Ananurxan is an Uyghur brave girl who lives in Müren town, Lükchün county, Turpan province. At that time a Sultan Wang (ruler or the king) ruled the place who already had four wives. He organized the so-called “Dark Garden” Meshrep and forced girls to join. By that, he asked to marry Ananurxan and request her to move to his place (palace). That night she hurt Sultan with a knife which was from her lover Jilil as a gift then suicide herself by jumping from a 14m tall palace wall. “Ananurxan” is the song sung by Jilil to her and this song became a folk song among the Uyghur people.
