NASCAR has been my dream I’m 16 and I looove gokarting I just don’t know how to handle the marketing and stuff and all the complicated stuff I just want to race😫😫
Edit: It’s been a while hasn’t it well since this comment just turned 18 iv lost 70 lbs (I was overweight when this comment came out) and iv been into bodybuilding ever since (my career paths are now acting and boxing but nascar will always be in my soul)

This is all huge information no matter what form of motorsports you pursue. Heck even if it’s not motorsports. The current generation of young people need to learn this stuff. I appreciate you for being someone to step up and put the truth out there. This stuff changes people whether we know it or not 🤟🏻

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND!!! haha
I doubt you’ll see this but I’m 17 I’ve always had the thought in the back of my mind to race nascar but I’ve never had the money or any idea on how to even start racing and so I kinda gave up on it for a while, but recently I’ve really felt like it’s something I should really try to do and I know I’m good at figuring out Motorsport, I may not be the fastest but from my little experience with racing sims and driving in real life on back roads with my friends, I learn very quick, the second time driving my buddies 350z I slid it for a second in the back of a parking lot before we went out, while we were driving up the mountain I sent it around a corner a little to hard on the breaks and the back end came loose, and just from that few minutes in the parking lot I instantly knew how to save the car and keep on going, and in my own car (fwd piece of junk lol) on the way up the mountain I was very slow and couldn’t get a grip on the fwd driving dynamics, but on the at down it just clicked, rotate the car off throttle then pull it through the corner on throttle, by the end of the day I was leading everyone instead of being left by everyone. Anyways, I’m afraid I’m a bit too late to start racing in a series like nascar, like I know there’s cheap cars, but when I do things I like to go big and I feel like racing as a hobby would be cool (obviously I know you don’t just jump Into a cup car) but it being a job would be insane... any thoughts.
I’m here because I just turned 17 2 days ago and I realized that no matter how old you are, you can still start and make it up to a top series
Good luck everyone! Hope to see you on the track
I am saying in confidence you will see me on track but after alot of time
@rinkerthemaker thanks man as Indian i think it will really hard to get in exfinity series in thr first place bruh
Hey Anthony. Watching this a year later and it has really helped me. I have been racing karts lately and now I am planing on getting a bandolero to race at my local track. Thanks!

I’m slowly trying to accomplish my dream. I took a different approach as I raced ATVs on flat tracks and TT tracks to get my feet wet, now I’m a b class Iracer trying to work my way into the coca cola series. If I ever get to a point where I end up with an opportunity to drive a late model on a real track it will be a dream come true.
I'm 13,turn 14 in August, and my dream is to a nascar driver. Thank you for giving real info
Thank you Anthony this video really helped and your definitely right no other driver has ever made a video explaining how you could get involved in the sport I’ve been wanting to race since I was a little kid and this video helped me a lot and if I’m ever fortunate and lucky enough to get into the sport I wanna help people live their dreams and help them like you helped me 💯
You are so spot on Anthony I got into racing open wheel modified I bought the best equipment I could as far as helmet suit shoes all were Simpson.
i'm 15 now planning to become a nascar driver
Same here trying to become the 1st native American driver
Yeah I’m 15 just turned it 20 days ago. And I’ve recently discovered my love of nascar. It would be a dream but some of this is just confusing and idk if my parents will let me do my dream
same but im 13 so see u on the track
@@southwestlimitedproduction9738 Go through the Driver Diversity program! they will pick you up
Good luck! I'm also trying to be a NASCAR driver
This was really helpful. I’ve had no idea how to start and this will really help me. Especially since you started at 15 that gives me confidence to actually accomplish something.
Thank you so much for making this video. My son wants to be a NASCAR driver some day. The advice in this video helps to know where to start taking the first steps in reaching that dream. He shared this video with me. He constantly watches CZcams videos of old races. He has even changed work schedule to be home to catch races.
im sure im too old 31 but this has been a dream of mine currently just using iracing for now
I’m In the same boat. 24. Everything and everyone’s saying it’s too late for me unless I have millions but. Idc. Let’s go for it bro. Make it happen
Just wish I had a mentor, if I had the right opportunity I would devote my soul and life to nascar.
As an 14 yr old Singaporean kid looking to get into karts here with Italcorse Asia or any teams this is a really good vid.
Glad it helped!
Some people think that I’m stupid when I say that I want to be profesional driver, but quite the contrary. I’m that one straight A student who’s on the math team and other academic after school groups. You see, the first day I ever raced was when I was 7. I had a friend who’s dad worked at a car shop and had modified some go carts to go up to 35 mph. We raced around our development and I felt on top of the world. It’s the best feeling I’ll ever get. The moment when it’s just you and the wheel, and nothing else matters and you can pour your heart out and let every worry, fear, and struggle go. Wish me luck, as I do to you all🥲
Hey man I appreciate the advice. I’ve been researching a lot about nascar drivers recently thanks for the advice bro 👌🏻
I'm happy it helped!
Future female NASCAR driver here, So excited for the future and this video was so helpful.
Get it girl!!! We need to show these men that we can drive!
(I compete in Outlaw Super Late Models currently)
🤮
@thegreat1548 d1 hater
Thank you very much for posting that video. I am 15 now and still have not been able to get started in racing yet. I was beginning to think I was too late if I wanted to be in the national series, but after I heard that you were in a legends car at 15, maybe I might not be too far behind :)
I've been watching NASCAR since i was 5 and racing competitive when i was 10 on the sim, but no on track experience yet. This video helped me
Thanks for this, I was really unsure of how to even start something like this, I’m 17 now and I’ve never really started before so this is helpful, I really enjoy driving karts in the 10 or so times I’ve done it and I was wondering what I should do to really commit to learning and how to climb up the racing ladder so this video game me a lot of insight, thanks!
Cool video! I love racing and really want to become a NASCAR driver one day. It is just a very expensive sport. I'm still young though so I using all your tips I'm starting in go karts! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
My son and I do arrive and drive at Mosport Karting in Bowmanville Ontario. We have been doing this for for 3 seasons and Ryder my son has been very well both on and off track. Lots of podiums and many friends made for us both. Well not so much on the podium for me. lol. Having said this, fantastic video and Ryder is actually going to use this as a bit of a reference for a school speech for his Grade 5 class. Thanks again. Jeff and Ryder
So glad it was informative. Good luck with the racing and I hope his speech goes well too!
Thanks man, been building and racing go karts since I was little, about to turn 15 and buy my first legend car, I work as a baby sitter, I work for a landscaping firm, and I own a clothing company, so I can finally almost afford one thanks for the advice.
I may be 10 but my dream is to become a racer and nothing will stop me when im older
im gonna reply to this comment in a few years so u c this agian

I may not be in your league but these tips can apply to career opportunities in life as a student and maybe a singer. Honestly, I love this content because it's very informative!
Thank you I’m 11 and nascar has always been my dream but I never knew how to do it so this helped a lot
Thank you! I was there when you flipped @ Kansas.
im 15 almost 16 and its my dream to participate in nascar and i asked myparents since im like 5 that i wanted to start in karting and al that but they always told me its to dangerous and they dont want to loose me cus my mom had a miscarage befor i whas born
myenamesbacon Dude Nascar is working very hard to make their cars safe. I know nascar seems dangerous but injuries do hurt but what hurts more is not accomplishing your dreams!
I'd rather die racing nascar than not doing it at all
I’ve always wanted to get into karting, but we never have the money. My dad had a double lung transplant and everything has just been really bad timing for my family.
As a big fan of nascar I’m actually interested in becoming a Nascar driver even though I’m Mexican it’s always been one of my biggest dreams.
Being Mexican has nothing to do with it. Just try
Race has nothing to do with it brother, do you my man, race stereotypes are stupid

Anthony Alfredo you did help I can walk a quarter a mile down the road (I live in the country) and there is a local racing shop not a nascar but still really cool and right now I have to figure out if I wanna do this yet

Great video. You're clearly a talented driver that loves to race. I've seen you race In alot do cars now. You were running so strong in the RCR Xfinity car. I know it would be difficult to pass up the opportunity to drive a cup car, but I wonder would you have been better staying down in Xfinity in a quality ride vs the cup car where you're clearly better than the equipment you're driving. I certainly hope you get a better cup ride or a top Xfinity or truck ride where you can run up front weekly.
"Make sure to factor in your safety equipment"
*Laughs in autocross*
My entire budget for safety equipment last year was $20 for an old helmet lol
this helped a lot!! my dream is to become a racer and i wasnt sure how to do it, but now I do!
hows it going so far?
Good racing at Kentucky bud! Ty for the tips
So much good info in this video!
I am 14 rn I heard some other nascar drivers started at the same age I am at but the big thing I am worried about is the money not that I am poor or anything but I hope I compete against u
Thank you so much
You forgot an important step. Have a lot of money
No I didn't. Maybe you didn't watch the whole video. That was step 3: sponsorship.
I watched the whole video. Sponsorship helps but if you don’t have a lot of your own money you won’t get much farther than go kart racing.
@@djaycock3453 fair statement depending on what kind of racing you do after karting. Also, many who have self-funding don't pursue sponsorship and then their career is over before it hardly even gets started. The sooner you can secure sponsorship and funding to go race, the better. Mainly because you can build those relationships larger as you continue to grow throughout your career.
Anthony Alfredo yeah I get what you mean. Anyway good luck this year in Xfinity. Hope to see you in Cup one day
@@AnthonyAlfredo I have a new hobby and want to start as a tuner but for me I want to do it for fun lol 😂.
Great video! I've been flipping pc's to make money so I can hopefully rent out rides next season.
That's awesome! Stick to the grind and it will pay off.
did you rent any rides this season?
@@krspy8849 No, my parents are 60ish (still live with them) and covid is around. I just decided to save up my money from flipping pc's, my two jobs and I plan on running a full season at Langley in Legends depending on how Covid goes in 2021.

See you on track in a few years!!
Great info!!!
im currently in the Navy and love driving, I do enjoy racing my friends and would love to get into racing and eventually get a sponsorship.
I’m 11 years old and I have gone to k1 speed a bunch of times... the first time I gone I was a natural and since then I’ve been climbing the ranks in adult racing, last time I raced other than today was about 1 year ago and I was ranked about 500 in adults I’m trying to keep up but I am getting into airside now, thanks for letting me know some info because I might go back to racing soon!!

Keep at it and I'm glad you found the video to be helpful!
This really helped me
It’s all about connections and who you know. You can be extremely skilled but you got to have the connections as well.
As with any business or industry, networking is key. You can never truly 'know' too many people. Also, it's important you stay in touch with those since you never know when your paths may cross again.
Dope video. You're genuine and a good guy. I think I met you already. #UNCC
Thanks!
I’m 12 and I want to race little stock cars and this sure helped
I am a college student studying business, is 24 years old too late to have aspirations to be a professional nascar driver. I have been writing out a plan these past two weeks with my free time!
I’m wondering the same thing as me being 24 also and I wonder if that’s to late or not ?
@@TayWildinme too yal. I’m 24. Always wanted to be a race car driver but no real opportunities growing up. But I still think it’s somehow possible.
This is perfect for me because there is a stock car track in my town
I have 3 near me but I'm doing dirt for now
Ay Anthony this is my dream and the video was posted on my birthday
I was racing you at Bristol on iRacing Anthony. You were racing with someone who had a pro license and you guys were 1st and 2nd and I unfortunately got stuck in 4th behind a slower car and I could just tell me you and im assuming your friend lol, would have had a great 1 2 3 race. It was just my lack of will to boot that 3rd place guy that costed me to race with you guys.
I want to become a nascar driver I’m 18 so let’s hope what the future got for me !
14 rn, planning to make my first race at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas for the Lone Star 600 this October when I’m 15. Thx for the advice and god bless✌🏻
That is awesome to hear and good luck!
LilRandoff lol no. Insurance and waivers
LilRandoff you need insurance in case you get hurt. Your parents need to sign a waiver since your underage which is a paper that lets the track know that they are okay with letting their kid race despite the chance of getting hurt
LilRandoff racing license is a license to race on track. Race license and drivers license are different. Racing licenses are for higher rankings like SCCA or FIA or NASCAR
Sami Yahya Lol do you even have any racing experience?
You should make a video on how nascar drivers drive, from the feet to the shoulder
This is actually a year later , great video 👍
I told my uncle (Who is a hall of famer whos won 450 races over his career) that i wanted to race and he straight up told me to hop into his OSLM and get used to it. Then, i ran a 2 races in 2020 at local tracks and ran in the top 5. Now im looking towards competeing in the 2023 Revael the Hammer OSLM series. Just depends on if i can get over this stupid illness ive had for almost a year now....
I’m 13 and doing dirt oval right now and I’m hoping to do NASCAR in the future or sprint cars
@rinkerthemaker eh pretty good
Use to do kart racing as a kid when I was 13 then stop over growing up and as a kid it was all a dream to become a racer , now I am 20 and look back and tell myself dang… Racing is in my blood but I feel like it’s too late now to even at least give it a shot…
Well, its a little difficupt now with covid, and I dont understand this very much (im not english) but I will try and I hope to see some of you guys in the tracks ;)
Until now I felt like I was starting late and wouldn’t be able to compete(I’m 17)
I’m 26 and if I succeed I hope people will get inspired
I don’t know many go kart track around Northeast Mississippi however I’m pretty confident in my abilities. I know racing lines and all that stuff from years of racing games. I even know a dirt track near me in Guntown about 20mins from my house. I’m confident if I got started in the lowest class and got used to the car and the track I could win but my problem is. 1 my parents they don’t want me to do it. 2 how am I supposed to get a car and then I don’t even know where to start with sponsors.
Ive wanted to race ever since I got my first die cast however money has always been the problem and the fact that my parents are literally blind to the fact that racing is all I really know about and can see myself doing day in and out to keep my head straight but getting able to go find karting or opportunity is hard because all the tracks are expensive and half a days drive just to get to im currently 20 and it feels like a clock is ticking
In the same boat as you man. I live down the road from a nascar track but there is no way to get into the sport from here.
All my local tracks have a minimum age of 16. But I might be able to get in at 15 if I race dirt tracks
It’s worth trying even if you don’t make it to nascar it is a very fun hobby
This video helped a lot I’ve seen your progress to the cup series and I’m planning on getting a iracing set up because I don’t live near any karting tracks or any short tracks. I’m also 13 and I’m trying to study all a I can during races in person and on tv.
Im Mexican and in the city I live is like only 1 track or 2 so it’s pretty difficult but I’m gonna still try it
@USTE PRRO :v se que hablas español Xd así que pues ósea no vivo exactamente en la Ciudad de México y en donde vivo como dije Nd más hay una posta de go karts y es para ir con tus compás y así y si no me equivoco hacen torneos locales
Always wanted to race since I was 12-13 back in 2017-18
Me and some friends are making a little dirt track in my backyard so we can do dirt bike racing lol
Have you ever had any difficulties when you started from the bottom, into kart racing 🏎
What about (slightly older like, early to mid twenties, success stories like, Mark Martin, Chase Briscoe) to start racing?
I’m Australian and race the proper proper Karts, is there anything in Australia to give it a try
You are really friendly in the career mode in nascar videogames!!! btw: if I live in spain and I want to be a nascar driver, would it be harder??
There are NASCAR drivers from other countries! For example Daniel Suarez races in the NASCAR Cup Series and he is from Mexico.
@@AnthonyAlfredo Nice, I hope I can become a NASCAR driver one day!!
Just seeing your performance in QUAKER STATE 400
The intro is lit!
Thanks! I'll have to update it to the Xfinity car once we start racing!
Anthony Alfredo As usual I cannot wait!
I thought you needed to go to racing school and get a license...... Well that just made it easier for me but I became a professional driver the other way. I got my CDL and run Semi Tractors for a living. But I do wanna race. I used to be a street racer and can handle a 2017 Roush Mustang at full Throttle
Hey Anthony, I’m 15 right now and I’m pretty good at kart racing, do you think my next step would be to purchase a legend car and get involved in some racing comps?
I’m 19 and want to get into racing where should I start ?
I’m 13 and have been thinking about doing this for a while. I don’t have a cart track around where I live, and they don’t race anything at Martinsville except race weekends. I have a wheel and pedals but I do not have any money to do I racing, so I am in a hole.
Save up for the wheels and pedals as iRacing would be your best start!
Hi Anthony, I'm hoping at some point in the future to enter an Arca race at Daytona or Talladega. Do you have any advice on how I can reach that stage? I've never raced and I'm 21, am I too late?
Instructions unclear, I turned out to work for NASA and lost everything to do it.
darnit i hate when that happens
working at NASA? that’s good
what about in los angeles california or michigan
I cant find good karting stuff near Dakota areas
Thank you for supporting Lacy Kuehl and Drive for Diabetes Awareness, inc
My pleasure! It's the least I can do.
hey i want to be in nascar but im in Canada is there any way todo this in Canada
Super cool information. But I want to know is how do you become a NASCAR truck driver?
Same applies. Truck Series and Xfinity Series are both part of the three national series alongside the Cup Series. They are also stepping stones/developmental series for the Cup Series.
I’m trying real hard not to give up on this dream of mine. But I’m 24. Broke with zero racing experience other than sims. I’m putting this here because maybe there’s a chance I’ll actually reach my goal. To anyone else who’s in the same boat as me. You’re not alone. Let’s make it happen. Somehow
I wish i could be a nascar racer
Hello Anthony are you excited about starting the season again
Absolutely!
