In the 70s, clothes cost more as a part of one's income. Clothes are ridiculously cheap now! So sharing made sense, and since it was the 70s everybody was skinny. Thanks BoRhap for making me addicted to photos from the 70s and all the skinny people in them! Also, I remember guys wearing hats of all kinds in London in the 70s. Now I live in Australia, and guys wear boring hats to keep the sun off. Men with long hair....sigh! Tight trousers....sigh! Words, not abbreviations.....sigh!
Seriously though, if you're performing with hot friends who have some seriously good wardrobe, why *wouldn't* you trade around clothes and do each other's makeup and stuff? Tossing eyeliners and fishnet stockings around a stinky dressing room is half the fun!
You're living with and touring with the band. You wake up and put on what ever you find. Might be yours, might not, it's all good.

All of these men have one thing in common.... they all have my heart
And I loved everything they wore in the Magic Tour, how their outfits sometimes nearly matched, but not quite.
There are pictures where Freddie, Brian and John are in those tiny short shorts, or Taylor and May are in stripes, Roger's turtleneck, Brian's sleeveless, or he and Deacon both in white shirts, or Deacon and Freddie in cartoon tees. It all went together, and that wasn't always like that with Queen. Sometimes their looks were so chaotic they didn't even looked like they were in the same hemisphere, say playing together

7:06-7:08: I'm glad you mentioned this; I've noticed it in a couple of their videos, that they wear each other's clothes. The cute thing about that jacket is, when Freddie wore it, it fit normally. When Brian wore it, it was way too short, and half of his arms stuck out of the sleeves. Makes it extra-obvious how tall and skinny Brian was--adorable! Thanks for the videos; loved them!

this video was incredible, the only thing i would add is how sometimes it looked like they were each dressed for COMPLETELY separate occasions, really adding to the chaotic™ energy
The Invisible Man music video is LIT 🔥🔥🔥literally my favorite.
Actually it is Roger who loaned his clothes to the others. He shopped at Grannie Takes A Trip, which is an iconic shop where famous rockers bought clothes. Roger also picked out clothes at second hand stores(like the famous black shirt with white floral) which he went on to share with Freddie and John. In fact, other than the theatrical clothing Freddie and Brian were involved with(the white batwing tops), it was Roger who had his eyes on what was street smart fashion.
Random fact: apparently in the BoRhap music video (the part where Roger bangs the gong) they rubbed Roger's body with baby oil to make him look shiny.
And Idk about you but after I heard about that all I could think about is that I wish I was the person to rub baby oil on him

I also love that whatever the setting or theme, 3 of the 4 will be coordinated and 1 will not. Brian, John and Freddie all looked spiffy in the "Who Wants to Live Forever" video and Rog was in a Jean Jacket! Quite often 3 will be in jeans and a T-shirt and one will be wearing a button up and tie, or a lovely Blazer. Looking closely at their clothes for your two videos has been very entertaining. Also, your cheeky works spoken by Mr. Robot-Voice who is trying to be cheeky but not quite pulling it off! Well Done.
You take that back about Rog's hats! They make him look SOOO cute!!! I love them! And I always associate that hat with the video of them in Japan, where he is fooling around. It is so funny!
