I dont like people shitting on the new grands. as a real jeeper with an off road rig im still gonna buy a GC as a daily drive/pavement pounder. theyre better look then any other car, american and despite independent suspension theyre still gonna be better offroad then some shitty Hyundai.
But what about the time when all of the zjs and wjs are so old that it's necessary to buy a newer model if you want to go offroading? Is not having a solid axle so bad? I'm actually asking, not being sarcastic.
Corranhorn122 It probably depends how hard core your off roading is. I'm sure someone will make solid axle kits as well, as they have been doing for trucks since the 90's.
We totally agree with you! Drive one and you will know how good they handle. We have driven just about everything out there and we would not trade our 2014 Overland for any one of them. Jeep rules!!!!!
my dad has has a jeep grand Cherokee but we have drove on the beach never got stuck but we didn't think it was a good "off road" car until brought it to ports mouth island and we put it through some shit, a foot of mud, 3 feet of water, sand dunes. it went every where the wrangler went. no set up at all it just proves it wasn't all made for off road but its still a jeep
Fiat didn't really design this model. This one came out before Fiat bought CJD. The 2014 model received a facelift that would have been designed by fiat most likely.
Has anyone ever damaged the huge 20 inch wheels going off-road with this since you really want to soften the tires for better traction? I prefer the 18 inch.
0:36 .. I feel like my mothers Altima will have better sway control and suspension work over these tiny logs... that thing sways and rocks around like a cart. Definitely much more of a road 'car' then an offroader this new model is. Still questioning its ride comfort though.. and even handling, when one watches the moose test fails that have been around for some time now.
Yeah….the moose test…..done in countries where people can’t drive and over react………if you live in an area where a moose jumping out is likely: fit bars and practice braking without swerving…..instead of panicking like a bitch and swerving all over the road……
just sayin. i've been 4x4 driving for 47 years. these testers haven't shown me anything other than they are stuck on a course that they suck at driving. i've had a 47 2a, a 71 cherokee and a 96 cherokee. i am a motorcycle commuter. i do however climb into the cage which is a v6 08 touareg when i have to. i've been in muddy snot up to the frame and been able to be self delivering. i see the '14 gc as the winner of the road based off roader. perhaps the fiat group will address some lift options for those who would spend the $$$. i would.
Your expectations are exceptionally high, for an arguably Cross Over vehicle, with an independent suspension. The Grand Cherokee leads its class of vehicles in off road ability without sacrificing on road driving, which is going to its use for 99.9 percent of its intended purpose for 99.9 percent of buyers.
Sergio López I bet the new Grand Cherokee drives more like a car then a Jeep and for 99% of there owners thats fine. I wish they made like a Rubicon one with real axles.
That would be amazing, maybe the next trailhawk for Moab will have solid axles and 10,5 inches of ground clearance. But I think this GC is much better than Toyotas or Land Rovers
te wszystkie podjazdy pokazowe są tworzone pod kątem bananowców , dzianych debili , śmiech na sali. Stary polonez też by te trasę przejechał pewnie 2 razy szybciej . Kierowcy testowi pewnie bali się o lakier .
hands down this jeep is awesome and still leader of its class. no other brand gives you that kind of off road capability at its price point.
PPB.
Are those factory wheels? I'm thinking about getting a 2011 GC, those would look perfect on it!
great video
holy shit that thing is badass
Dobre video dakujem.

It just looks so much better than everything else, especially the Touareg. The GC just has this southwestern American look, it's so good.

perhaps less $hittin& and youd make your point. i do agree with you btw
We totally agree with you! Drive one and you will know how good they handle. We have driven just about everything out there and we would not trade our 2014 Overland for any one of them. Jeep rules!!!!!
Just saw this, nice setup, what size wheels and what tires?
I have a 06 overland 4x4 GC and thats a hemi 5.7
Im not crazy but these are diesel right? Not sure how i feel about that!

Appears the Limited trim went up that hill easier over the High Altitude.
Hey those logs could be considered a road so is it really off road?

I have the 2014 overland it’s the best car ever
nice green color but have not seen that option on the website...
Best

Agree , the American Overland comes with 18s

how is this a testing grounds??
I want a Hemi and round jeep headlights
EXTREME OFFROADING!!!! OMG!!!
Justin Hoffert "extreme"??? On a designed "off-road" corse? Either you are kidding or you don't know the meaning of the word(s)!
@@MrKozanitis lmao this is mad old and it was a joke!
great car. good thing jeep still makes it
Wow
I have a Jeep GC and it doesn't sound anything like that. It may be different rules for exhausts for different countries.
All of these jeeps in this video are 3.0 crd engines. Diesel.
2:44 what is the color of the car?
This or the Cherokee trailhawk edition?
che macchina
Is it just me or do all these sound like huge diesel trucks? Give me the white one!
The Hemi sounds so great in person.
yes,its the diesel model :)
You can have the jeep, I'll take the G Wagon.
+Lenin Glass it's the ecodiesel. 3.0 v6 turbo diesel.
Almost no flex for an off roader.
my father has the same. its very fast uphill !!
Why did Jeep get rid of the trail rated badge
They have not gotten rid of it..$ more money for front, rear, differential and gas tank skids.
winsto22 these are not "Trail Rated" No Badges. Still available in 2014.
they don't give the badge in Europe even if the jeep has QD2, QL, tow hooks and skid plates.
se escucha como si fuera diesel
Slovakiaring -offroad....:-D

My grand Cherokee from russia
Silly of-road test. Underestimates Jeep's performance.
Fiat designed the new Cherokee for the European market Thats why it's just like a Subaru now.
subaru is japanese
Well if that's the result, good for FIAT.
На пневме - на бездорожье, он король. На пружинах ,с передней губой, аутсайдер.. Цена.? Всё ?
That suspension travel is pathetic...):
What do you drive, a Kia?
If you looked at my page you would see. :P

This truck does its job but its wayyy too loud. Ive heard Ford F-250's that are quieter than this.
when its on eco mode its loud...
This is only on video. It is super quiet in person. I own a Hemi version.
these have been modded. Like Lenin said, they're quiet in person. You don't even hear the engine over the air conditioning.
At 0:45 Better twerk than Miley Cyrus
no flex really
remember it has independent suspension, but the first one had more flex than the other ones

Sergio López Out of those 3 it just comes down to who is not running stupidly big wheels, can't fit AT's over those.
Sergio López Yes.Grand Cherokee best SUV
lol thats offroad?
my driveway is literally rougher than that wtf it looks like a big fat low turd with stupid rims
You might as well call that a car because thats what kind of suspencion it has lolbsrry about the spelling
Jeep = rigid axles, high clearence, etc. Cars from clip = Fiat Panda on Mcdonalds.
He doesn’t even know how to go off-roading 1:44
this is some kind of sad joke...
Ive owned 5 jeeps and have to say that this is a pathetic display. My wifes crv could do this.
Please Stick to the Good Old Jeeps on your next buy and don't by the new ones they are more Luxury than Utility now
large rims are shit
My ford focus can do the same thing! How is this even considered off road? Lada niva will beat this tin can offroad!
Think of the words. OFF road. That means they aren't on road. Your Ford Focus wouldn't be able to do this.
+Dukiny Gaming Regarding ford focus, its a joke. But in terms of off-road i would consider niva lada better.
These people don’t know how to drive.
lol a dam car could do this
HolyKngt there's always that guy
Devin because this can be done by a Honda
joe smith you have to be that guy. Why do people say that. No it couldn't
HolyKngt **damn**
