I seriously love the blue light aesthetic on the anvil. It gives it a whole nother vibe.

I have finally begun the process of learning to blacksmith. I’m a staunch Christian and am absolutely thrilled to see another believer in the trade which I imagine historically was common. I’m currently putting together my shop buying my anvil hopefully next week. The first thing I will make is a cross. Subscribed brother.

Perhaps studs on the plate imbedded in the anvil would work. Again, the lighting is wonderful...

Thank you for the compliment! Stud's might work but also might be potential stress risers... might need to test it

@@ChristCenteredIronworksbent plate with two sides that hug the sides of the Ice anvil. Won’t need to be drilled or pounded into the ice block. Just slipped on over the top.

At 38 sec you have the proof for preheating your anvil! You have clear evidence of her cracking 😂😂😂😂! Forge on brother! What is life without a little humor? Laughter is good medicine. May God continue to bless you, your family, and your work.

With that steel plate moving around, we should call it a popsicle

You should have preheated the anvil and the plate might have stuck better lol

I'd have thought the heat transfer from the work piece would eventually freeze the steel plate to the anvil. As usual, I'd have been wrong.

This anvil definitely defies most folks expectations 🙂 which I couldn't be happier about 🎅🏼🥶💨🌨️

    You're not forging on ice.
