It's actually kinda scary how much I relate to this song. I used to be in a deep depressive state(I was in the darkness), and I honestly had no hope(my heart was set in stone). I was suicidal, I could have certainly "disappeared". Then I met my boyfriend, and he changed my life. He was that glimmer of hope for me, the voice I followed. I followed the sound of his voice. I found some heaven in myself. I discovered my redeeming qualities. He stayed in the darkness with me, and he is still guiding me to the light, but I am almost there. We've known each other for 5 years, and been together for 2 years. It's going very well. My depression/anxiety are still here, but I've learned ways to cope and he always helps me. Heaven seemed so far away, but now it's right in front of me. I can see it. And I know everything is going to be okay because he will always be by my side.

But It captures something whinthin me. The feeling of drifting dissapeering is something very prominent in the song. Similar to how my life was. I tried studying art and failed for two years. Those could have been spend on more productive things like staying with my friends that all have graduated. Chances are I will not be able to meet them in person again. This is problably the thing that embodies of regret that I have. Drifting further and further from those I love And losing the thing that I hold deer the most. However, I will not give up on art.
