Gave my beardy his first hornworm a couple days ago, and he was so freaking happy
Pretty great as snacks and not the main feeder insect, always pick a few up for my girl around holidays.
One tip worth adding is that if you have a dragon with metabolic bone disease that doesn't want to eat, is asking yourself if the tank is too big. I kept my eldest beardie in a 55 gallon, and the disease affects his legs and tail (though the tail could be unrelated but he's a rescue so we aren't sure) and I tried many different methods to get him to eat, all of them failing. He didn't eat for 3 months, and even if he ate one worm it was cause for celebration since he refused to eat greens at the time. I came across a video where I learned that metabolic bone disease was a thing, and it was suggested that downgrading the tank may help, since it's stressful on the beardie to move around in a large space when either it's unnecessary or just very difficult. Taking this advice proved to be the solution for me, moving him into a 20 gallon long certainly reduced the space he could move around in, but there was immediate improvement, and he's now eating regularly, and eats greens too

My BD did not eat for a year after laying eggs. I have complete lights and i always give her a warm bath every day. What's happening to her and what are the solutions😔

Warm bath and belly rub is a go to if my buddy hasn't pooped in 3 days. It has NEVER failed. Works EVERY time.
I loved the video! My dragon is a very good eater but I decided to watch anyway. He eats a big salad and some feeder insects ( normaly super worms or crickets but I hope to start a dubia colony soon ). I have a temp gun and a good uvb light!
I love my temp gun it's so easy to us. I missed Wednesdays show will look for it today and watch it. GOD BLESS and thank you for all the great advice.

Thank you!! I just got my baby two days ago and she’s only 2 months old. I been stressed out now I have fed her a super worm yesterday , today she had 2 meal worms and a black fly larvae. She has three hides and I been stressed out 😢
Super worms are for adult bearded dragons not baby

So important I think this is a huge source of stress for bearded dragon owners since beardies are supposed to eat basically every day.

What bulb set up would you recommend for a tall tank 18”? We’ve got a uvb bulb, basking lamp and ceramic bulb but I feel like it’s not reaching the lower part of the tank. Not to mention there’s not much space up top to fit all the housing units. My guys not eating much

I cant wait for my new uvb light to show up today my beardie hasnt been eating much and has been having eye problems pretty much everyone said its the uvb light so hopefully this new light fixes the problem and my beardie can finally eat those crickets so they stop chirping at night
Ok i got a baby beardy got a 40gal. Tank starter kit from petco but found that the kit is wrong like the sand and no i didn't use the sand but also got a half log but would you use sand stone, "sanitized to remove outside parasites and other bacteria or different type of rocks?

My beardie is about 4 months old and has been mostly sleeping in her basking spots for the last 2 days and isn't eating. She is also going through a shed is this normal? What time frame should I worry about not eating and being so sleepy?

my beardie has been with us for a few months now, and almost immediately when she got home, she got a parasite. we got her medicated and everything was fine. then she caught the same parasite and we got her medicated again. in the present day, we confirmed the virus yet again, but the breeder said not to medicate her because she may get overmedicated. my mum is basically panicking, and me and my family really just dont know what to do. all i can tell is: she has a virus, and we have a dog and i have a little sibling. i'm not sure if we should just give up or not. can you give u s advice?

My male beardie is 9 months old now. I've been starting to worry because he only eats once every few days now. He has no interest in bugs(roaches) and actually seems to want to escape his feeding tub when its feeding time. I can occasionally get him to eat a bite or two of collard greens. Hi, thanks for the video. Our beardie is about 2 months old. Have owned him for about 3 weeks and he shedded his entire back. He has not had anything to eat for about 1 week now. Is this normal during a shed? We noticed his tail and hind legs are shedding too. He looks thinner and is lethargic and not wanting bask. Is this normal?

I just bought my beardie on Sunday and she’s only eaten maybe 7-8 meal worms and 2 crickets since I’ve had her. She’s still small and I’m worried she’s going hungry. Her basking spot is always at 112. She’s in an exo terra large wide 75 gallon tank.

@@Me-uf7vk hey! So, my dragon just needed time to get adjust and adapt to her new environment. After the first 1.5 week, she got more comfortable and her appetite ramped up. I also handled her a lot and hand fed her to get her used to me and be comfortable. Apparently, my dragon does NOT like wax worms or crickets. I read that Dubias are the more nutritious food for dragons and more ideal. Once she had a taste of dubias, she ate like crazy!!! It’s her favorite. She goes through 200 dubias a week. But I would say, to try dubias (I’m 100% sure that yours will eat it), handle yours a lot, make sure that the temp is at 115-130. And appropriate UVB lighting. I read that if it’s not hot enough, they will also not eat. Also, if yours isn’t a water drinker, put them in a warm bath for 15 min and they will eventually drink from there. Please keep me updated!

Please always take your pet to the vet if you're concerned. It sounds like your bearded dragon has parasites.
