Bravo !!!!! Greetings from South Italy !
Thank you, this is very helpfull
I vigorously tested this camera and not only is it terrible in low light it's terrible in good light. It's a fun camera that is it!
Thanks for the great video, just got my Inta 360 x3 for my birthday. going to be using it mainly for Drag Racing at night, where it is dark but there are bright lights around the quarter mile. Hopefully I can make some suitable adjustments to get some epic shots :)

Hi .One question.
What video setting should I use on a motorcycle?
If it is in standard mode, the video burns out in strong sunlight.
Can it be used in HDR?
Thanks for your answer Zsolt
Thank you
Merano is beautiful🥰
I hate seeing videos like this because it makes me go back to places I shot videos on that could have been done better ugh 😂😂 welp! Another vacation I go! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Complimenti. ps: belle le riprese a Merano!
Great tutorial!! Thanks for sharing this. Did you use the single lens or 360 lens when shooting? Thanks 😄👋
Mostly 360
Thank you for the helpful video! This year I‘m planing a trip to Thailand to visit the Festival of lights. Do you have any recomendations on which setting to use in this kind of lighting?
Probably you should use manual exposure settings for low light conditions - the settings I show in this video
Merano, che bella città.
How would you change your advice if I wanted to know optimal camera settings for low light with the OneR 1" edition? With the larger sensor, does that change the need for ISO or shutter speed to be configured as you described in the video?
Similar settings - but even with the 1“ I would not go higher than 800 ISO
So what if your shooting fireworks what would you set your settings for
Can we use insta360 X3 For cave (son doong cave, vietnam) photography and videography, if yes , please suggest some settings
Right now EV value is adjustable, which value I should choose for low light condition?
Which gimbal / stabiliser did you use?
Hey, I am stumbling over this video in search of a way to prevent stuttering when filming in very bright light, eg on the mountains. When I pan over a scenery it stutters so much. I have the feeling the camera shortens the shutter speed to not overexpose. At this point with a drone or proper camera you would put a nd filter on to retain the smooth video. Is there anything I can do in the camera settings or in post to get rid of it. Even the most advanced features for retiming in davinici resolve studio (optical flow+speedwarp) don't really help. Does 25fps vs 30fps differ much? I shot everything in 25fps to this point. Cheers!
Intéressant
Hello, can you please tell me how to enable night mode?
The Insta X3 is the best
Good
Hi do u change EV ? Thanks
Magic!.. I don’t have to upgrade to 1 Inch Leica to save money 🙏🏻👍🏻😃, these settings are very great! 😃, btw if compare to OneRS which one is better in low light between X3 vs OneRS?. thank you 🙏🏻
there is almost no difference - perhaps the X3 slightly better
@@MountMediaChannel oh ok, thank you so much for the reply.. sometimes I confuse which one to bring.. 🙏🏻😁
Great video bro! 🙏🏾🫡
Very helpful. Thank you. Where was the video shot?
Merano, Italy
@@MountMediaChannel Thank you. It looks an interesting town.
Supaya video tidak bulat pake mode apa?
No denoiser in post?
Kann man das Preset C1 umbennen in z.B. Low Light?
thanks to mention that a shooting in low light should get low light movie ;)
currently using insta360 go x2 on low light . here my settings 5.7k 30fps, 200iso, 1/120ss but my low light is horrible, blur, when i adjusted higher ss it starts to flickering. =(
What camera are you recording your videos with?
Sony a74
What are the setting for the cloudy weather condition or in a rainy weather?
Hi Robin, normally there is still enough light when it is cloudy or raining to shoot with the automatic settings, i.e. in 5.7K/30 or 24 and an automatic shutter speed. At least if you are shooting outdoors and in daylight. Maybe set a maximum ISO value of 400 or 800.
@@MountMediaChannel Thanks for the detailed information. Tell me one more thing, Are sticky lens cap useful? Due to some scratches on the lens cap I am getting better results.
Which camera good for low light shooting?
Higher frames while mountain biking downhill get grainy too so better to do 24 or 25 fps
how to specify a maximum iso in the camera?
In the ISO settings on the far left
Your voice is so relaxing, is it just me.
Are you also from Merano?
yes
Excellent tutorial, but unfortunately X3 is not meant for low light shooting especially if you are moving. Too much noise overall.
even in 50hz countries a 24fps will not flicker as most places now use LEDs.
Can someone summarize plz
...is now very good, but there is an disadvantage....
oh now i want to get the insta free 60 X free
Do you recommend turning the stabilization off in low light mode?
No - but you should know that it won't work as efficiently
✅🍓🇩🇰
the bandwith still doesn't allow for usable low light footage. if the camera is moving it's even worse the footage still looks like trash and it's not remotely usable with any client work. what we need is a legit 360 camera with a decent sensor.
I have an x3 and I totally agree. I planned to use it at weddings for the party but it's absolutely horrible in low light. The x3 is an amazing device but we need a much better sensor. As far as I can see the 1 inch version doesn't cut it either
@@MrRhodri80 it doesn’t, that price tag is disgusting the video looks the same. Now insta360 did give me a huge case of goodies, and they’re aware cuz I complain a lot 😂😂😂 but I work raves man, and even with a 180 degree led wall bigger than a small American town, it’s still sht. Quick cuts and sadly that’s it. I think the x3 might be a litttttttle better than the one rs, but soon as a strobe or laser fires it’s mush - even when I’m not moving it
@@MrRhodri80parties??? Bro you really need to read which purposes are these cameras for... mainly sports but parties cmon..
It’s a consumer grade camera, you get what you pay for.
Thanks for these great tips! Can't wait to try them out.
Exposure value is determined by shutter speed not the frame rate. Frames per second rates are independant of shutter speed values in video cameras. You can record in 30 fps or 24fps with the same shutter speed of 1/100th second, thus having the same exposure value. 24, 25 and 30fps are legacy system frame rate standards. It is true, that mechanical film cameras used to have the shutter speed set at half the frame rate of moving film (also known as "180 degrees" value), but in video all that has changed. Only some higher end video cameras allow to set shutter speed in degrees ralated to fps.
I just bought an X3 because of the new Invisible Dive Case. To say the X3 is terrible in low light is un understatement - compared to the GoPro Max (which I tested side-by-side): it's chalk and cheese. Both manual settings, etc. etc. X3 @ ISO 100 is not even noisy it's complete sh*t. Export wide @ 200mbit PRORES doesn't matter. I would return the X3 if I hadn't already destroyed the packaging... Regret.
youre a clown.😂😂😂
You’re wrong about " the higher the frame rate the smoother and better resolution.
Frame rate is not related with quality unless cam records at certain bit rate per sec at specific frame rates.
The lower the frame rate the smoother. 24fps is the standard for cinematography due to the natural motion blur similar to the one our eyes can see and the most natural one.
Hi, we'd like to collaborate with you! How can we get in touch?
Hi, just contact me on my business mail: MountMedia.studio@gmail.com
Do you have an instagram account?
So sorry! Just found it :) went to your about section instead of the description of this video. Thank you so much for creating this, Werner!
This was a great video! Most of my footage is at night in Thailand, but the bars are bright and filled with neon. Will these settings work for me? I need something flexible but I can't be messing with the X3 once I'm "In the field" . It has to be set it and forget it. I've noticed that a lot of my footage is grainy at night. Especially in my last video.
