So I’m a junior in high school and I realllyyyyy want to get into the oil and gas industry but I’ve heard that it might crash do you believe so?

Well we're basically in a bust cycle right now. But that's the thing about oil and gas - it's very cyclic and increasingly more political. It sure keeps things interesting and is still a fantastic industry. Just don't come into the industry for the money.

@@floatnboyz9181 My recommendation is to not pursue petroleum engineering unless you're truly interested in it. Some folks just come into oil and gas for the money and end up in bad spots financially during downturns. There are other factors there, but if you're not interested, I'd pick a career that you are interested in. Basically, I'm just saying don't let the "highest-paid form of engineering" headlines persuade you.
