  • The Corvette is America's true sports car. Since 1953 Chevrolet has taken the Corvette too new levels. Now the new C8 Corvette changes the name of the game and has a mid engine layout. Under the hood of this 1966 Vette is a 7.0L V8 that pumping out 390HP on paper and mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox. On the outside you will find factory knock-offs, unique hood and convertible top. On the inside you will find a navy blue interior, A/C. power steering and a teak wood steering wheel. Is the new C8 Corvette going to be as iconic as a 1966 Corvette 427?

I am the son, and this ! this! was and will be , for always.... My Dream Car. I'm 52 years old and I was in love with that car forever since my father told me stories about his white 64 Mustang GT. 1960's cars are the best designs. My next one is a Thunderbird 64-66, the design is so elegant and stylished. The Corvette 1963 split window is my favorite, but that one will certainly fit my 6 feet 3 lenght. Love the way you present a car. I am new here. Stingray 63-67 is more than an American car, it is the most beautyfull machine. Was in haw when in full throtle. Thank you. Awsome!

Corvettes today are more expensive by a long shot. $5000 in 1966 is just over 40K in today's money. The lowest optioned C8 convertible is 67K + for 2021. Comparitivly speaking the Corvette is much more expensive now than back then. I am willing to bet this is true with all cars. People pay these ridiculous prices so all manufacturers just increase the price every year. They could probably charge a lot less on vehicles and still make a killing. End rant. On a side note. I don't know that I will see the C8 as being as sought after as the C2. There will be way over 27000 of those. But I guess only time will tell. Great video Joe. Well done!

I agree. I’ve owned many corvettes and my ‘65 convertible and the C8 convertible are my favorites. The C8 is a much better car but not better looking than those old classics.

@@jonathanriolo2578 I ordered the C8 well over a year ago and got it on Thanksgiving. I bought the 1965 convertible about 45 years ago. White interior with a wood steering wheel. Fast and fun just like the C8.

A ride on a unicorn. Fantastic. I like c3’s (75-77, 82) and c4’s (Grand Sport and ZR1) best, don’t mind a well kept C5. What I want to know is, did you enjoy the drive as much as we enjoyed watching you take it? Thanks for the best car video I have seen today. Cheers.
