    Wow. I'm almost speechless, yet there is so much to say. What a handsome piece that would probably look great with just about any decor style - traditional, contemporary, antique, boho... You won me over by using scraps and not wasting materials, like the chair cushion as an applicator sponge. Brilliant! I love your editing style with some parts sped up, nature sounds, and such clear photography. Seriously outstanding. 👌

    I'm currently living in provincial East Germany and surrounded by beautiful, old furniture that simply needs restoring, and you have just inspired me to do something about it! I'm going to dig out my old Nirvana t-shirt and start with a dull, broken pine book shelf that my wife wants bringing up from the cellar, which I've been avoiding. Thanks for the inspiration, and thanks for including the materials used list.

    Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included czcams.com/users/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.

    • @ModernMakeovers
      @ModernMakeovers  Před 3 lety +7

      Thank you! For bigger brushes (for larger surfaces), Bennett is a good brand. For smaller brushes (for detail painting), I like Winsor & Newton; these are more expensive, but they’re very soft and last a long time - that is if you clean them thoroughly after use and take good care of them :)

      @@ModernMakeovers can you please say how you clean them? Paint, and stain brushes? Do you just use soap and water? Or a chemical? Thank you! LOVE your videos!

    • @ModernMakeovers
      @ModernMakeovers  Před 3 lety +4

      @@janie3117 How a brush is cleaned depends on whether the substance used is water based or oil based. For latex paint (as used in this video), since it is water based, I use warm water and dish soap until no more paint runs out. Same goes for any water based stains. When I’m washing out an oil based poly/stain, I soak them in mineral spirits or paint thinner. 😁
