I needed this I just finished north carolina A&T state university's pharmacy tech program and they placed me at a walgreens I froze up with this when the person on the job tested me
Hopefully this video will help you.
🔥🔥🔥🔥 yo this my favorite teacher!!
Thank you so much! I appreciate the love
My interest grew while I was caring for my dad a few years back, being his only child that’s active I had to learn his meds, and dosages and being hands on with that gave me a sense of peace knowing I was helping him serving him as he did me as a child and I wanted to give that same love to others just to be able to assist people makes me feel closer to God….. I am so thankful I found your page, my exam is less than a few days. I already completed the program at our local college graduating with a 96 average so I pray I pass this exam with flying colors . ❤
If you’re text book has questions and answers in the back, make sure to study those as well.
Thank you for this video. I decided to go into rx as a new challenge for me. The training hasn’t been done the right way and at times I have felt discouraged. But I’m not giving up, this makes so much more sense when taught the right way.
I definitely understand! If there’s a video you need let me know. You guys have great ideas on videos that I never think to make🤷🏽♀️
Same here ! I felt like I was stuck ! But I’m highly grateful for this video !
@@tshanaflorence9603I feel the same way. How are you doing now?
I am a new tech and just got me a real job. This is the kind of math I really needed. How did you memorize all 5hose drugs
Tbh, I’m not sure. I crammed for my test and just used family members name and whatever else quirky things I could use.
Love inspired me to become a pharmacy tech at the hospital
I’m glad I could help! Working in the hospital setting is very rewarding.
I have been a pharmacy technician for about 14 years now. Let my nationals go it wasn't required where I work. Not a good choice on my part a little rusty on the math parts so wanted to get that back. So I appreciate your videos. I only work retail and would love to learn more in hospital. I went into pharmacy because I wanted to be In medical and not have to do shots. I can't do those. blood I'm good with not with needles. And went through school for it and loved it. Keep up the videos they are awesome. Thank you for taking time out of your life to teach others!
You’re welcome😍
You make it look so easy. In class it looked a bit complicated Thank you
You can do it! Just keep watching my videos, what you don’t understand in class, I’m sure there’s a video for it on my channel 🥰
She makes everything easier,I listen to her top 200 drugs, follow up by quizzing myself on Quizlet sand I’ve leaned a lot!
All I knew was taking care of other people for a job so I became a Pharmacy Technician because of my mom. She is a Pharmacy Technician and I thought I would give it a try and I love it.
I’m glad you enjoy it, so do I. I thought about being a nurse, but I really don’t want to be hands-on with people.
Thanks for the videos. I have been a Pharmacy technician since 2007. But I only worked in the Pharmacy 3 years. I pursued another degree and for some reason I’m full circle back to my original career. Which is Pharmacy. Now I need to refresh and brush up on my skills.
This is definitely a great spot for a refresher. Thank you for visiting my channel.
Same! going to get certified next summer 🤞
OMGoodness, you are God Sent, I worked as a PT years ago and have begun again. I’m still rusty and watching your teaching method has literally helped me drastically. Some of the prescriptions I have a hard time with. I now want to do it the way you’ve shown. I know the sigs(majority of them, but I want to be able to calculate them) it’s the knowing for me. A new sub you’ve gained. God bless you!!! 💚💚💚
You’re so sweet! Thank you ♥️
@@PharmacyTechLove Hi, thank you for very informative lessons on calculations for Pharmacy Techs. If someone has a Science Degree with Healthcare experience, are they still able to study the Pharmacy Tech programme, despite coming from different background in Healthcare. God bless you!
Thank you I love how you teach you make it simple!!God Bless you!!
You’re very welcome ☺️
SCphT, joined RX in November 2021, certified in April of 2022, however still learning to master day supply of liquids and ointments/creams. Your teaching dynamic is very easy to follow, the best I've found so far. Thank you for your time and patience.
Much love ❤️ Thank you for your kind words.
First I love your videos and the mini conversations in-between !! I decided to be a pharmacy tech because I wasn't sure if I wanted to do another 4 years of school and so instead I chose an accelerated college course. I've been working since I was 15, I'm 22 now and wanted to do something other than simply retail. and I wanted a steady paying job. I don't know much about working in the environment so I hope I love it.
You’ll do great!
Thank you so much for all of your videos!! They honestly inspired me to become a pharmacy tech and I’m currently half way through school to become a tech!!
Thank you so much!
You’ll be great, just don’t let anyone discourage you.
This is very helpful and easy to understand! Thank you so much
You're very welcome!
your videos have been really helpful, more then a friend that has been helping me out with math
Happy to help!

Thank you so much for making this video. God bless you for taking the time to do this and teach young minds
You’re so welcome, thank you for watching❤️
I been working in retail pharmacy a little over 3 months now, and I love it!! I've always been a caring and helpful person looking out for people. So, when I had decided to return back to school, I knew that something in the medical field was my interest. So, my advisor had recommended to me becoming a pharmacy technician. I just wanted to say that you just taking a small bit of your time to help us all is a great inspiration. You show simple ways in your work to make anyone feel like a genius. Especially, in math 😊And yes, I have a Taco 4 Life resturant in my hometown, and the food is incredible.
Lol 😂 Love some Taco’s for Life❤️ And thank you for the kind words.
Yesss keep it coming❤️❤️ Thank you❤️
Thank you! You’ve always been so supportive!!
Your amazing I love your work you made this experience great ❤
Thank you 🙏🏽
You are amazing 😂you and your tacos for lunch. I’m hungry for tacos now but I’m full from the knowledge you share. Thank you for sharing this video some people don’t take the time to break it down and explain it the way you just did in this video. God bless
God bless you as well.
Thank you thank you thank you! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You’re so welcome 😉
Thank you for helpful video.
You’re so welcome 😉
Thank you so much for this information. Been a pharmacy tech for 2 months and this is very helpful!
I’m glad I could help!! I hope wish you all the best in your career.
@@PharmacyTechLove Thank you🙏🏾😍🥰
I want to thank you so much for taking the time to do these videos. I watched all your videos. I took my test and received my results on 7/22/22. I PASSED!!! YOU'RE AN AMAZING INSTRUCTOR.
Look at you! Congratulations, I wish you all the best on your journey.
@@PharmacyTechLove Wow!! At 51 years young.. Yes ma'am the journey continues. And i didn't know anything about the pharmacy work. Blessings to you and your motivation to others. And I still follow you!!!!
Thank you so much you’re awesome 😊
You’re welcome ☺️
Thank you Thank you for simplifying these calculations for DS. I’m currently working as as an Pharmacy Tech trainee and Math has not been my strongest subject due up not always having the right instructor. The reason o want to be a pharmacy tech is to work in the lab to compound because I’ll be behind the scenes and no longer dealing with patients directly lol. Great video sis!! 💛🙏🏾
You’re welcome! Math can be a very terrifying task for some people. I’ll try to break it down as much as I can.
I love your channel
Thank you soooooo much 🤗🤗
Good video thank you it help me so much
I’m glad to help 🤩
Love your videos I’m in the process of studying for the PTCE within a few months wish me luck thanks for your videos…..always my aunt is the reason I wanna become a tech listening to all her stories
Good for you! I wish you nothing but success 🎉🎉
I am deciding to transition into rx. It is exciting for me with all this math. I am a numbers girl. Taking notes 📝! Thank you!
You’re welcome 😇
Thank you so much . I’ve been struggling with this and you made it so easy. I decided to go into pharmacy because I enjoy helping others , but I also wanted to learn something new in healthcare. I am currently a CNA .
You got this!
This video really helped me a lot , plus I just subscribe to your channel I have been a pharmacy technician since April 2022 not certified yet but I work I’m Kroger pharmacy they give u up to 9 months to pass the national boards
I became a technician because all the people in the pharmacy were sick with Covid and they needed someone to come and cashier..... They saw I was really good with the patients and I was transfered to the pharmacy and I earned my way to be a tech in training. They paid for my schooling and training.
That’s exactly how I got started, minus the Covid. You’re on your way🥳
Love the videos
Well thank you 🙏🏽
Well I would like to let you know that I used to be a dental assistant for 20-plus years I got really ugly after my last few years too much of the drama was getting to me and I'm older so I wanted to stay within the area of helping patients and I chose pharmacy tech I just hope I can get through this math it's my main concern but you are such a pleasant person to watch and you really do the classroom work that's what I like about you because you do the problems with us and you explain them and I really enjoy that
Thank you! I'm just seeing this comment. CZcams blocks some messages for some reason. I guess for safety.
I just took my exam today and I passed! I just wanted to let you know your videos helped me gain confidence when it came to the math problems! Thank you thank you thank you ! I will always tell other techs about your videos !!
Congratulations 🎉 I’m glad I could help you along your journey. Be blessed 😇
I went to school back in 2018 I work in prior authorizations but I haven’t taken the test but I finished pharmacy tech school
Are you nervous to take it?
I was giving a opportunity to be a pharm tech. I have been a Medical asst for 13 years and it was time to learn more about meds. but this math is so hard when it comes to typing. insulin is the worst. Thanks you so much for this video. going watch the rest of them now
You’re very welcome ☺️
Thank you so much
You're very welcome.
I am decided to study and become a pharmacy technician because the pharmacy life intrigued me after I got my Biology degree in college. I started to love what medicine does for the body while knowing how the body works. To me they both go hand in hand. I want to move from retail pharmacy to a clinic or hospital.
Tbh, I would suggest that you dabble as a pharmacy tech for a few months and then go to pharmacy school.
I love how you break it down !!! Can you do inhalers ? And Lantus or any Insulin medicines
That’s a great idea! I never think to make videos about this for some reason. I have it in the books for a video🎉
@@PharmacyTechLove thank youuuu
I just started a job as a Data entry Technician, I have always liked the medical field but never liked wiping butt or dealing with people directly, so this is why I chose this job!!!!
Same!! I took care of my grandmother in a very young age. That life is not for me as an adult.
Your videos are amazingly helpfuI .I was a pharmacy clerk for 9 years. Now I am a tech but noone explained the process. I was getting so frustrated and confused but now that I watched your videos I feel mote confident. Thank you for all your help.. 😊😊😊
You’re so welcome! Have a wonderful Tuesday.
I love your video !! I have a question what if they don’t have a dispense amount ??
I think I I’ve made a video on that. It should be in the math playlist.
Love your videos! So I'm transitioning from retail to hospital.I've been a tech for 17 years. Can you let me know the every day math basics you need in hospital setting?
My experience of 6.5 years I didn’t need much unless you plan on working in the IV room.
You are beautiful.. thanks for sharing your knowledge.. I have been a pharmacy tech for 11 years at the same job. I am now looking to get certified so I can work in the hospital setting .. advance my skills
Thank you and good luck! You’ll do great 😊
thank you for your videos. I have been working at pharmacy as noncertified for a few months and I am having some difficult time in Date Entry with Sig Code for ointment, eye drops other than Tablets and Capsules. Tablets and capsules are easy but other types of drugs are difficult. Could you make some videos for that?
I think I’ve made one for drops before. You may look through my videos under drops per milliliter.
Hi Pharmacy tech love, I recently got a job as a pharmacy tech and I'm training on the job. I've been taking down notes along with trying to memorize things and it is getting a little overwhelming. Any advice you would give pharmacy technicians who are just starting out? And I thank you for this video because it could definetly help me!
We’ve all been where you are. Get rid of those feelings of being overwhelmed, it’s going to be what it’s going to be. Right now you’re in the stage of gaining experience. This too shall pass.
Is it possible to create a video for calculations for insulin and Weight loss medication such as saxenda and ozempic getting the day supply for those are tricky
Hi there, I had to do some research on the weight loss meds. They’re prefilled syringes, very easy to calculate. I’ll add a Saxenda example in with the next insulin video.
Thank you so much, can you do one dealing with insulin vials and insulin pens, I always struggle with those.
And thank you for these videos Queen!
Yes! I definitely will, I have it written in my notes.
You’re very welcome ☺️
Please go through insulin and testosterone days supply..... That's what I've struggled with for over 2 years now and no one will train me correctly on how to do it
Hi there, that video will be uploaded August 2nd. 🥳
Hi , thank you for the video. It was so helpful. I m pharmacy technician in the trainee. I just start a pharmacy job two days ago. My math is not good, if you have any idea that can help me. And can you make a video for counting medications please? Thank you
Sure! Just make sure you count by fives whenever you are counting your medication’s. But I will try my best to do a video over that.
Thanks for this. Can you please make a video lecture on pharmacy laws 🥺
I definitely can, I have it written down to make a video for this.
Can you take your ptcb exam at anytime as long as it's before your license expiration date? Also do you get a certificate or something saying it's been completed and passed?!
Can you do days supply for creams and ointments
It’s a little difficult on those because it depends on the wound size.
Are there any resources for PTCB. I wish you worked in my pharmacy:)
Please email me with questions @ pharmacytechlove@gmail.com
i need your class im stuck on household measurements all measurements....i have a book and the search to find someone to break it down like you is very very hard to find... : (
Hmm…I feel like I’ve done a video on that. Email me and tell me exactly where you’re struggling.
do yo have a video on solutions concentration and dilutions
I can definitely make one for you. I’ve got it written down to do so🤩
I’m also in need of this information!
I wanted to be a pharm technician bc in the future I want to run an herbal pharmacy and I wanna see thr behind thr scenes of how a pharmacy runs. im a trainee so im not certified and my pharmacist is treating me like im certified so she's really making it hard for me when I forget things or mess up or get overwhelmed. but I will overcome it
You have to understand that with your trainee license, you’re an acting pharmacy technician. It’s going to be rough starting out, but weather the storm. It will get better, learn what you can and don’t take things personal. This is only a learning experience, don’t let it define who you are.
@@PharmacyTechLove ❤❤❤
Question? How do you compute days supply when there is multiple times of the day
Are you able to give me an example? I’m not sure if you mean ex. “q8h” of “tid”
How do you calculate quantity dispense ?
Check my playlist under “Pharmacy Math” I think I have a video on that.

i became a pharm tech to overcome covid pandemic
Congratulations 🎉🎈
i was going to school for nursing then covid happen and i said nope and chose to be a pharmacy technician
I understand that, I’m not really a touchy-feely person so that’s why I chose not to be a nurse either. Best of luck on being a pharmacy technician, it has helped me greatly.
Thanks for the video
can we collab together
Definitely! I’ve never done a collaboration, so you’ll have to tell me what we need to do.
And drops...and inhalers
I just did a video over drops, but inhalers are definitely coming.
