I'll definitely be making some fabric gel prints. I have fabric paint I want to use up so I'm hoping it will work.

Have fun! I've not used fabric paint on a gel plate, but I would guess it should work. I know that some people add the medium to make acrylic paint fabric paint. Since I knew the fabric wouldn't be washed I didn't worry about what type of paint I used. :) Thank you for watching. :)

These look so pretty. I just bought gel plate so I'm ready to get going.
*** QUESTION: When you iron freezer paper on fabric, does it stick to fabric and stay attached, or does it just leave the coating on the fabric??? ***
    Thx for the video.

Hello Barbara. Thank you. Oh you will love gel printing. Just take your time and PLAY. don't get upset if it doesn't turn out. Just lay the page aside and keep going...
Okay so ironing the shiny side of freezer paper to fabric will help give the fabric body or make it stiff so that it is easier to handle on the gel plate. Otherwise fabric can be floppy and it might fall before you get it in place. When you are ready to use the fabric, just peal it off. Doesn't seem to leave a residue on the back side. of course when I'm gel printing on fabric I'm not planning to wash the fabric. if you plan to wash the fabric either use fabric paint or add a fabric medium to the acrylic paint.
Hope that answers your question. :) Feel free to ask more if you need assistance. :)
Thank you for watching. :) And hello - You are not too far from me since I'm just outside Oklahoma City. :) I'll be having a paper making workshop Sunday May 1st if you want to drive up for the day, there are some nice hotels near me. ;) lindaisrael.com/art/product/handmade-paper-making-workshop/
