I played halo 3 with my friends when we were 9 and we loved it and as adults we're fine. why? because we were raised. we have good parents who taught us that we should never recreate or mimic what we see in violent video games, violent movies, etc So many parents just buy these violent games for their kids with no second thought and then blame the game for corrupting their kids when what they should be doing is regulating what games the kid is playing instead of blaming the game itself. different people of different ages like different things. Entertainment is subjective which means by default not everything is going to be appropriate for kids, this is true for all forms of entertainment media (especially video games) its hilarious because most (if not all) of the games that gain controversy for being too violent for children are already rated M, but all these news channel big shots never seem to bring that up. all they talk about is how violent the game is when what they should be doing is asking why a parent would let a kid play a game that is clearly labeled M for mature on the front? Is it too hard to just take a look at the big bold black letter at the corner of the box before buying it? the problem isn't the games, it's the parents who buy them for their kids either without checking what it's rated, or not teaching their kids that you shouldn't mimic what you see in these video games
Against - Video games provide value. Video games promotes quick reflexes, storytelling, empathy, among many others. Politics aside, I don't think people who don't play video games, or never played any kind of video games should be able to comment on video games.

Then why were there 2 world wars before video games even existed
The world leaders from the world wars must’ve travelled through time to play Mario kart
