You guys are lucky, I’m not even from EEUU, I’m Mexican and NO ONE from my class knows Hamilton (or that’s what i believed), there’s the thing: there’s a girl in my class named Elizabeth, so everyone calls her Eliza, but i’m mexican so, they don’t call her Elaiza (try to read that like a mexican, only just you can get what i’m saying), just Eliza, bc the “i” in mexico sounds like the “e” in Eeuu. One day, my friend called her Elaiza (in english) and then i heard that, i scream “AND PEGGY” and then, a boy of my class screams “THE SCHUYLER SISTERS” and we started to sing the whole song, he’s my boyfriend now :v
