Perk priority tree: Heavy Gunner Life Giver Nerd Rage Lone Wanderer Bloody Mess Endurance Gun Nut for the Harpoon mod QoL: Strong Back Solar Powered Cap Collector
I originally planned to get the Big Boy to dupe bowling balls later on so I was saving up for that. Turned out to be a complete waste time and of money because of how Aeternus works (or doesn’t). Since there is no point in saving up, you might as well get the upgraded versions as soon as you can.
Something that’s also helpful is while you’re at the robotics disposal center, you can set the sentry bot to self destruct on the terminal in the building, allowing you to get +2 fusion cores
Awesome video! Btw incase anyone sees this and wants to make the build even more powerful, you can buy very good legendaries in far harbor (an instigating harpoon gun from allen, and a crippling flamer from dejen) You can also put the bowling ball launcher attatchement on the big boy (2 shot fatman bought from arturo) And theres a legendary set of t-60 armor (found in the automatron questline) which boosts the damage of energy weapons like the aeturnus by 15%
3 Charisma would get you Lone Wanderer - for even better damage resistence. You can also go for Pack Alpha in Nuka world to increase that to 55% flat damage resistence. Since you can't get the legendary Sentinel's armor prefix, that plus Rooted would be the best you could manage as far as damage mitigation. Toughness won't do all that much better and 5 perk points for a flat 50 damage resistence isn't brilliant. Don't get me wrong Power Armor's tanky as long as the pieces survive... but it's usually not indestructible. If you're doing a gun build, you're gonna be standing still most of the time anyway. (I think one of the DLC's raises LW to 4, but 3 ranks for it is fine. Then 2 to Rooted, and 5 Toughness is 10 levels worth of perk points) It's too bad the ballistic weave doesn't work on Power Armor (You'd think that could've been an interior lining mod like they put on clothing...) Going Solar Powered is also a decent option, if you're patient.
Hey man, your vids are very well done and I hope you get popular soon, but I got a question regarding your fallout 3 vids, how were you able to get high fov?
This is the kick in the ass I need to actually commit to a heavy weapons build. It's too easy to optimize my way out of a fun combat loop by using a degenerate stealth sniper build all the time. When really, what I should be doing is loading up a metal playlist and fight like a real man.
yo, got a question on how well do big guns perform in VATS. How they compare to smaller auto rifles? Im asking since the information about AP costs are limited on the internet
Sorry, others will probably be much more helpful when answering this question as I don’t care about this kind of optimization at the moment and know next to nothing about VATS in F4.
@@poormansproductions2402 i did a run with this build a while ago. i primarily used the legendary explosive smg (i forgot its name) that you can buy from cricket. its actually surprisingly good as a stealth weapon.
Should be if they haven’t made the game more difficult. Ammo is the biggest problem, it would be a different story if you could just spray from the get go like you can with the aeternus
@@poormansproductions2402 The Cryolator is good enough to be worth the downsides and with a lack of competition it is automatically one of the best Heavy Weapons in the game.
Yeah well, fallout 4's heavy weapons are sad and pathetic, easily the least fun in this game. Instead of LMG's and actually strong miniguns you get a peashooter minigun, a 0 range flamethrower that deals about the same damage as a high pressure water valve, and stupid gimmick weapons like bowling ball throwers, weaponized trash compactors and whale hunting equipment that should be one shotting things but does not. Meanwhile the tiny ass covert pistol with a silencer and an ammo caliber smaller than the average pay in kyrgystan 2 shots deathclaws (and most other things) with 0 effort. More dakka? More like no dakka (and bitches).
good video 8/10 but you should have buy admiral friends or sergeant ash🤔

@@poormansproductions2402 i mean you can always duplicate your ammo by doing the ammo storage glitch but otherwise good job

Nice Vid! Just finished a heavy weapons-only build like this.
Swapped End and Int around for the 21 End and maxing strong back for my hoarding side.

That one should’ve been obvious, but I forgot about it anyway. Shredding everything 15% faster is certainly better than just shredding everything.
Not only does it add 15% it looks bad ass too
glad to see you back!
It’s good to be back and it’s hip to be square
I hope this channel gets big.. what a cool editing.. the guy used the same font and color for text that's in fallout.
Спасибо чувак/виха
Using the broadsider for fun in my play through, actually realised just how much of a BEAST it is
Very nice build
cant believe this guy usually gets a thousand views or two but pumps out amazing content

Do you think you could make a heavy gunner on armed survival, build have you gone or being the hardest weapon class and unarmed the hardest melee?
Add the shredder mod to the mini gun. When you're out of ammo it does something cool
Someday i gotta try that basher perk + empty machine gun tech
@@Berlinbower it makes the game easy
Hells yeah

Thanks man, I’m afraid it’s just the FOV console command so I can’t help you if you’re not on PC.

You can actually get MK6 hellfire with the new update at level 1. Just need a fatman and one critical hit.
Oh no, it’s the CC power creep all over again

Do explosives build next

Just farm an Explosive Minigun at NGTY and it's autopilot from there
