- Hannah Ford preaches the importance of being a versatile drummer. In her first vid release from Kosa 17 she demonstrated Dubstep, the second vid release was "The Funky Chicken" live with the Kosa 17 Combo...now, this third release is for the MAD Fusion/Progressive and Odd Meter lovers.....Hannah is particularly fond of this song "Sleight of Hand & Foot" as it was written by her good friend and former Pandorum bandmate CHICAGO Keyboard legend Frank Lucas who also performed on the track along with amazing CHICAGO bassist Barry Kleiber.
Don't know why I even bother to read any comments on CZcams. To all of this girl's critics: where are your videos? She's doing something she loves and is sharing it, which could inspire other budding musicians to do the same. She's making money, gets free gear, and is able to travel and play in front of large numbers of people...I would love to be doing the same with percussion, but instead of hating, I will work harder on my chops and continue to play for free (as long as the drinks are free), and watch as many videos of talented people putting themselves out there so that I may learn some scrap of information that might make me better. Good job Hannah...keep it up.
I agree. The majority that would criticize her performance likely cannot play nearly as well as her. Jealous perhaps?

There are a few GREAT Female drummers on CZcams and im a fan of some, but for different reasons. Hannah is a great Drummer, but what i love about watching her performances is that she shows PASSION for what she is doing.....she feels it out loud with her face and body expressions and that is refreshing to see.

I love her energy and she's an amazing drummer technically too, it's not a waste of energy if you're having fun and expressing yourself...
Amazing is an understatement..the energy, passion, and dedication that got her where she is today is an inspiration to us all..She is carrying the 'torch' for future generations...and giving and receiving pleasure doing just that.
This is rather unordinary to me, going beyond talent into a realm of gift that only God knows... Amazing! And does it all with a smile.

Too many people putting her down. Question, can you play as well as her? If you say yes then it should be you everyone is talking about. It not then please dont pass an opinion as your not qualified enough. Me, id say, hanna thanks for so wicked chops and ideas. I think you rock!
The only thing I can say to people who want to hate or who say "she's only famous because of her looks", is try learning this song front to back and tell me how easy it is. It's not at all. Besides, I'd rather listen to a drummer who isn't afraid to go ham and pound the living hell out of the drums than the drummer with the best chops in the world but plays like a robot. :) She has to be doing something right if PRINCE himself recruited her to be in his band!!

+Ty Del Rose No, Prince is notorious, since the 80s, for hiring cute girls that can't play. When she starts playing on hit records, then you know something's good. I don't see anyone hiring her to play on movie soundtracks, jingles, or hit records! I can hear why.
+OddMeeter She's 25, dude... She's got plenty of life left to grow as all musicians do. Did Neil Peart or John Bonham ever play on jingles or "hit records" besides the ones they did with their own bands? I rest my case :)
A) Neil Peart is not a pro level drummer. B) yes, Bonham was a top session drummer in London prior to Zeppelin
Sheila E, I'm sure ( being the professional that she is)-would not attempt to diminish the performance of another such talented and gifted drummer like Hannah Ford. Any musician who attempts to insult another musician for whatever reason - well seems immature to me. You sound great Hannah!

I started looking up on utube kids who can play rock there several then started checking out the girls .senri is her name in Japan there were others from Taiwan senri is so fast then there were several young American girls that can shred a trap set .but Hannah is in a league of her own her jazz style is schooled watching her is easy on the eyes of course no drummer her age puts there heart and soul into her playing I think she's the best on the planet easy

what in like about her is she is versatile, has grt quality of sound; she has 4 yrs of god highschool druming in a big barss band and has learned from good quality teachers there. she is only begining to find her own style and will develop more new and original tecniques as she goes along. plus she does not come across as a manish woman. or lesbo. she has all the qualities of a female. and she has this really enchanting smile on her face showing she is enjoying her self! very refreshing. one of the best drummers i have seen in a while! plus she still has humility! GBH! bravo

I played drums for 27 years. Had to retire in the '80 because of a bitch wife. I retired last year. Bought myself A set of Yamaha dtx. At 63, I appreciate young drummers helping me to learn again!

For as many times as she has performed that same solo (and many more times practiced), you'd think she'd be a tad cleaner.
Of course Prince likes good looking women but if she wasnt up to his high standards she wouldnt be playing with him.

i would use her in my band,she is good once she warms up.
I personally think she is a fine drummer. I'm personally not a fan of the 20 inch sticks heights the entire time. All and all, she executed everything very well.
