    I just had Puri and parsad at a wedding in Canada. I always love it and didn't know how to make the Puri. Thanks for the recipe, I will definitely try it. Looks good!

    My husband helped me with the puri Bc I couldn’t flip the puri so fast and it came out very soft and stayed soft the next day ... loved it ... will be on this channel more often ❤️💕

    hey u know it have a roti where u roll it out n cook on a tawa n when it done cook is like 3/4 in one. n it thin. jus like this puri it looks like. but u does peel them apart.
    with this puri can u use oil instead of gee

      ☺ The roti is called Dosti Roti, we will make that asap, thanks.
      The Ghee is what is traditionally used I have not or heard of anyone substitute that with oil.

      It's called a WOK RING, and come in many designs, depends where you purchase, it can be very inexpensive. 🙂

      This one os just regular all purpose flour ( without baking powder)

      It is called Panjiri, it can be made with regular flour too ,actually we did a recipe for it but have not posted it to the channel as yet. Maybe I will post Sunday.

    I notice that U did not add baking power ? Or yeast ? Is there s reason why ..or it left out ?

      Baking powder and yeast are not used in this recipe, this is how it is made. It is meant to be thin and solid, usually eaten with some prasad or rice pudding wrapped inside.
      The ghee makes it tasty and keeps it soft as well.

    Thanks for all of your recipes. can this dough be fried in canola oil instead of ghee do not fancy the taste of ghee.

      Hi Rahman, we have never done it with cooking oil, the Ghee keeps it soft. and it is the way it should be done.
      My guess is that with the Canola oil it will be stiff, but you can try it and see how it is.😊

    We almost never use all purpose white flour in India. We always use whole wheat flour. In North India, only for chhole (chana) or kulcha naan, they use all purpose flour. But the latter is considered unhealthy

      Yes it is but it is popular in many places. I think it is called Maida.

      There are several different kinds of Puri, there are ones that can be filled like the Dhal Puri and then there are those like the Wedding house puri which is not. 🙂
      The Wedding house Puri, even though it is not filled with anything before frying, is intended to be (after frying) filled with lapsi, prasad etc, 🙂

    Why don't you wear gloves when mixing the dough and the lapsi mixture.. doesn't the metal comes off when scraping the pot with metal spoon turning the boiling lapsi mixture ? Try using a wooden spoon ..!!!
