you see, the reason is that jap games are only for japs, instead of ntsc and pal games are for the entire rest of the world, and theyre few every year. that explain the prices of some ass resellers going crazy on ebay

as someone who is trying to revive their snes and n64 collection, this depresses me as everything is too overpriced due to all the hipster trash that hoard and gouge old games. Told some of the younger guys to not waste their money unless they already had a good collection of games to start with and just stick with roms.

That’s the problem with the old gaming scene in the USA. People just want to gobble up every single “popular” game they can get their grubby hands on and add to their collection. Dries up the market and allows resellers to thrive.

@@MyGodzilla99as a collector not all resellers are bad it’s different if they have a store or actually are decent people and give some good deals but the ones that have to squeeze every single penny out of something and not just give someone a decent deal when they paid nothing for it who sell out of a garage on Facebook marketplace and other places are scumbags

I love Bookoff and Hardoff. The problem with selling Japanese retro games overseas is that they won't work in PAL systems (Europe, Australia, most of rest of the world) because they're designed to work on NTSC systems. They will likely work in American NTSC systems, but then you also have the Japanese language barrier to play JRPGs.
Second hand Japanese items are usually in immaculate condition because the Japanese really look after their things.

Also, moisture from your breath can actually encourage corrosion of the contacts. Try using isopropyl alcohol next time you have this problem. Best wishes from the UK!

I remember the 90s, and i have been revisiting some SNES games via Switch online on my son's console; in short, many are crap. Kirby is the only good game here to my mind. Maybe I would play the basketball game for a little while, but the slot car game looks really, really tedious. I personally would have gotten Super Ghouls and Ghosts. Super Donkey Kong (Donkey Kong Country) is also absolutely amazing!

Some of Those are like $1 priced in uSD for some of those… been getting them at my local bookoff for like $3 super cheap!! Like the yen price for FFV and DQ6 was less than what unpaid I paid here in US at bookoff which was $3. Dang good prices!!

FEDA is a strategy RPG, similar to SEGA's Shining Force.
