- We set out to remind of the great influence we as Jamaicans have had on others. Hopefully the pride we have for the past achievements will translate into our sense of rightousness to be brothers and sisters to our neighbours and re-orient our minds to work as one moving positively into a brighter tomorrow.
From Frame by Frame Productions.
I'm an American who is grateful that my Jamaican mother sent me to Jamaica almost every summer when I was a child to spend time with family and know my roots!!

IF YOU ARE JAMAICAN OR NOT PLEASE WATCH THIS SHORT INTERVIEW ABOUT JAMAICA. THANKS!!!
@pearpeas Like he said in the interview his parents were Jamaicans and he was born in Brooklyn but spent his formative years in St Ann Jamaica. He gives thanks for the positive influences growing up in Jamaica then had on his life... like so many other great people in the world.
Not Brooklyn but Harlem in Manhattan border Bronx
His father was from Martinique and his mother was from Jamaica, but you don't hear much about his Martinique connection.
I want some bun and cheese and jerk chicken and some escovieched fish!!!

Hi Zenadina, it was edited from a compilation of interviews done by my company for our Island Stylee show over the years. The edit was done in February of this year just to circulate and assist in promoting well being amongst our people. It is not available on DVD but feel free to share the link.
All the best.

Thank "T", maybe it's time to "Wing" it! :-)
Definately open to doing lots more like this and Wing.
Cheers
YESSSSSSSSSSSS MAN
RIP
Every other source indicates that his dad is from Martinique and not Jamaica. Is Belafonte telling the truth? Odd that he would personally state this but is not corrected anywhere else
+Floyd005 He's from Jamaica. the Belafonte's are from Saint Elizabeth and are my mum's relatives. My Grandmothers maiden name was Belafonte she married Duiggan (Santa Cruz). The man must know where his family is from. Why would he lie? Related family names from the area are Smith's, Symth, Delapina By the way, the Belafonte's are of African and Sephardi Jewish descent. Belafonte is a Sephardi (from Portugal they arrived to Jamaica in the early 16th, 17th centuries) Jewish name.
+kwacou Odd, my mom's father's father's side all originated from a place called Siloah in Santa Cruz, St. Elisabeth and Thorton, St. Elisabeth
do you realize what you conveyed requires the death penalty? Sans? you are going receive what you wished upon my righteous souljah!
YOUR TYPE OF FOOLISHNESS WILL STOP! JUST AS THE TWO!
why would he lie? he must know where he is from also his family.
