The way Rogue broke down and sobbed with Kurt was genuinely heartbreaking. Truly heartbreaking.
I can’t be the _only_ one that felt as if they heard genuine grief in the VA there. Beyond what you see acted for film and television.
Apparently the voice actress for Rogue lost her niece, and said she channelled her genuine grief into her performance on the show. And I truly believe that you can absolutely hear the true heartbreak and mourning of the actress in Rogue as she cries with Kurt.
It cut me to the core to hear such sincere and genuine pain, poor soul.

Not only we get a couple scenes with Bastion, but the voice actor behind him is Theo James. A man that can bring a delightful charm to his evil that makes you want to learn more. That "purple people eater" song was sinisterly entertaining ❤

The 90s animated shows were all supposed to take place in the same universe. The 90s Spider-Man crossed over with the X-Men and it was awesome. The moment Spider-Man shows up in this show I might just pause it and take a walk around the block in excitement. They can use the same voice actor. He's still around. That was my childhood for years.

I read those comics back in 1997, Bastion was a great villain! Operation Zero Tolerance and his Prime Sentinels were brutal, among the best comics I've read, along with Onslaught and Age of Apocalypse.

As for who'd win between Cap and Rogue, Rogue actually debuted as an Avengers villain, albeit a misguided and mentally unstable one, and not only kicked Cap's ass, but managed to get the drop on Thor and Iron Man too (though in Thor's case I believe she had the element of surprise on her side). Having said that, they've also worked together when Rogue joined the Avengers about a decade ago where he considered her leader material so they actually have a lot of mutual respect for each other. Hell, there's one alternate timeline/future out there where they get together and have a daughter.

That's Bastion. Bastion is a combination of the extremely advanced Nimrod sentinel from Bishop's future and the Master Mold. He is the head of Operation Zero Tolerance, which was program to turn humans into sleeper Sentinels which could be remotely activated. That's what happened to Trask.
And let's be honest, Sinister is just there to get whatever he can out of Bastion and then immediately betray him. The man has chronic backstabber disorder. Someone should have really sat Bastion down and gone over the wisdom of working with someone who literally calls himself, "Sinister."

Yes, Rogue and Nightcrawler are technically brother and sister despite not being raised together. Nightcrawler is the biological son of Mystique and her wife Destiny (Mystique shapeshifted into a dude to provide the baby batter) but abandoned him right after as part of one of Destiny's visions. Much later the two of them would adopt a teenage Rogue after she ran away when her powers manifested and raised her as their daughter. They themselves wouldn't meet until adulthood and didn't learn the truth until several years of working together as friends and teammates.

Correcting the comment you read at the start--> Vulcan is not the half brother of Cyclops. He is a FULL-BLOODED Summers kid. His mother Catherine was pregnant when the Shi'ar kidnapped her and Christopher Summers (Corsair). D'ken removed the baby, aged him up with Shi'ar science and Vulcan essentially is raised as a Shi'ar before he is able to return to Earth.

He's a version of Nimrod from the future that got mixed up in the timeline and merged with a master-mold and then lived some time of his life as a human. We actually saw a partial picture of him in Forge's cabin in episode 4. This is a change from the comics as the Genosha massacre was committed by a different character, Cassandra Nova, but he is no doubt her replacement for this season. I'm also expecting Apocalypse's involvement as he was the character who resurrected Gambit in the comics.

When i first heard the Bastion voice, i thought it was Neal McDonough. It sounds just like him. But it is actually Theo James. Also, does this imply that the 'Magneto' we have been following through the season has been a clone?? And that the Magneto Bastion has is the original? I hate how people turned the word woke as something so negative and pejorative like, X-Men since day 1 was all about fighting against hatred and prejudice. In a better explanation to this, X-Men were always woke and always will be. And that's okay because it's not about something more than that because there isn't anything worse than hatred against the different and someone or something that we don't understand yet and be afraid of for being different.
The Holocaust was unfortunately one of or if wasn't the worst fine example of what humanity ignorance can do to each other.

The people that thinks LGBTQ and other social politics manners aren't that important as something that is a part of who you are, then these people are ignorant like Trask and Guyrich or the Friends Of Humanity are. So yeah, Roberto was exactly talking about being himself as a dangerous and scary thing to be because humanity don't accept them and in the first episode I think, he was like "being an X-Man? I don't even want to be myself" no matter if he was gay like Bobby the Iceman (yes, the same character that in the movies they changed his sexuality for no reason making him Rogue's love and not Gambit wtf) or suffering xenophobia like Magneto and from being Jewish too or Nightcrawler being persecuted not just for being mutant but a religious person... Woke is what it is in every corner about what can make us united and if someday prejudice becomes something that doesn't exists anymore than The X-Men loses everything that it's had as special and meaningful for the fans.
"With great powers comes great responsibility" right? I love X-Men because they're heroes not because of their powers of mutations but because of their heart and consciousness about representative too. I think it's one of the MARVELous things that Marvel actually did it right in their entire existence.

The parent of a mutant that they love wouldn't want the information to get iout to the public because they're worried about their child's life,, mutants are being targeted and killed. What would you tell your own child? If she was a mutant I would tell her to try to keep it to herself... careful who you tell , you might end up dead until things become more excepting, so yeah it's not just about a one-way thinking a parent would definitely want to protect your child from getting Harmed.. so it's wise to keep it quiet and private

I don’t think the LGBT+ today will realise and appreciate that the reaction Roberto’s mother had (we know, we accept it, but keep it a secret) would have been considered an impossibly best-case-scenario for us older gays, once upon a time.
What he experienced would have been a dream come true. A lot of us were beaten half to death, told we’re going to die alone, unloved, be forgotten by the world and deserve to get AIDS and be assaulted, thrown out onto the street. And terrible, _terrible_ things happen to young people abandoned and at the mercy of a very real, very cruel world. And there are many horrors that happen to them by truly cruel and evil people that take advantage of that fact. This was my experience.
I personally feel many people today like to use being LGBT as almost a fashion statement. To get attention. To make being a minority or a victim as some kind of fetish. Trust me, you all don’t know how good you have it.
I could ramble on, but I don’t think people will be very receptive or understand what I’m saying, and will likely just take offence. Which isn’t intended. I’m stating facts. But it’s hard to state facts and details without emotions crawling in.
Suffice to say: there’s a clear reason why X-Men is such a beloved piece of fiction for people like us. It strikes a very real chord because it touches on so many topics and themes that ring so true for us in our everyday lives.

Actually it is...X-Men has always been "woke." That's Stan Lee created the whole concept of mutants and the X-Men in the 60s during the civil rights movement. Why Professor X is based on the philosophy of Dr King and Magneto is based on the philosophy closer to Malcolm X. Dr. King was even quoted in this episode when Beast said, "Riots are the language of the unheard."

Chris Claremont was the one that wrote the comics with politics specifically in mind.
