- Gave north shore a go for few hours targeting mackerels for the bait freezer and some for bbq, check it out how i got on. and bump into Colin of@c.h.fieldsports9876 good too meet up finally bud.

Never been to Llandudno so went yesterday after watching this video. Caught loads of good sized mackerel on my home made feathers. They were smashing into bait fish real close in up and down the shore all evening. Great to watch.

Probably my favourites spot to fish this time of year especially multi day trips , the sun sets and rises again a couple of hours later right in front of you , it's mind blowing to see on a night sesh on a clear night .you Bagged up mate nice one 👍

Great vid mate! I went to Llandudno the other day but I got my times all wrong and ended up on the pier at low water. Only had spinning gear with me (I like light lining) and fished for about three quarters of an hour, it was nothing more than an excuse to get away for some time to be on my own as my wife had just had a 7 hour heart operation the previous day and she wasn't up to having visitors. - (She's making a fairly good recovery thank God!) I blanked but it was great just to be out there trying to christen my new spinning rod. I hope to get out again within the next week or so when I can get the tide times better and hopefully get a few mackerel. Thanks for the video, it is inspiring!

@@Masterfisherman Yes I agree about tide times and the right weather conditions, you are 100% right and that is what I am planning. It's just a matter of getting a day when the weather and high tide times are right for me to do the 100 mile journey to Llandudno. (Do you find mornings or evenings are better?) Having said that we might get round to getting a B&B for a couple of nights in a couple of weeks time so it will be easier to plan.

4 06 bingo, nice fish i was fishing there on 30th june not many about only got 6 ,going again 8 th july hope to catch like you have ,i will change my beach caster for a small rod like yours, keep the vids coming and well done
You want the water fairly flat calm on here, 2 hours before high tide is ideal, and yes instead of using 14ft beach casters just get urself a 10ft rod it wont kill your wrist then and still hit good distance. Thanks for wathing 👍

Love Llandudno but in the summer too many tourists etc. Can get great bags of mackerel but bait fishing is awful there anyway great vid mate!

Really informative video, coming to Llandudno on the 20th of June. However I do not have a spinning rod or reel similar to what you are using, weekend fisherman's question. Do you think I would be okay using my 13ft Penn Rampage and Shimano Speedmaster 14000 XSG or a Penn Surfblaster? Promised my wife some Mackerel for the barbecue. Tight lines
What u got is perfectly fine but you might ger arms like a popeye after 10 mins of casting 🤣 hope u manage to catch a few and keep the Mrs happy. Tight lines 👍🎣

Great vid. Never fished before, but caught your vid whilst searching for fishing spots in North Wales. Will be going with my son next weekend. Are we still good to try some fishing at this time of year?
Always worth a go, mackerels are still in, if you get the right conditions u ll still catch them on this spot, or just fish with baits, mackerel, squid and lugworms are the main ones to use, thanks for watching and good luck 👍

10ft Ron Thompson spinning rod casts 30-80gr 3000 size spinning reel, no bait, just the mackerel feather 👍

do you know of any good spots around Colwyn bay beach or near Rhos rocks? theres works down near old Colwyn area so cant really fish there atm
Never liked fishing around Colwyn Bay or Rhos area, but you could try Rhyl splash point, some nice bass and hound coming out over high water 👍

This summer marckerel fishing has been so patch, one day their in numbers next day no sign from them, it's always worth a go, 2 hours before high tide and 1 hour after high tide, good luck with your lad 👍🎣
That's a ball lead, not a bomb. If you change to a bomb shaped lead you'll be able to cast further mate.
