you know you sound fuckin great.....

I’m really loving the more jazzified guitar solo here and especially the singing along with the guitar notes in unison, love that shit! Man this band could not be cooler, great writing catchy but intricate songs Being performed by just a trio but they all pull more than their own weight and all sing and even extra flair and bass and stick tricks to boot. Damn! You guys r awesome!!
