  • If cows are raised lovingly as mentioned in the scriptures, there are no forced impregnations, calf is allowed to have it's fair share of milk and the cows are not killed once they reach old age, it is okay to consume said milk?

There are TWO reasons why vegans comprise a fraction of one percent of the population:
The main reason is due to humans’ failure to care about what they put into their own bodies - as long as it tastes good, who gives a damn about the consequences to one’s own health, or to the ethical concerns regarding other creatures or the environment?
The other reason is due to vegan advocates and animal rights activists being inept in their understanding of morality, as well as their abysmal grasp of human physiology. Almost every single vegan activist I know of, wrongly believes that we are omnivores, and they are CLUELESS in respect to metaethics and applied ethics.
However, this is not the most unfortunate thing about the matter. The saddest thing is, that there is hardly a single vegan activist willing to spend even a single hour or so, in order to study proper diet and meta-ethics with the current World Teacher Himself, Jagadguru Svāmī Vegānanda, despite him freely offering to do so on his social media platforms. 😩

@@annto1971 One need not love animals to be vegan. It is just ethical thing to be vegan. For example, I don't like some people and I don't love some people still I don't pay someone to murder them. I leave them alone. So veganism is just that. We have to respect the rights to life for them.

We all know cows are exploited in that manner. So do horses and cats and dogs. The point is, that we are taking so much from them, at least we can take care of them in return instead of just seeing them as products and reselling them as meat after their usage ends.
That's why the animal from which we get so much, we call cow as a mother, not really a mother but to form an emotional bond with her.

I would disagree strongly about lab grown meat. As far as I’m concerned lab grown meat is vegan because the only reason vegans don’t buy animal products is because they oppose the rights violations that animals have to experience to get the meat, like rape, torture and murder. If we can procure meat without those rights violations then there’s no ethical problem. Lab grown meat is a blessing to the vegan movement, it is our best and maybe only chance to create a world without slaughterhouses, by rendering the whole process of farming and slaughter obsolete. The same way horse travel is an obsolete means of travel when we have motor vehicles.

By strict definition, plastic is non-vegan because it derives from fossil fuels, primarily petroleum or natural gas. These are processed into monomers like ethylene and propylene, which polymerize into plastic. Some plastics include animal-derived additives such as stearates and glycerin.
What brand is your water bottle, I would like to google and find out if it uses a plant-based bioplastic that is a vegan-friendly alternative.

@@Tuisosuiso If there is no hypocrisy then I don't have anything to discuss. The fossil is from era when Dinosaurs lived and died and it gets converted into fuel, but it is indirect way by that logic every atom that you breathe has come from animal. I don't think glycerin and stearates are derived from animals and they can come from plants or their oils. I don't think you understand what he means he means strictly directly from animal. Like the secrections like blood, urine, semen, honey, eggs, milk etc, and their body parts such as skin, flesh, organs, bones etc. So a lab grown meat is real flesh not made from animal it is made from animal cells that were procured from an animal. The point of upholding this principle is to convey a message that animals should not be viewed as object.

That means, ceasing artificial insemination and refraining from using their milk would remove the necessity to care for them, potentially leading to their extinction. See bro I like your every video a I really realised it's unbearable pain we are causing them it's very painful
But still so many people has given logic that we also kills plants it's also not fair and we should not eats plant too...
And for a moment I felt that too.. and it's quite right
But then I started a to explore that does plants really feel sense of pain
If yes then whatever we are doing is neither right nor wrong it's just it because it's our biological need for food
Then after exploring I got answer plants doesn't feel any sensations including the sense of pain
And I got my answer that
We do have option for healthy survival
Still so many people eat meat including me too.. I also eat chicken and fish
So I asked myself that why I eat chicken and meat ?
4 things I realised in myself
    1) we eat it for pleasure of taste, this this the root cause. And root reason why most of the people eat meat
    If being honest
It's not really reated to protein or health or anything of health
In actuality it's simply because i get a sense of pleasure of taste eating that...
    2) other major reason is we have normalise it society as if it's not a big deal to eat meat
Thus from childhood seeing everyone is eating meat creates a sense of okness that it's absolutely alright and nothing wrong
    3) this is also main reason and very very important cause and that is most of the people aren't really aware of what they really are doing
They are just eating it normally without really knowing what actually they have done and contributed to...
If they really become aware deeply feeling the pain of that animal
They would be shaken from inside
And after seeing your video it happened to me that I was even unable to drink the cup of tea realising what's ugly process behind this
But one thing I don't like and disagree with you is that
You can simply make people aware about what's really we are doing
I.e the all the ugly painful process behind it that's absolutely enough
Nothing more than that is needed
By more I am saying that
We don't need any kind identification like veganism etc etc... with it's rules.
Simply making people aware of pain of animals is enough
Not making people identify them with veganism and stuff...!

The DIAAS scores are usually calculated with Pigs as the reference animal. Not sure if we would get the exact same results on human beings as our digestive tracts are different. More importantly, look at outcome data. There are plenty of vegan body builders and athletes who perform very well at their chosen sport. Does it matter to the average person if they are getting the 2-5 % benefit they are deriving from animal protein vs plant protein ? That's a question each person should answer for themselves.

If diaas score is calculated with pigs, could you attach the article or reference link that explains it. Vegan athletes are taking protein supplements to meet their nutritional requirements, but most people can’t do that. Just want to know how to meet the basic 50g of protein by being a vegan. As per the diaas score, we have to take around 80 to 90g of plant based protein to meet 40 to 50g of protein, but many people can’t eat that much even if they did it causes bloating for some person. I just want an explanation and i too don’t want abuse animals seriously.

Those who are vegetarian from childhood onwards have huge protein deficiency already. Just check, the countries which are pure non-vegetarian are the wealthiest ones...why? Since their working class people from generation are getting all nutrition and protein. In fact even compare India with china...their normal population is much more productive than India. As a poor country we should be purely non vegetarian and when we become developed then only we should think about veganism. With humans morality also dies. Protect humans first.

Vegan propaganda doesn’t realise that India is the only civilisation that has sustainably demonstrated over millennia that a symbiotic and relationship is possible between all living beings. Modern societies are systems of exploration but the traditional system of taking care of cows and working with bulls and oxen has immense value and potential to counter the influence of Kali Yuga.

Arvind, you need to go live in the villages where such natural herds are reared. Even on CZcams there are many videos of farms in places like Gujarat, Rajasthan, etc. where they rear herds which are organic family units. It is not so dire as you describe that cows are ALWAYS forcefully impregnated. Living in natural herds means that the bulls and cows behave naturally, i.e. the cows in heat have the desire to mate with the bulls as much as the bulls have the desire to mate with the cows. You seem to think that only bulls are horny and always have an erection, but cows never have sexual interest in the bulls. Nature is not like that. You should watch the videos where the cows themselves come to the bull and behave affectionately. One bull can mate with several cows, and thus have many calves, and provide sufficient milk. Through selective breeding, some of the breeds like Gir can produce up to 12 litres per day.

These are devices which help pump out the excess milk from breastfeeding women to give them relief. No baby, however healthy it is, can consume all the milk the mother produces. It is the same with cows. They need to be milked regularly otherwise they experience extreme discomfort, because the calves don't suck the milk dry from the cow.

      @GST6647 Před 23 dny

@greatbalance OK now I'm sure you've never been to an actual dairy farm or have any knowledge how this industry works. Male calves are directly sent go slaughthouses and other calves are given the bare minimum and a Ton of growth hormones to grow up quick so they can be impregnated for milk. These animals don't have any sort of exercise or quality of life and they're kept pregnant all their lives and are often sent pregnant to slaughterhouses pregnant too. They never get used to it or over it, they're in constant pain as they're bred to produce milk beyond their natural capacity. Producing dairy is resource intensive so even if the farmer wants to treat them better he/she can't as the milk prices are set aritifically low with supply from everywhere and they're incentivized to keep doing this to survive. For those considering a vegan lifestyle cuz you're a compassionate being but not really knowing where to start.. I've got you covered..
You don't really know what you can eat now that you've ditched meat and dairy..
It can be quite confusing and intimidating even for those who didn't really care about what they were putting into their bodies prior to going vegan..
If you're indian..you already eat a plant centered diet..so it's dairy for us..
So if you , you the Indian , don't wanna support the cruel dairy industry..but still wanna avoid burning a hole in your pocket.. you can start with a simple meal plan.. a low budget but highly nutritious meal plan... Gather every dish you consider healthy..and then ..well... we'll get to that in a while..
But first let's talk about two essential nutrients.. vit b12 and d3 ...
If you don't get out in the sun for atleast 25-30 mins 3-4 times a week.. you're doomed to suffer from d3 deficiency...even CARNIVORES (humans ofc) struggle to meet their vit d requirements from food alone.. they can hardly hit 15 percent.. so.. you should either supplement every once a week or step out in the sun a bit more often..
Now comes b12 ... You can either take shots (that's what I do..like every alternate month) or take pills every once a week .. and this is natural and safe..but be careful with fat soluble vitamins like vit D ...so it would be better if you talked to your doc before taking vit d (as they'll give you adequate dosage..) ... B12 is totally safe tho..
Or you can take axbex or zincovit (multivitamin..) .. pop in a multi and you're set for the day.. this is especially important for pre-meds (or students) like me ...busy people ...
Here goes the food.. this is what works for our household ..cuz these are our staples..
    Protein sources-
    Chickpeas
Soy chunks (this is cheap and healthy..and has anti cancer properties..well anything soy has anti cancer properties except for soy bean oil)
    Soy bean/tofu.
Beans like kidney beans or mung bean
    Lentils (a mix of lentils)
Quinoa (quinoa is cheap.. and very healthy..)
Amaranth (i buy muesli from peepal farm)
Millets (Indians love millet..these are not particularly high in protein but they're amazing)
Chia seeds (not just protein but amazing fats as well...but be sure to soak em)
Flax seeds (these are literally superfoods..)
    Green peas
Hemp seeds (we don't use it but they're really good)
Tempeh (i don't have access to these but again ... they're so good)
Legumes or Pulses in general are so good for you..
Nuts and seeds (amazing protein and fats .)
    Greens -
    Cabbage/cauliflower/brocoli/Brussel sprouts (if available)
Leafy greens like spinach or kale
    Beet root
    Carrots
    Cucumber
Amla (it's a fruit but they're the best. Period)
    Bell pepper 🫑
    Bitter gourd
And the list goes on and on..
Be sure to eat regional vegetabls cuz India is pretty diverse ...so eat your greens..and go local ...
    Peanut butter (peepal farm)
Try to incorporate more colour into your food ....or maybe give permaculture ... Or give permaculture a shot if you have the time..and space..
    Dishes i eat..
Dosa (this is my fave )
    Lentil curry with rice
    Rajma chawal
    Idli sambhar
Indian version of chilli (that has chickpeas , rajma , ground soy chunks , carrots , bell pepper, 🍅 tomatoes, etc)
    Yellow pea chat
    Litti chokha
    Soy bean biryani
Soy bean ki sabzi (i eat lil to no oil)
    Chana masala (chickpea curry)
Oat porridge with apples and bananas and chia seed on top
Indian version of chilli (that has soy chunks , Pinto beans or white rajma , chickpeas , bell pepper 🫑, carrots , onion and garlic 🧄, indian spices, some soy sauce, tomato puree..and a bunch of other healthy ingredient..this can double as bhaji for pav bhaji)
Quinoa oat cinnamon banana porridge without any milk.. you could add some chia or nuts of your choice..
Black mung daal seasoned with salt
South Indian style besan tofu sauted in curry leaves and mustard seeds with sauce..
Chola chana chaat with aloo ki tikki .. (we make it bland cuz we like it bland..)
    Flax seed and jaggery dumplings
    Red lentil uttapam
    Yellow pea chat
(Quinoa+daliya+millet+rice) mung bean khichdi with added veggies
    Daal
    Dhokla
    Pakal tofu paneer
    Mushroom biryani
Oat dense chocolate fudge cake (dessert 😁)
Mix veg soy bean sabzi (quite runny....pretty similar to a soup.. but very tasty.. i like bland stuff )
    High protein muesli ...
Tofu scramble (we eat homemade tofu.. )
Quinoa raita with (peanuts+cabbage+carrot+apples) and other temperings .. we use soy yogurt the one prepared at home...from scratch..cuz i don't use store bought food items / convenient foods into my body..unless I'm starving
These were the dishes i grew up eating.. so it can be different for you.. so prepare a chart of essentials..
I make sure that i eat atleast two servings of protein rich dish (any two.. like it can be chana masala in the morning and khichdi for lunch or dinner)

2:22 Arvind, I'm of the opinion that exploitation is the 'use' of an animal or secretion for your own benefit. So even if you take 'what's left' after the calf drinks their fill, you have exploited the animal.
If a kid is selling lemonade on the side of the road and sells 9 of the 10 drinks with one left over that you know will not be sold. It would be exploitative to go up and take that last cup. It is not your cup. You have not been given consent to take the cup, you are USING the products of her labor, you have benefited off the work or ability of someone else.
If the cow does not consent to you taking the last little bit of milk (she can't consent) then it's exploitation.
When you say "she doesn't mind and you take it" I think that is making a massive assumption of the cow there. Just like if the little girl just stood there as I walked off with the last cup of lemonade and I said "she didn't mind"... (she didn't put up a fight/she didn't protest)
    What do you think?

@avadhootv what you're saying is called appeal to futility. And you'd never apply that to any other area of your life. For example you'd never say sexual assault will never stop let me take part of it as well. If you think about it, animal abuse is easier to phase out than sexual assault, corporations and universities estimate a number of assault cases each year and put aside some money to deal with them because it's not in their power to prevent it. And yet no sensible human says this is not preventable let me take part of it. Let's also look at the claim the other claim, is it really true that it'll never stop? Most of what arvind talks about is modern animal agriculture only started a decades back to feed an increasingly meat eating world, and if we continue this from an environmental perspective our species has no future so we must phase it out at some point. Our diet has always been changing based on the circumstances throughout history. People must've looked at slavery and thought this sort of exploitation will never stop why attempt to stop it, but now it's outlawed, if you think about it, most people despise cruelty towards animals so we can't pre decide anything yet. If you think about everything we have righy now, right from the right to vote, to womens education, to literal freedom and independence for us indians. its because someone imagined a better future and fought against what was normal and accepted by the public. Let's say it is true that humanity will continue to exploit, torture animals for long as it lives, as a non vegan some set of animals every year are being made to go through this and it makes no difference to them whether this is happening at a massive scale, or if it will happen to other animals too. They just want it to stop. If you think of it from the victims perspective, it's happening at a large scale and to others too isn't an explanation that makes it better for them.
It makes the life of a difference to the animals who you don't consume literally. You would be making a real difference by standing up for what you believe is right, leave the world aside.

@@GST6647 I really appreciate your commitment. Currently I work with tribals, fishers, cattle headers who consume meat and dairy. I don't think they are evil or immoral. Infact their practices are deeply rooted in ecology and evolution. They are either apex predators, or because of their hearding activities they maintain local ecosystems. I agree with your point of big commercial modernized ranches and I do avoid meat from such places. But whats cruelty to you is sustainable livelihood for many. Till I am working with them I will live with their moral code. Thats why I said yet. May be in future, if I am not working with them, I will be happy to become vegan.

Either be non vegetarian or vegan. If you are vegetarian, especially so called Sanatan vegetarian, it leads to a habit of lying like that questioner in the video.
