A list of (nearly) all MAME-playable arcade games that were released in 1993.
Mahjong/gambling games have been omitted from this list.
1993 saw a sharp rise in the fighting genre as many developers tried to cash in on the fighting craze! Quiz games were still popular and we also saw a growing number of smutty "adult" games! 3D graphics also started to take root as Sega gave us Star Wars Arcade and revolutionized the fighting scene with Virtua Fighter while Namco took racing to the next level with Ridge Racer!
There were also many quality beat'em ups introduced, most of which were sadly never ported to the home and remain mostly forgotten!
