What is the purpose of FeCl3? Is it some kind of protection or it is just because of colour? Btw nice job
kind of rust protection and it looks good after
It creates a layer of carbon tough material over the blade helping with scratches as well as preventing rust... looks are a bonus

Cool Knife! Looks very good!!
A little tip: use more lubricant. Lubricant is cheaper than a drill. When you drilled the first hole the drill soundet sharp at the begining but after it the sound was mor scratchy because the drill was doll. If you use more lubricant and slower RPM the drill wil last you longer. At our shop we have a way to calculate roughly: steele: diameter of the hole in Millimeter times 800 = RPm
Aluminium: (mm × 800) × 3 = RPM
Hard steele or CrNi steele : (mm × 800) ÷ 3 = RPM.
So i beleve you had a 4mm drill and a hard steele so the calculation would be: (4×800) ÷ 3 = 1066.7 RPM

When I was a kid, my grand dad told me one can never achieve a sharper cutting edge as a chisel grind.World War 1 era,even Springfield Arms made knives has such.A Hospital Corp bolo,they say was responsible for many battlefield "Clean ups",so they had chisel edge.Corpsman walks up to fresh hit trench,hanging limbs,etc.They had to clean them up just to get pressure wrapped.When I would sharpen a knife,until I was aged,I had single edged blades because of his word.I would rather on everything for cutting.He was US NAVY,so it is what he learned in war training.He was right to,best cutting edge..These other grinds would be used on chopping blades in 0ld days.Intricate cutters,Chisel..This knife is his own brain child,so it is what ever he wanted it as.lol...I asked in other video of your thermo coupler rig.I did not realise where I bought my forge,has them set up for mine.Just have to order.

Fue para darle el acabado "stonewash" , en el interior del tubo había piedras que al rotar rozaba con la hoja dándole ese acabado

Ferric chloride. You can make your own out of steel wool, Hydrogen Peroxide & Hydrochloric acid(aka muriatic acid). Plenty of DIY videos
