So happy that you like it out of the box! Sounds amazing
Strandberg Guitars Thanks guys! So happy to finally join the family! ❤️
Strandberg Guitars, FYI Jack has sold this model to me. I am making arrangements as I type this. Cheers!
@@JackGardiner Any idea about its weight?
Alexander T - It’s super light! Not sure on exact weight, but definitely way lighter than a standard Strat.
In the interest of transparency, As of last week I’m a happy owner of the Sälen Classic. OMG!!!
So many licks to steal.
Nemanja Milojevic absolutely
exactly.
Happy to see a Strandberg Boden video that's not just chugging and shredding all over the place with high-gain or crunch tones. I played the graphite color version just the other day at a local GC store, and I was in love with how light and ergonomic is was, and how good it sounded. I was very tempted to get one, but I've spent too much money on basses already and need to pace myself a little. I'm sure there's a Strandberg Boden in my future though--just a matter of time.
I could listen to Jack speak and play for hours.Kinda soothes the soul.Thank you sir.
Sounds so beautiful!
beautiful playing
Amazing Sound and Amazing Playing...Cheers
Sweet playing & tones! Love the Guitar!
Dear Sir, you're amazing! Those vibes were just a balm for my soul. Such sweet tones. Now I really want to get an eight string version of a Boden classic. Thank you very much for outstanding content!
beautiful playing!
Tasty, I love everything about that piece of instrument. Wanna play it now. Congrats!
Awesome playing. Awesome guitar. But something I just had to point out was how wonderful it was to listen to a guitar video where the guitar playing was not 500 decibels higher than the talking. THANK YOU!
Yes! I'm constantly having to turn down after the playing starts in guitar videos. Very much appreciate this.
Beautiful guitar Jack, congrats!
Sounds amazing, really enjoying your playing :)
Man I enjoyed that. Thank you so much for this video!
Thank you for your great video and music
Those single-coils sound absolutely awesome together. They sound good on their own, but when you combine them, it's just plain magical.
Getting mine tomorrow and man that neck pickup sounds amazing! Great playing and awesome video!!
excellent video...tyvm...
your playing is easy on the soul.
Great playing, delicious looking guitar!
The tone shift at 7:20... oh my goodness... what a sound. I'm reminded of Marty Friedman's Tibet and Eric Johnson, just a great, clean tone with lush, ethereal harmonics peeking through. Awesome stuff man.
Love the way he plays a guitar that has a great tone with someone who can showcase it is like where the earth And seas meet each other ❤️
whattttttt????? this sound is so marvelous!... congrats jack!
Fantastic playing man!!
stunned by your playing while the guitar is already gorgeous
amazing tone and licks!
Great playing mate. Nice tone!
amazing jack
I dig your aesthetic dude. I'm only here to see about Strandbergs, and am pleasantly surprised and impressed. Well done.
I missed your guitar playing 💪🏼😎🎸 welcome back!!!!
Super nice sound and playing.
You are the best guitarist I recently heard man! Big up for you! Well done! ;)
And congrats on the new guitar, sounds sick!
I am still amazed how you can blow my ears and my mind anytime you play! Your musicianship is at such a level...and I’ve seen thousands of videos on the electric guitar topic, followed the best... you’re incredible!!!
Man - you’ve just made my day! Thank you so much ❤️
Awesome playing bro ! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
beautiful i love guitar ❤
you had me hooked with that intro jam. duds seriously, SO SICK
Sick playing dude! Many demos iv watched don’t do this guitar justice, this convinced me to go try one and maybe buy if I can sit well with the endurneck.
Oh you look so happy dude, I'm so happy for you.
absolutely, my next guitar!
love those ethereal/celestial/
harps-in-heaven tones!
Came for the guitar, stayed for the licks.
Scary playing !! superb phrasing
Very good sound, i like it.
I just ordered mine today. It'll be here in a couple days. Ever since I first seen this video I've obsessed over this guitar. I'm so excited!! 😝
How are you liking it bro!? What color did you get? I think I’m in the same boat now that you were in…
welcome to the family, Jack!
O hell yes! This is my dream guitar and I want one soooo bad..I am literally obsessed with it, thinking about it every day and trying to find every video and picture of it that I can. This is the best demo of it that I've found so far, so thanks!
Indiegaze - Thanks so much man. 🙏Believe me, you’ll fall in love with it! Truly a thing of beauty! I posted a more artsy demo just now. 😉
@@JackGardiner Checked it out and wow, beautiful playing and video! Love the aesthetic and mood. That Malta Blue is looking stunning in that light. Looks almost green. Definitely one of my all time favorite guitar finishes.
You got the chops, you got the soul and the passion, now you have a lovely new guitar. Alright for some. X
Sounds awesome, like your playing. Congrats. I love the color.
Ivan Carlos Santiago Thanks man! That Malta Blue is awesome right?!
Hey, sou do Brasil e curto muito suas idéias e feeling, abraço do grande fã

Suena fabuloso y el diseño es único, y gran ejecucion ,saludos desde Chile

Really good. Just good enough. Great guitar.
Sounds great, dude!
great instrument
Beautiful guitar! Great tone! I was listening to this at my desk, and GG came to mind when I heard you speak. Forgive this Yank!
U got a guitar titan in your hands now. Everything will never be the same again...
The truest statement. I'm literally trading my other guitars in for more Bodens now after having the Boden 7. I believe this classic is what I'll go with!
very nice guitar play
I really want one.. 😍
beautifull...
ive owned over 10 strandbergs. the classic is the one i miss the most. every sound and feel i want. unfortunately can’t get down with the flat radius anymore. hopefully they’ll offer a lower radius someday. great playing!
Classy licks! The way I like to hear a guitar in a review! Great playing Jack, very solid mate. Im considering myself a boden or a sälen.
Really nice dreamy arps
Nice one 🤘🏻
good sound
Such nice runs! I can hear a little Eric Johnson in there too. You've just earned yourself a new fan. Very nice!
You can't tell it's fan frets , never would of known if you didn't say so. Badass man
Sound like tones from heavens and the police awesome in tone and whimsical
I came in for the guitar.
Subscribed for your licks, mannnn..
Thanks brother! 🙏❤️
muito bonito esse cinza azulado!
you are killing it bro !
how do you feel about your guitar after a little more experience with it ?
I'm sold.
Goosebumps
Someswar Bhattacharya 🙏🙏🙏 Thanks man!
Just got mine based in large part on this video... THANK YOU! I think I'm in love. One question, you'd mentioned in a comment that you'd changed to your preferred string gauge, just wondering what that is? Also LOVING the album, this is the guitar you used for all of it, si?
You are an absolute monster Jack! We NEED some new lick lessons from you! Especially some lessons on those super long sweepy licks that get you up the fretboard. INSANE!
Cody Johnson man - Thanks so much dude. It means a lot coming from you! Your playing is beautiful!
Nice strat-Berg jack
I guess you like it then
Great sounding guitsr
Iii think I'm going to buy one great video by the way
Does it do blues and ambiance
Can you do a video of why you chose the classic model over the original and other strandberg models?
I want one , been wanting one for a while now...Maybe my piggy bank will finally have enough one day soon I hope. Sounds magnificent man.
Just got mine today, still getting acquainted. incredible playing and feel ! What strings do you use ?
Congrats, Jack - it sounds fantastic & your playing is so inspiring!
Also, have you ever considered the Salen model (their T-style)?
Michal Mikolaj Maslowski Thanks Michal! 🤘 Indeed - I’ve always loved the sound of the guitar it took inspiration from, but I’ve never quite been able to feel comfortable playing them. Perhaps the Salen would do the job!
@@JackGardiner I hear you! That's what I've always thought myself (arguably, the hardest guitars to master), until I found the one that has completely changed my approach to playing and has pushed me into unchartered territories; you'll probably laugh, but the T I own (it's not the Salen, btw), has made me (mentally) consider playing an ER instrument, ha ha! But, enough about me. Just wanted to say, your playing is so articulate & nuanced - I am thoroughly impressed!
Thanks Jack & have fun with the new axe!
Bought myself one in feb. of this year. Had some issues with the pickup switch. Since i didn't want to send it back to Sweden, i replaced the original one by a DiMarzio ( looks exactly the same). Haven't regretted it one sec i bought the guitar...
Great choice! I also got myself a Boden Classic in Malta Blue a few months ago. Absolutely love it. Are you a Strandberg Artist now? Can we expect a Signature Guitar in the future? A player of your caliber definitely should have one!
Have you had to adjust the intonation yet?
@@peachmelba1000 Only once in the beginning when I switched to my preferred string gauge
@@TheSchwarztrinker I ask because having watched a few demos, it looks to be a fairly haphazard process, as you have to loosen each string completely, and then eyeball the new saddle position. Is this the case?
@@peachmelba1000 It could get annoying if you change string gauges a lot. I don't find it difficult, but of course it's not as straightforward as adjusting a Tele
Muito linda... Ela realmente é leve ?????
I bought the same model several months ago. The neck took some getting used to for me, but it is my favorite electric now. My other favorite is my Ibanez thin nylon string with the tone wood amp attached. Especially fun when used with The midi and SampleTank apps. So wild to an orchestra coming out of your guitars sound hole!
How do you like the single coils? I am trying to decide between classic and standard models. A bit afraid if the single coils are noisy.
Adi Dvorov not any noisier than other singles. I have the Salen Tele style too, and I like the tone of its pickups better.
@@donindri thanks!
"Here are the first few notes"
Or first two thousand. Great playing, man!
It looks ultra functional and very nice to play. The design is unusual, but appears to suit the purpose of creating an almost perfect playing experience without impediments. I must say though, as a bit of a traditionalist, I still prefer the look of my Strats and Les Pauls. How a guitar looks has been important to the instrument for hundreds of years, since the days of the Baroque guitar. But if it’s easier to play it’s worth a try as a guitar that’s easy to play is a guitar that makes you play better. I’m interested!
Amazing sound and u sure know how to play it too 👍 new subscriber here. Have a great weekend 🙂
Kristian Thorén - Thanks so much man! Hope you have a great weekend too dude!
Just ordered a Boden Standard 8, and in hopes I like it (expecting too obv) I plan on selling a few guitars for more Bergs
How are the proprietary "custom" pickups? They certainly sound good here. Can they do that Fender bridge "quack"? I'm looking at maybe buying one of these, they seem pretty fair for the price.
Can i expect the standard 7 string model to sound this good do you think?
Anyway of getting tone like this with pedals from an actual amp? The effects are nuts.
The guitar sounds good but Jack's playing is incredible.
Top !!!!!
Love your playing Jack and appreciate the instructive videos. I came back to this one because I recently picked up a Boden Prog 6. I’m struggling to keep the tuning stable when using the bar. What has your experience been with your guitars. Any suggestions or tricks that you’ve figured out?
Hey man look at the reddit strandberg page, someone asked why his tuning was not stable. He ended up figuring out that it was user error and he did not unscrew and take something all the way out while replacing the string that caused this. I'll see if I can find it and post the link
www.reddit.com/r/Strandberg/comments/hh769h/new_prog_6_having_some_trem_issues/?
Thanks for tip! That was me who started that thread. And yes, complete user error. I changed the strings incorrectly. The string needs to thread through the saddle assembly after the end cap is put back on. I did it before the end cap and caused all sorts of problems. The guitar is excellent now.
Recommendations please for a good set of HSS noiseless pickups to put in a Strandberg Classic - thanks.
Very nice sound you get out of it! Although I prefer metal this is beautiful and your very talented at playing guitar
That tone is so nice. Could you tell us how you achieved it?
Kevin Toine - Thanks dude! It’s some of my own presets that are available for free when you download Neural DSP Archetype: Nolly VST!
R.I.P. noisy pots... ;(
But a beautiful guitar! :)
I dunno why I thought it's a headless strat at first lmao. A fine axe. I just wish it can be sold in my country :(
To be fair, the boden is effectively a headless super strat. The salen is a headless tele style. Both have maybe more "modern" tones than a regular strat and tele for sure.
I thought those frets were fanned, but it's very subtle.
Strandberg (mostly) sets up their multiscale fretboards so the nut, or fret zero, is the only point which is perpendicular to the center line of the neck. It also appears that they only employ a 12mm difference in scale length between the lowest and highest strings. It is quite subtle.
