OH YOU GUYS!!! She is PRECIOUS!! Oh I'm so happy for you!! Of what I've learned from my girlfriend that adopted internationally I know the transition is hard. During the hard moments just remember you are amazing and it will be worth all the effort. I'm SO proud of you for sharing your story to encourage others and show the beauty of adoption. Yes all adoption starts from pain/loss...but look how much beauty can come from it. YAY yay YAY!! Eek so happy for you guys!
Thank you so much! It has been one of the hardest things we've ever done but definitely the most rewarding! She's only been home with us a few days and already she has molded herself right into our family like she has always been here ❤️

I remember how happy my parents are , when they talk about my adoption. I was adopted in age of 3 months from Vietnam. Every second in my life I am so grateful being in Germany and have such a wonderful life and such an amazing family.😍👩🏻
I have heard that adopt from vietnam right now cost about 25k, might be less when your parents adpot you, do u even know how to speak your birth mom native language anymore?

seeing her cry is the hardest part of adoption, they get so close to their carers and its heartbreaking to see cry but its fir a better future, shes got such a good caring beautiful family
Kids above one year are old enough to be aware that things are drastically changing but don't understand what's exactly happening. Especially if they are intelligent and sensitive (like this girl) that can be very scary for them and crying is then unavoidable. I'm afraid it's part of the adoption process but once they feel secure and comfortable they will quickly adapt to the new situation.

so emotional. such a hard moment for all of them! the parents wanting to hold her and she was just scared. Poor baby girl did not know what was happening. Then daddy was all traumatized cause she was crying, so much love. I am so glad this baby girl was lucky enough to be adopted into a loving family. Makes me think of all the others that never do.

I finally took the guts to watch the very first video of how Meimei come about into your beautiful family. She was grieving a lot but I can tell you guys are totally sincere because look at how far she's come. Her personality now is so big and silly! I feel so thankful just from watching this and I can't even fathom how YOU guys would feel every time you recall the first time she met you. I'm so happy you found each other, match made in heaven! I'm so touched to see how involved the Daddy is. It's a nice sight to see.

I have seen more recent videos of Scarlett and she seems to be doing great but these nannies make it so much harder. She kept walking away. When the parents had their hands out she would just sit there. I think the director had to say ok give her to them already. 5 mins, 20 mins an hour it is inevitable there will be a hard adjustment.
My heart just broke into a million pieces when I saw this little girl's reluctant introduction to her new mother and father. I can't imagine what must have been going through their mind when their new little girl denied them initially. But what a thrill for them when she fell asleep in their arms! They're going to be good parents, and Scarlett is just as lucky. I wish them all the very best in their new life together as a family!
I don't know why I just cried when I watch this over and over again, this is pure love.

My eyes were teary through the whole video. Another child gained a wonderful family. All three of you were so shy at the beginning, it was precious. It's ok that she was a little bit sad at the beginning - it means she had a very good care at the orphanage. Scarlett couldn't dream of a better parents than you, guys. You've made my day much brighter (my day, but her life;)), it warms my heart so much. I just can't wait to see when she meets her brother and sister!
Congratulations guys! I can imagine that was a bit scary for everyone at first. I think Scarlett seemed tired right away, so glad she was comfortable and smiling in just a few hours! She is a very blessed little girl to have you as parents

I'm 67 I swear I'm not going to watch any more adoption videos any more. It makes me cry. Because it makes me sad that they are orphans and happy because there are so many wonderful and loving people who give these children love affection and a chance to live a normal family life. I watch these adoption videos, now during the pandemic in May 2020 and it returns my beleif in LOVE AND KINDNESS. I wish all adopted children a good life and love!!

Medina Rae in this case it was done badly because the nanny didn’t actually pass her over soon enough. if she knew them for longer it would have been more confusing for her and much more stressful. it looks sad but it’s how every amazing adoption story starts
She is an angel, its scary for Scarlett at first, but she feels safe and secure and loved by you two and Kingston and Violet, its beautiful.
Her name fits her so well. She's magical. Easily one of the prettiest little girls I've ever seen and that smile at the end … that was worth waiting for. I believe those little hands of hers will change lives one day. Thank you for bringing your daughter home. I know how grueling and frustrating and hard on the heart it is to wait wait and … oh yes … keep waiting. We too have taken this journey more than once and I was a China born adoptee myself many moons ago. If I could offer you one bit of advice … please give her roots that grow deep into your family tree and wings to take the long journey back one day to see where she came from. Encourage her always to continue the trend of adoption when she is ready one day. If we grow that desire in others, less children will sleep in loneliness. God bless you, little one.

I watched this video several times..each time with tears rolling down my cheeks..could it be the song? ..I just realized today (5hours to settle down?)..that by crying this little Angel was receiving what she craved from her time of birth..to be lovingly held, hugged, rocked, lovingly sang to without being ignored, nor scolded ..she craved the most basic of human needs without judgement..T.Y. It was hard for Mei at first but it's all for her after all for her to have a loving and caring family who will provide her with all the best she couldn't have in China. To know you did everything so this beautiful little girl can have a piece of family love and a bright future,no words can describe it. The joy of giving a lost homeless child everything is wonderful,worth all the money spent and over a year of waiting

11:17 - that FIRST smile !. I bet that smile instantly wiped-out all memories of the hours of crying - and what a smile !. Beautiful wee-lassie with really stunning eyes, she's gonna be a heart-breaker that's for sure !. Mum & Dad were really good too, gave her plenty of time and space until she got used to them and plenty of hugs and kisses to assure her that she's loved - sweet couple !

@@ernstwernertressart6923 Wrong. Anyone who has gone through adoption will tell you there are traumatic situations for the adoptive parents as well, and this is an example of that.
I love seeing video of her now and comparing it to this. She has adapted so seamlessly in such a short amount of time, becoming an independent, secure little girl with a big (English!) vocabulary! It truly seems she was meant to be part of your family.

The nanny doing the hand-over must be new to her job. She seem to, unknowingly perhaps, drag out the handover process until she was told by a voice in the background to just hand the kid over to the adopted parents and get the hell out. This should be the right procedure instead of prolonging the agony and pain for a baby leaving someone familiar to a stranger. I'm sure she meant well in sympathising with a scared and shell-shocked baby.
yeah i’ve watched a lot of these and it’s better they get passed straight into their arms crying than introduced slowly from the nanny’s. they’ll forget about the crying really quickly, they won’t forget about the confusion and stress they’ll associate with the parents
