Would it be worth your while dropping some sand or sand-sawdust mixture in between your top mat and the playground mat? I know there's some info about there about 'granular' materials in floors having a strong effect on vibration damping
@@hardcorejacob The mats on top aren't as important as you'd think. ANything over 8 mm will do. The real meat and potatoes of the anti-vibration parts are Polypress blocks and lots and lots of air bubbles.
@@fightinggod3168 oh ok thanks Yh makes sense. Tbh I don’t really care about the vibration. It’s mainly so the plates don’t get damaged on the concrete.
Looks great I want to build one just like you did I just have a quick question about using those puzzle mats, have they deformed, like become indented from dropping heavy weight on them or have they maintained being flat and level with the part you stand on?

No health and safety standards to speak of, excellent. Thoroughly emasculated. I daresay even a few off-colour comments may have been during the fabrication.
Now you just need to hang about 50 flags, banners and tapestries. Old school insulation.
"professionally used cow mats" 😂
MDMF? The Medium Density "methamphetamine" Fibre Board LOL
That 16mm MDMF is strong stuff 👌
I’m so glad that you guys both worked on this project this time. Last time it was a one man project.
Now lads, what about an anti-vibration bed?
Just for uhhh… accessory work.
"my home gym is at my gaff"... suspicious 😂
ive recently made one of these, i like the way you guys did it :)
I have been using horse matting to train with over lockdown
I'm a grab myself a couple of pieces of MDF and follow along as this continues 💪
The montage music at the start was superb. :D
cow mats/stall mats, whatever you want to call them, are so much better than most “fitness mats” offered for gym use
yea way more cost effective and better quality imo, the only downside is that you can’t really customize it
Mine has gone through various upgrades but it's kinda scrappy, now I know how to build the definitive one
Very elegant
GENIUS

Yes!
I built what is essentially a clone of the Eleiko SVR platform. It's super easy to do, but it can be a bit impractical for some.
How thick were the matts that u got? I’m building a platform with stable matts aswell. Do you know if 10mm would be thick enough

I will be changing the top mat to a harder rubber. No complaints from the neighbours in two years though but the mats sink unless I rotate
I'm most jealous about the Hilux, they're banned from import to my country.
What country are you from? I wonder why hilux wouldn’t be eligible for import

Do it on solidworks mate, much less of a hassle

How is the platform holding up 1 year later? Have the soft pads underneath compressed at all?
where do I get Fitz's socks?
Hay lads what are those shoes called u guys are wearing plz?
Can you do more of these just so I can be soothed by fitz’s intense nasal breathing while cutting wood

How does a 170kg clean and jerk sound tho? :)
