OMG This brings back such happy memories. The happiest time in my life was married to a farmer and helping out at lambing.
What happened
@@ky_pie238 He passed away. It was a family owned farm so I quietly just moved back to a house I owned in the nearest town. I think his family were happy I wasn't the type to try and lay claim to any part of the farms. He passed so young and only will was drawn up when he and his brothers and sisters first became joint partners in the farms. My only regret was I kept a full time office job as well as working on the farm and feeding all the workers. I wish I'd been less headstrong and spent more time working at home. 💕

They actually make great pets if you have enough space for them. I always had pet sheep growing up on a small farm. They lived out their lives there and were happy as!

I truely miss all the fun I had growing up on the farm, Sheep, Cattle and pigs can be so much fun and hilariously exciting in a daily life. Much better than being cramped into a city with unhappy people everywhere you go.
Totally agree! I've only lived in a city for a couple very short periods of my life and I didn't like it. Much prefer the fresh country air, birdsong, animals and open spaces. And animals are always happy to see you!

I use to work at a petting zoo. I cleaned up after the animals and pitched hay. There were goats, sheep, chickens,turkeys,pigs,cows and horses. I got to know them as individuals. They were curious, affectionate, friendly and funny. Many of them reminded me of my family pets; the cats and dog I loved. The pigs were very smart and loved belly rubs. The petting zoo owners ran it as a forever home for their animals. Those animals would live out the rest of the lives in safety and comfort.
Wow that's amazing! They certainly do have their own characters. Pigs definitely do love their belly rubs. We used to have pet kune kune pigs (like pot belly pigs) they were awesome! Lovely to have places like that where they can live a full and pampered life.
